Tried to give us mussels instead of the clams and told us later they were out of it. They messed up our other orders, and didn’t even bring drinks. Now sure what is going on in this place? It used to be so good and had decent service.

My favorite phở restaurant in Utah. They give you a lot for the price and is much better than a lot of the more expensive phở restaurants.

This is another great place to dine out! They have a wide variety of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines, and it shows in their huge menu! But, we ended up getting the Phở since a lot of our friends say this was their favorite place to get it. They didn’t disappoint! The broth isn’t as oily as other places, which is totally fine with me. Even then, it’s very tasty and is complemented better with the usual hoisin and sriracha sauces. When I got the regular steak phở, they put in a decent amount of noodles and meat. That’s more than I can say for some other places. Also, whenever I used to go here, they always handed out some Che for dessert. This was typically a warm tapioca and coconut pudding. I’m not sure what happened this last time, but they didn’t. They also sell some other not-so-typical to-go foods, which I think comes in handy.

This place have some decent and special food such as steak phở(great beef) and duck porridge. The place also offer free dessert and the end of the meal love the place. Still some food is not really good and too much oily like fried phở

A regular here! The servers are super sweet. The food comes fairly quick which I love. I usually get phở, and there’s no complaints there at all. On the weekends when your finished with your food they give you complimentary Che(Vietnamese dessert). It’s pretty busy on the weekend but you still get your food pretty quick. And the pricing is super decent as well! Def would come back

Don’t waste your money here! There was two of us and the plates arrived 10 minutes apart. The chicken was like chewing leather and everything is was too greasy.

This place might not look like much on the outside, but the food here is incredible and not to be missed. On a random adventure for food today, my boyfriend and I wandered in on a whim. There were plenty of people at the restaurant and working here to lead us to believe this food would be authentic and delicious. There’s a million things on the menu, so don’t be overwhelmed. In addition to a few standard Chinese, Vietnamese fare, there’s plenty we had never heard of like sting ray stir fry. We had the fried dumplings — which were filled with pork, curry shrimp with vermicelli — so good, and a good amount of heat, and the squid stir fry which was basically fried calamari stir fried. Sooooooo ridiculously tasty. Stop here. It’s worth it.

I think I have eaten here more time than I’ve checked in and more times than I can remember. I always get the phở dac biet, it always satisfies my phở cravings which happens more times during the week than anything. The food here is full of flavor. If by some chance I dont order phở I I get the fish sauce chicken, another one of my favorites. The food here is at a decent price and I never leave this place hungry. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in need of phở, and/or a pick me up from a long night.

Got hot pot with a group of 20 for a birthday celebration. The hot pot broth was a bit too salty for my taste but a good amount of spiciness for everyone in general.

Not a bad place it has decent phở. The service is good and the restaurant appears clean. I had the phở with beef, tendon and meatball it was good the broth could have been a little more flavorful but it was worth the price. The spring rolls were also well made. I will be back.

Use to eat here all the time with my parents and now not anymore. I never order their phở anymore because to me something doesn’t taste right or the broth was just off like too sweet maybe msg or something. And so I stick with rice and grilled pork so and so. I don’t know who’s cooking in the back but they need to tied their damn hair back and wear a net or something because I had hair in my food not only once but THREE times in a row! I was like ok I’ll let it go this time because I did really enjoy their food didn’t want to give up on them just yet until this last time my parents went out and they ask me if I want something there I told them to order what I always get is broken rice with pork or beef whatever I like them both they ordered take out for me and that night I open up the box and what’s the first thing I see in my rice? Literally three strands of black hair it’s like they dropped all the rice onto the ground or something and picked it up put it back in the bowl yeah it’s a sign for me to never eat there again. I lost my appetite completely.

I took a colleague and my wife here in early March for lunch during the week. Big mistake. When we arrived, there were two restaurant employees smoking outside and the place was mostly empty even though it was lunch hour. I and my colleague had lemon grass tofu. My wife had shrimp Phở. This was the worst lemon grass tofu I have had in this area. Tofu was deep fried and shriveled. My wife’s shrimp Phở was okay, otherwise I would have rated Asia Palace even worse. There are many good quality Phở and Oriental restaurants in this area so I will never go here again. I am guessing they have padded their rating on Unilocal.I recently had a nice lunch with another friend at Green Papaya, and my friend agreed from his experience that Asia Palace was not a place to go.

At phở restaurants, I base off the Egg Noodle soup, how good the restaurant is. Their egg noodle soup was not that delicious. The ingredients were lacking and the soup was not that fresh. I would definitely like to go to Phở Saigon or Gossip café for their traditional phở as theirs is far superior. The staff is very friendly and it is a family run restaurant. I wish my experience was different.

This isn’t our usual place to go to… I love the fact they make food and sell it as well. I love how the elders smile at you its cute. Downfall service isn’t great. They lack it. They give you your water, food and etc. But never come back to check up on you. That’s a disappointment. Nor did they give you refills even though you sat their drinking bits of your water and ice. I usually order vermicelli noodles, my usual at any phở place. It tasted okay, eggrolls were tiny and had no flavor. The pork was good but the whole thing just wasn’t satisfying. My boyfriend order stir fry intestine and it tasted great even his dad and step mom loves it. Give it a try! Their combination plate, depends on the cooks are hooked up, taste varies. I love their teriyaki chicken with beef and shrimp. Like I said taste varies and depends on the cook.

My favorite spot for phở. They even have ox tail! Its an Asian restaurant so don’t judge it based on service. They do have a huge menu, which are immediate red flags. Any restaurant with a huge menu means lack of freshness, so stick to the popular items and play it safe. I also love the noodle won ton soup as well!

I’ve decided to remove my last review from a while back and do an in-depth review for Asia Palace today so take a big breath before you dive into this. Overall, I dare say AP has the best phở in Utah. I’ve been to every other phở-specialized restos in town, Oh Mai, Café Thao Mi, Phở Plus, Phở 33, Phở 99, Phở Cali, Phở Saigon, Green Papaya, La Cai, Café Trang, Rice Noodle King, Phở Tam, you name the rest… and every time I get phở somewhere else, I always get a little disappointed that overall it’s just not as good as AP’s AP has many options when it comes to phở, including the ox-tail phở, which is relatively new to AP’s menu and I believe Phở 33 is the only other place that has ox-tail in their phở. My absolute favorite phở at AP is the large special, with additional raw steak on the side(still under $ 10). The raw steak is a very good idea, and it’s AP’s dirty dirty little secret. And now you all know. Reason why it’s a must-have? Simply because you get double the meat & who doesn’t want that? But here’s the best part: from adding the extra raw steak to your phở, it significantly enhances the broth and you also get very tender, medium rare cooked steaks all for just $ 1.50 extra.(To achieve the best result, add lime to the extra steak plate, and quickly add the entire plate directly to the bowl, piece by piece. Wait a good 10 seconds before adding veggies and the rest of the condiments) Give it a try and you will thank me! Here’s my analysis for their phở: Broth: AP’s broth comes in very generous proportion of really good, clean broth with a harmonious balance between spices and beef aromas. Most importantly, the broth comes with almost zero grease! 4.5÷5(Second best, next to Phở Tam in Orem) Meat: Generous amount of meat. The meat here isn’t top notch, but it’s up to par, always fresh and consistent. Always perfectly cooked and the flavors are on point. 4⁄5(Also beat by Phở Tam) Noodles: They give you the biggest amount of noodles comparing to anywhere else in the state. The noodles here has never been overcooked or undercooked and there is just the right chewiness. 4.5÷5 Vegetable plate: By far the most presentable and most generous around. They are always serving up fresh and plentiful amounts of ngo gai, basil leaves, sprouts, lime, and jalapenos. 5⁄5 I’ve eaten more than 100 bowls of their phở over the years and the broth is around 95% consistent, with a slip here and there. I’ve also brought quite a few friends here for lunch and have never failed to impress them with the phở. Let’s not forget that beside the trending«Phở» which is growing more and more in popularity, Asia Palace also offers a large menu of other authentic Vietnamese dishes that are just equally fantastic. Here’s a list of other dishes that I DO recommend getting at AP: –Pot stickers appetizer –Vermicelli with grilled pork /bun thit nuong(you can get it with or without eggroll) –Deep fried quails –Hue Style Beef Noodles Soup(Head’s up! it’s a bit of a «different taste» if you aren’t Vietnamese, but you will most likely enjoy it) –Broken rice with BBQ pork, shredded pork, shrimp paste wrapped in bean curd, & sunny-side-up egg(I find myself begging for more rice as there is A LOT of meat to this dish, but don’t hesitate to ask for extra rice, it’s free after all… I think) –Thai style hot pot(lau thai) — good for groups of 3+ –Fried squids(muc chien) –Pan-fried rice noodles(phở ap chao) –Stir-fried vegetables and tofu(served with rice) –Fried chicken wings glazed in fish sauce(canh ga chien nuoc mam) **These are for the brave eaters, and brave eaters only: give their Ech Xao Lan(stir-fried frog dish) a go. It tastes like chicken and is quite delish. OR the pha lau is also an excellent choice, if you got the guts to eat guts. Things I DON’T recommend from AP: –Their homemade soy milk(I only had it once so it could be their off day, but it was weird tasting). Get the canned one they got instead. –Noodles in smelly fish sauce /bum mam — it requires an extreme acquire taste, especially if you don’t like fish sauce. Besides, it’s just not that great in general. –Sweet and sour soup appetizer. All in all, with more than 150 options on their menu, not counting the daily specials, it isn’t a big surprise that some of their dishes aren’t impressive. Asia Palace is still a solid and 100% authentic Vietnamese resto. in the west valley area. You just know it’s authentic when more than half of the patrons here are Vietnamese. Service is generally prompt, friendly and consistent for the most part. Pricing is pretty cheap for the quality you get. Last but not least, if you happen to check in on a weekend, each member of your party will get a complimentary tapioca dessert pudding on the house. You can’t say no to a free dessert, especially when it’s pretty good!

Ox-tail phở. Ngo gai included on garnish plate. Fish sauce, sambal, chile oil, sriracha, and hoisin on the table. BBQ pork spring rolls. Big-time bun. Oh, and did I mention that their insanely good phở has a freaking OX-TAIL option?!? Plus and super-plus, they have AC and are open on Sundays. Asia Palace puts the«my new best pal» in palace, even though three visits have revealed some broth inconsistency.

I’ve only tried the phở here, but it’s probably all I’ll ever order when I come here because I love it! It’s my favorite out of all the places I’ve tried in the 3500 S area. Perfect ratio of noodles to broth, and they don’t skimp on the meat. Ask to have your steak raw on the side, that way you can cook it yourself in the broth and it won’t be overdone! Also, most times I have gone they’ll give you a little cup of tapioca for dessert on the house!
