What a great find on Unilocal!We wanted a pastry one morning in lieu of a full breakfast. Decided to get the cinnamon rolls, although all of the pastries looked delicious! The rolls were huge, moist, filled with a gooey cinnamon swirl and covered with a nice glaze. Just the right amount of sweetness. The breakfast sandwiches at the table next to ours looked great too! They also have lunch sandwiches, which I wish we had picked up before going into the park as the food in the park is not good! Don’t miss this place while in town!

I stopped by for lunch and YOU HAVE TO GET THE LIGHTNING BOLT. Holy crap, it’s sooo good. Very light vanilla whipped cream filling, it’s like eating air. I was lucky to stop by on 9÷21÷15 because they’re only open during the summer and completely closed during the winter. And they close after this week. Get them while you can, also their honey oat bread is good as well.

Delicious fresh bakery items, fantastic service. Grab a pastry for breakfast and get a sandwich to go for your Yellowstone adventure. Just wish they were open on Sundays.

Looking at the choices in West Yellowstone, it seemed apparent we’d have to choose between good coffee and good food. The baked goods didn’t disappoint and I was pleasantly surprised that the coffee wasn’t bad. There was also a nice array of syrup and different creamers to go in it.

Went there today for a quick breakfast with expectations that met.
Decent breakfast sandwiches — go for half of you want to grab a croissant or something. The fruit bowl is a great to munch on beginning of your day.
The only thing I would expect for a café it bakery is to have options in types of coffee they do and not just filter coffee.
Conveniently located in the heart of west Yellowstone town.

Great Falls, MT
A nice little bakery close to the YNP West Entrance. A good variety of pastries, breads, and stuff to get your day started. They offer made to order breakfast sandwiches and a discount on day-​old goods. The staff is quite friendly and quick to take orders, although it can be slow to get sandwiches. Everything has a wonderful hand-​made touch and details to show that they take pride in what they do.

After being in West Yellowstone for a week and going to all the local recommended restaurants and not being impressed we decided to stop into this place for a late lunch. We had a couple of sandwiches which were some of the most refreshing food we had our whole trip here. Too bad it was on our last day. My wife would have eaten here every day if we had stopped by earlier. She loved the orange cinnamon roll that she had with her lunch and decided to take another with her for desert.
The staff was super friendly had a refreshing happy to see you attitude. If I am ever back in West Yellowstone, I will be eating here again.
The free WiFi was nice too.

We were in West Yellowstone on vacation and our son was having a birthday. They made a 6 inch cake for us. It was so delish. Also had their cinnamon rolls. We were told to arrive before 7 a.m. and get in line, boy were they worth it.

Yu-​uuuuuuuum! Started with their made-​to-​order simple deli sandwiches — simple and great. I had the turkey on a croissant and kids and hub had roast beef — all were content.
Then came dessert! As others suggested, we had two Thunderbolts and a chocolate raspberry cake ball. The thunderbolts were excellent! Kinda like eclairs — once again simple but soooooo tasty! My husband was in heaven!
Sweet young ladies working there — place is very basic but clean, smaller yet comfortable. Wasn’t crowded but a consistent flow of people coming in.

It appears I’m an oddball on this one. Let me be clear that this review is on the sandwiches and not the sweets– although, we did have one chocolate chip cookie.
The egg croissant I ordered with tomatoes, jalapeños, and avocado was quite tasty (available all times of day). In a town with what appeared to be very few vegetables on the menu, it would have been nice to see more colorful vegetables on the board like spinach, sprouts and sundried tomatoes. Mmm.
My reason for not caving in on 4 stars is that they lost my dining partner’s order. Luckily, he checked in on his food or we would have been waiting much longer. They were apologetic and gave him a free cookie when the food was completed.
Woodside Bakery is an ideal carry out option for breakfast or lunch one block off of the touristy strip.

I really didn’t expect to find such an awesome bakery in a tiny gateway town. The baked goods here are simply labor of love. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are all made to order and prepared with the freshest bread they made. Kitchen are quite open so you can take a peek to check out the chefs working at different stations. Catch one of the fresh out of the oven pastries and you will be in heaven.
Next time on your way in or out of Yellowstone, be sure to stop here for a foodie approved sandwich.

Awesome food and service! We had their sandwiches and pastries. The sandwiches are so fresh. We had them two days in row, they were so good. The pastries are also super fresh and tasty. The thunderbolt is SO good! I don’t think they are capable of making anything sub-​par here. If you’re in West Yellowstone, you have to stop.
