CrossFit Prototype is an amazing place that turned me from a sedentary couch potato that hated exercise into someone who actually enjoys working out. Since joining CFP, I’ve experienced major improvements in strength, overall fitness, and confidence. The coaches are friendly, knowledgable, and patient. In each class, they review technique and give individual attention to assess form and give feedback. The coaches also help to scale the difficulty of workouts to match individuals’ fitness capabilities and make modifications as needed(accounting for difficulty, mobility or injury-related limitations, etc.), which helps keep everyone challenged but at an appropriate level. For me, the small group classes and combined strength and conditioning components of the daily workouts are more engaging and effective than using cardio machines or trying to navigate the weight room on my own. In addition to the daily workouts, CFP also offers some great supplementary programs. The CFP virtuosity program is a system where band levels are earned by completing benchmarks of increasing difficulty(similar to belt systems in martial arts), which is very helpful with goal-setting. They’ve also provided additional classes in olympic weightlifting, mobility assessments with recommendations for accessory work, gymnastics seminars, and more. Finally, the best part about this gym is the community. CFP coaches and members feel like a family and are incredibly kind and supportive. Having a group of friends cheer you on through the end of a tough workout is a huge contrast to working out solo at a regular gym. The added encouragement and accountability make a big difference when trying to stick to a workout routine. I’m so glad I joined CrossFit Prototype and encourage everyone to give it a try!

My 5 year old takes jiu-jitsu here with Frankie, and we couldn’t be more pleased. He is wonderful with the students, and we’ve already seen him growing in confidence in a few short weeks. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no place for us to really watch the classes. I have 2 other young children, and we are usually stuck on the floor in between cross fit equipment. Can’t speak to the crossfit because my husband goes to a different Box, but everyone seems friendly.

There are so many activities and sports available for kids now it can be pretty overwhelming for both parent and child. When it comes to choosing, the opinion of someone you know tends to be the best way to go. I cannot say enough good things about the experience we have had with Crossfit Prototype/Prototype Kids. The entire Team here is amazing. They are knowledgeable and careful. They know how to motivate and how to engage children of any age, and the best part, they tire out the child in a single session. The options are simple, pay for unlimited classes or go the punch card route. At the end of the day, it costs no more than most kids activities. If you haven’t done it yet, check out their Facebook Page and website. Better yet, bring your child there for a class, they give the first one for free. So no harm, no foul if they find it isn’t for them.

Mike and Brian at crossfit prototype have brought me a long ways in a short amount of time. The knowledge and focus they bring to the box matches no other. Their attention to technique and form with the movements will keep you on a safe road to a healthier lifestyle. The atmosphere here is hard to put into words. In a matter of a few workouts you have built relationships that you know will last a lifetime. You have to experience a workout to understand the energy level it brings to your life. I wake up in the morning ready to attack the day. It has brought immense positive energy to what has been a trying year for me. My life has benefited in so many ways from being more productive at work to being a better father. I look forward to the continued progress and life long change in my nutrition and fitness.

Like many others, I have been going to the gym for the past 6 years after graduating from college. I go through my cardio routine for an hour and then lift weights for another 30 minutes. After I stretch and shower, I’m out of the gym in roughly 2 hours. I have been attending crossfit sessions for the past 2 months and it has reminded me how much I used to enjoy fitness. I am totally hooked! Not only am I in and out of the gym in 60 minutes, but the workout I am getting is more intense and well-rounded than anything I can get in a traditional gym. The things that I miss the most from playing sports at the collegiate level is the comraderie and support, especially in fitness. CrossFit Prototype has been able to fill that void by offering all of what I loved in college: Group workouts, muscle confusion, cardio and strength training, competition, and instructor led classes. Not all crossfit gyms are equal. I recommend evaluating a gym by looking at the space and layout, the quality of the instructors, the quality of the members, and the accessibility. CrossFit prototype is a very inviting scene because the head instructors, Mike and Brian, are extremely enthusiastic about coming to work and creating an atmosphere where others want to belong. Whether a beginner or a veteran, everyone is welcome and encouraged to train at their own pace. After nearly 2 months, I have noticed substantial improvements in my strength, agility, and endurance. I highly recommend visiting.

Before I discovered CrossFit, I found myself wandering around the gym aimlessly wasting time, trying to work my connections to get on the list for spin class and never reaching my weight loss or fitness goals. As someone who grew up playing sports, I’ve always wanted a competitive and challenging way to exercise. What I found at CrossFit is just that and so much more. The camaraderie is what keeps me accountable and the functional movements keep me coming back for more. There is nothing like wanting that unassisted kip so bad and then one day, actually doing it. CrossFit Prototype is a «gym» yes, but it’s really a community. And the community is what gets my so-not-a-morning person lazy A@$ outta bed in the morning. Mike, the owner, is an incredible athlete, trainer, and coach. He is intelligent and knowledgeable and takes the time to get to know your weaknesses and strengths. He knows how to challenge you, inspire you, and push you outside your comfort zone. He is also a walking example of the product he believes in so deeply. His own fitness, passion, and intelligence is inspiring. I’ve trained at other CrossFit gyms and the community Mike is creating is what I’ve personally been looking for. Everyone is warm, welcoming, and excited to get to know someone that’s new. As a team, the bond we share because of the blood, sweat and tears we shed is incredible. Brian, the co-owner, is quite possibly the nicest person I’ve ever met and his kid is a complete«mini-me» of him. He is so cute. Brian’s knowledge of the human body and how everything connects is astounding. I will literally go up to him and say, «Brian my knee hurts» and he explain exactly why it hurts and how to make it better. Brian always has a smile on his face and is there to lift you up when you feel down and out. His positivity and passion keeps me going when I’m not sure I can power through. He is also the man when it comes to MMA! What I love most about CrossFit Prototype is that no matter who you are, what fitness level you are at, how tall or short, coordinated or uncoordinated you are, every time you walk through those doors you are humbled. Good day or bad day, Mike, Brian and everyone at CrossFit Prototype is there to cheer you on and help you get to where you want to be. I highly recommend CrossFit Prototype.
