Nice place, stick to the breakfast or fried food. I got a seafood stew that was, er, boring. More like a soup… like Campbell’s. But, I ignored advise to skip such dishes. My wife’s fish and chips was wonderful.

Harry’s is not only a family favorite but a Central Massachusetts favorite. While small and straight out of the 50s, the food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is familial and pleasant. Never been more sure about giving 5 stars in my life. Harry’s offers basically everything you could want to eat or drink — breakfast food to fried seafood to ice cream sundaes to sandwiches to pies to assorted beers and wines. I can particularly talk to their breakfast and dessert selections and say that they have never disappointed. There are seemingly infinite choices and I think I’ve been able to have something different each time I’ve been there. While I can’t speak to their dinner/seafood menu with as much authority, my understanding is that this is their specialty, so based on my other experiences, I’d have to assume it was good. Harry’s is always busy, so be prepared for a wait if you go right at a peak meal time. They are also cash only, but have an ATM in house. Neither of these factors, in my mind, detract from the experience that is otherwise an impressively delightful one at any time of day.

Over cooked chicken. Not so fresh lobster. Even fries and onion rings were disappointing.

Nice little place that I have driven by 5,000 times and never knew existed. It’s very old school. There are a lot of choices on the menu and a lot of comfort foods. They sell alcohol as well. I had a cheeseburger club and it was incredible the burger was SO juicy! They serve seafood as well which looked and smelled delicious. The staff was very friendly and we felt like regulars even though it was our first time there. Too bad the drive-in didn’t still exist !!!

Pros: good hot classic fried seafood. Pretty large menu. Call in your order ahead of time for to-go. Cons: interior is classic but dated. They only take cash.

For a place that advertises their clams, their belly clams were not spectacular. Batter was well fried but lacked flavor; and the clams themselves were small, stringy, and a little sandy. Good service and cozy atmosphere though.

Fabulous clam rolls, and their own home-made potato chips, served piping hot. Terrific waitstaff. It’s been around for 70 years for a reason. Love the«Fried is a Food Group» shirts!

The food here is fabulous. The prices are amazing. You get such value for you meal. I come here all the time for a fresh fish dinner. Love that fact that I can also have a glass of wine! Their fried clams are the best ever. The owners treat you like family. It’s a true New England staple. Don’t miss out you can’t compare this with all the fast food joints that surround Harry’s.

This has recently become our absolute favorite diner for lunch/dinner. I don’t eat seafood but my wife does and she usually gets fried seafood or the lobster roll. I usually get a bacon cheeseburger that they offer that comes on a pretzel bun. I’ve also tried one of their specials at the time and it was honey & beer spare ribs with fries and coleslaw. Delicious! I was very impressed. They have Lime Rickey’s and amazing milkshakes. Need I say more? Haha. They have a large menu with different varieties of food. Everything we’ve tried we’ve loved. Staff is always very friendly. It can get a little cramped in there but go during the week and there will always be an empty seat. They let you seat yourself by the way. A little above average priced but you get what you pay for. Nice little diner to go to after work if you don’t feel like cooking. Love this place and will continue to go back. 4 times and counting.

I love this place! I go here all time. The hours are great the waitresses are always nice and the menu is endless! The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the food is a little on the expensive side and its cash only. But other than those 2 things this place is awesome I will keep coming back!

Good food, but no Credit Card can be a bit of a problem. I mean they have ATM, but then you add the ATM Fees! Otherwise, it’s does have some good comfort food.

My mother and I were craving fried seafood and we stopped in at Harry’s for lunch today. We hadn’t been in many years, but the food was just as amazing as I remembered. I ordered the calamari and my mom ordered the belly plate. The seafood was hot, fresh, and fried to perfection. The french fries that came with our plates were also great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and made the rounds every few minutes. The next time I am looking to satisfy my craving for fried seafood, I will be heading to Harry’s!

One of my favorite spots to eat after some mountain biking! This place isn’t fancy, it’s exactly what you picture when you think of an old New England drive in. Homemade pies, ice creams, fried seafood, chowders, and homestyle/comfort foods as well. They even make vanilla coke right in front of you, instead of buying the bottled vanilla coke… I know that doesn’t seem like much, and maybe it’s mostly nostalgia, but it’s wonderful! They also serve beer(not sure baout wine or hard liquor). I’m always tempted by the homemade pies and the ice cream there, but I’m always too full to try. One day… The wait staff has always been super friendly and the food is always perfect. This is New England style comfort food at its absolute best!

Wow — up here from NJ for baseball tournament. Found Harry’s on the way to complex. New England experience. Brings back memories of trips to Martha Vineyard. Great Lobster roll and clam bellies. Fish chowder to start was very good too. Wine be beer available. Lots of other choices as well!

I love perfectly prepared fried clams, and I also love restaurants that have been around a while and have their own unique vibe. Harry’s has it all! I went to Harry’s because I was on a dedicated mission. My son and I wanted fried clams and we were prepared to drive up to 30 minutes from our home in Natick to access them. After crunching the numbers(and Unilocal reviews), our analysis concluded that Harry’s was our best bet. Inside, Harry’s looks the same as it probably did 30 years ago. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with comfortable booths and seventies style wood paneling. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, and just being there transports you to another time and place. My son and I were laser-focused on the clams mission(cole slaw and fries were mere distractions) and after doing the math I realized we’d be better off splitting a quart of belly clams a la carte than getting two dinner platters. My wife ended up getting a bowl of fish chowder and my other son got the Shepard’s pie, and we all split an order of onion rings. Our serving of clams was awe-inspiring, just huge. The waitress split the quart into two servings on a single serving platter. After years of practice, I’m really skilled at overeating, but I honestly wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to get through all of them. I was to be proven wrong. Quality-wise, the clams were 5 stars. I used to work as a fry cook at a legendary place on the Cape and I know a good clam when I taste one. These were golden brown, fresh and plump, and the bellies were perfectly clean — no grit at all. And they were fried to perfection(easier said than done). Perfect amount of crunch, not greasy, just right. The onion rings were also Grade A. Crunchy but tender, not too thick, no grease, and the coating didn’t separate from the onion upon impact as is all too common. Again, just right. With a tiny bit of help from my wife, my son and I polished off the whole plate of clams and rings. The best news is that despite the absolute gluttony, I experienced zero indigestion. I was fully prepared to make the sacrifice, but to my surprise, nothing bad happened at all. In fact, I felt just fine. I’ve felt worse after eating a medium fries at McDonald’s than I did after splitting a quart of fried clams at Harry’s. That’s a tribute to the quality of the food and their frying skills. According to my family, thumbs up on the Shepard’s pie and chowder as well(although I really wasn’t paying attention). The waitress couldn’t have been nicer and she made us feel right at home. To paraphrase Arnold, «We’ll be baaack.»

We tried this gem after seeing many posts from friends on Facebook. The place is small, yet comfy, with outstanding service and great food. The menu is expansive and while seafood is the star, other offerings including breakfast should not take a back seat. The Crab and Lobster Bisque is like no other I have ever tasted. Thick and creamy but also light. The whole belly clam and oyster combo plate was seafood perfection, with a decent portion of seafood and crispy french fries. Other menu items include burgers and pasta dishes along with chicken and ribs and shepherds pie. I did not try the mac and cheese but I saw a whole lot of it being ordered. The only bad thing was leaving, but I can correct that and I will.

I came here for dinner and got exactly what I expected. I had the buffalo chicken cheese fries and a Philly cheese steak sub. There was barely any buffalo chicken on the fries but an INSANE amount of cheese. It was pretty disgusting. I could hear my heart shriek with each frie I ate. The Philly cheese was really generic. The meat was thin so I was gobbling mouthfuls of bread down. To make matters worse, the steak needed some salt or some sort of seasoning, it tasted like nothing! While the food was mediocre, the service was exceptional. My waitress made sure I was comfortable throughout the night.

Great little dinner setting! They have great hours open till 11PM most nights and 12AM on Friday and Saturday nights. They serve breakfast all day too. And they also have beer! Cash only — there is an ATM in the restaurant if you forget. A handful or so of booths with a couple small tables and also few bar-stools at the counter. This place is not fancy and probably hasn’t been renovated since the 50’s — but seriously who cares — good food and staff is all that matters! We came in thinking they mostly served seafood but after receiving the menu were pleasantly surprised with how many different offerings they had — at least 7 full pages. Everything ranging from salads, appetizers, pasta, sandwiches, home-style dinners and seafood. We started with the spicy fried pickles — these were so good. Spicy but a perfect balance with the batter and dipping sauce. I had the key west fried haddock dinner. The fish was cooked perfect and the coleslaw was very good. My lunch companion had the fried clam bellies dinner — which I had to try — the clams were cooked perfect and so tender. They have a ton of homemade pies, desserts, frappes and sundaes. We were too stuffed for any of those but will definitely be back to try more.
