We had to wait 2 and a half hours for our food to be delivered. We kept calling and they kept saying they were«double checking our order» this is the 4th time it has taken over an hour and a half for our food. Each time the food comes cold and has to be microwaved.

Went here for my very pregnant wife’s cravings(one of the last ones). The food wasn’t bad. Against my better judgment I went with the beef noodle soup(phở). It was just ok. I don’t doubt the reviews and would give this place another shot. My wife’s general tso’s chicken was good. The service was pleasant but the time we waited reduced my review to 3. They have a ton of items on the menu and perhaps it contributes to the delay of our meal. The food came in now logical order and out dim sum ended being a take out. The restaurant was not busy at all but I think there were also some take out orders.

Found this place on Unilocal.Small restaurant with very helpful and pleasant staff. I ordered take out sushi and lo mein. The man at the register gave me some sushi suggestions, I took his suggestion for the salmon roll. Delicious. The wasabi pleasantly painful, definitely fresh! The sushi was fresh made and delicious. Only drawback was the shrimp lo mein, some of the shrimp weren’t deveined. I will definitely be going back! If only for the sushi!

Very disappointed! I’ve ordered from here a few times before and gotten pretty regular Chinese delivery, nothing great nothing bad. But tonight I called to order delivery, was told it would be an hour, called after an hour and a half, and was told the driver had left already, from there it took almost another 30 minutes for him to get there(I live about 3.5 miles away). The worst part though is that my food tasted like they had made it when I had first called two hours earlier, everything was cold, my crab Rangoon had gotten so hard I couldn’t even bite into the edges and had to throw most of it away. Busy nights happen, but to show up an hour late with cold food is totally unacceptable, will not be ordering from here again

Ordered at around 7:15. Called again at around 8:15 to check on the order and was told it was on its way. Called again at 9:45 to be told they couldn’t see an order at our address. We won’t bother again.

I am pleased to say that this menu has many vegetarian options. However, the veggie pad thai I had was a bit lacking in the amount of veggies in the dish. Also it took over an hour from ordering for the food to be delivered. I will probably eat from here again and try another meal.

I struggle with the star rating in that I am writing about a recent delivery experience not about the food…(the food is decent). I have been ordering delivery from Ye Express for some time and(shame on me!), never looked closely at the bill, but always thought it seemed a little high for what I ordered. This most recent time I kept track of the cost of my order and found the bill was high. I called to inquire and found out that because I live 4.5 miles from them(outside of their 3 mile range), they have been charging me their regular $ 1.50 delivery fee PLUS an upcharge. I am not sure what it has been previously, but this time the upcharge was $ 4.00ONTOPOF the $ 1.50. Are you kidding me??? I live 1+ miles beyond their normal delivery range and they are charging me a 300% premium on top of their delivery charge. I am sorry to say I am done with Ye Express. I am disappointed because their food is good, but this charge is ridiculous. PS — I noticed in another review that their delivery range was«5 miles». With the current price of gas I wonder why it is now 3? Also, no reference to this on menu, nor website.

I don’t write reviews often/at all really– but this was review worthy! Best Chinese food I’ve ever had! I don’t eat Chinese food very often, and a lot of times when I do, I end up feeling let down. However, this went above and beyond for me! The spare ribs are by far the best I’ve ever had and the crab rangoons were delicious as well! I will not be going ANYWHERE else from now on!

We have always liked this place since our move to the area. The building is unassuming but the staff is very friendly, courteous and caring making sure everything is to your liking. We have ordered take out and have either picked it up or had it delivered. If you order delivery before 5p the delivery is quick and prompt. However if you order after 5:30p expect a little wait as it could take up to and hour to get your food. After ordering from here for almost a year, we just learned today that since we live out of the new 5 mile radius of the restaurant, there is now a delivery charge — albeit a small $ 4 charge, it’s an additional charge none-the-less. This added fee will either be taken from the drivers tip or we’ll reduce the amount of times we order delivery from here.

Well, it’s been two years since my first review, and two years I’ve been remiss in upgrading Ye Express from 3 to 5 stars. I’ve only done takeout on the few occasions I’ve visited here when they first opened, and service was fast and efficient. And it is worth noting that the staff are terrific about providing all of the condiments, oils, sauces, peanuts and even limes you’d get for dine-in service. My experience has not been the same with many other takeouts. I’m a HUGE fan of the nime chow and pad Thai – some of the best on the planet! So much so, I keep coming back for those few staples and have yet to try the rest of their extensive menu. Soonish! Don’t be fooled by the location or exterior of this Arctic location. Great food, pleasant service and yummy eats await! Shout out to my fellow Unilocalers for luring me back to Ye Express. Your reviews never fail me!

I’m a little surprised because the food is not as good as the reviews led me to believe. With that said, the food was good… but I expected great. The steamed dumplings were very doughy but the meat inside was delicious. The fried rice was good, it had huge chunks of pork, but very little flavor. Finally, I had sesame chicken. Again, it was good, but lacked flavor. The service was excellent, the delivery was fast and friendly, and the prices were very good. All in all, it was one of the better chinese places around here butnot a 5 star for sure.

This place largely seems to be utilized for take out more than dine in. However the restaurant has a decent feel and is more comfortable than many Chinese food places. Their menue has a good variety of the standard take-out type fare plus expands into a few other varieties like Be Bong and the like. The waitress was attentive and friendly making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was satisfactory. I had the hot-n-sour soup and the Moo Shu(chicken). I typically judge a Chinese food place by their hot-n-sour soup. I think a lot can be told by the freshness of ingredients and the quality of the broth. I can tell you what I am NOT looking for is canned mushrooms and snot-textured broth. Ye Express hot-n-sour soup was on the higher end of my pleasure scale for this dish. I am not saying this type of soup is the best ever, but I enjoy it at Asian places more than most(tom kai-gai is at the top of my list). Their broth was light and almost runny. it did have some thickener in it but not much. The soup had a bit of kick which is also missing from many soups of this variety. The mushrooms were FRESH!!! almost unheard of. the other ingredients had ‘bite’ to them at least telling me that if they were canned at one point, they hadn’t been sitting in a slurry getting soft. The Moo Shu is also a dish that the difference between a great experience and a dull one can be a small gap. I do enjoy a good Moo Shu though. What makes theirs is two things. The hoisin sauce seemed particularly flavorful. It gave the otherwise fairly bland mix of cabbage and chicken and other things I can’t identify the extra boost needed. However, I ate leftovers for breakfast this morning and I can say that it wasn’t too bad by itself(without the sauce). Again, my believe is they used hand-chopped cabbage and other veggies. Even this morning after sitting all night they still had flavor and some chewiness. Prices are average and I know the location is a favorite among locals for take-out.

In boxing terms, I rate this establishment a 10 on the Manny Pacquiao scale, because its punching way above its weight. I recently asked about this place, having read a listing for the Best Chinese restaurants in Every State. Let’s say the article piqued my interest, and though the author hadn’t bothered to actually dine in the restaurant, I decided to make my way over here for a meal. I’m glad I did. Its not much to look at from the outside, a pretty generic concrete block box in the Arctic section of West Warwick. But they’re running some kind of special ship in the back I’ll bet. Our waiter was kind and prompt. The food fresh, and hot, and delicious. We started with an order of Nime Chow(Vietnamese), and I am expecting some generic, slipshod version of delivery fast food, and we’ll move along. I get these softly rolled pillows, fresh and bright tasting, verdant green mint leave adorned gems. The shrimp inside are briny and sweet, the bean sprouts snap with the taste of the earth. To dress them, a house made and expertly so, sauce of rich peanut grinds and sweet soy. Quite simple, and common dish, rarely done this well. I also thought I’d try a chicken wing or two. Some of my favorite Chinese food stops excel at spicy fried chicken dishes. This one does have a very satisfying crispy crunch, but I found the seasoning lacked the heat and flavor I expected. A second shot at spicy fried chicken was more successful, demonstrably so. That dish, the Loc Lac Chicken(Cambodian), offered an intriguing mix of garlic and black pepper with the tart and sweet of the juice of a lime. Again, outstanding. An order of pan fried Gyoza, filled with spiced ground Pork, was well prepared but not terribly exciting. A generously large bowl of Vietnamese Rice Noodle Soup however, again showed off expert cookery, the thin sections of Pork shoulder had just the right tender feel and nice depth of flavor. The broth was both fragrant and well seasoned, quite well done. This may not be the most adventurous stop on a tour of Asian foodstuffs, but it certainly makes the list of ones where they get the cooking part right. I’m a fan.

Their Orange Chicken is the best I’ve had so far in RI. I haven’t really expanded my resto experience but I’ve tried many Asian resto and I was always disappointed. This Orange Chicken is crunchy yet tender in the inside. It’s not just sugar too! But you can taste the orangy taste! The chicken loc lac was really good! It actually made me feel like eating a chicharon coz it’s just crispy and very flavorful. I’m so glad I had the loc lac for my dinner. The Mochi green tea flavor is all frozen yet it’s still good. Not the same Mochi I had in my country but sure this holds a candle to it. :) I didn’t like the Chinese siomai unfortunately. It doesn’t have much flavor to it. I only ate 2 pieces of the 4 they serve and yet I struggled to finish my second siomai. I don’t recommend to order their siomai or it’s just a waste of money, time and disappointments. Hope they figure out how to improve their siomai coz I love siomai! :) So far, my experience with Ye express is good. Our waiter was really nice and very accommodating. However I do understand why we waited almost an hour for our food coz it was Friday night and there were a lot of take out orders and I doubt they have many cooks or chef since it’s just a small resto. Overall, our experience is great and will def come back!!!
