The drinks were great, I had the mango mango mojito delicious and the agave mojito is a must try. The jerk chicken pizza is sweet and spicy.

I’m giving this place five stars because my family loves this place. It’s the one rare location that suits all the picky eaters i got. We’ve also only been like a hundred times. Especially because I used to live across the street practically from the one on 30th and PAS in the city. Ha ha Great spot for kids of all ages and can still order alcohol. Naturally. Best mac and cheese(per my children) EVER. This coming from the pickiest 6 yr old eater and my other kid whom enjoys his sushi, foie Gras, and Kobe beef. Hee hee(I’m grooming him to become a food critic or a chef!) Just a note: their pizza is not Grimaldi’s, not Patsy’s, and not your good old fashioned Ray’s in the city. But considering I’ve practically eaten each type at least once, I can tell you all are worth trying and you’ll easily find a favorite. Can’t compare to other wood burning pizza places because this place is in a category all its own. Their pasta dishes are great to. My favorite besides the mac is their pesto pasta(add Gorgonzola please). My hubby likes the Kung Pao spaghetti. Yes, he’s Chinese and not ABC! Try the small plates if you’re worried you’d be to full.

Apparently CPK is the gold standard when it comes to suburban dining, so I came in with pretty high expectations. It was my first time at the restaurant. To be perfectly honest, half of my table arrived relatively late, so I applaud my waiter’s patience. Service in general was average which is usually all I ask for. The bread they offered was pretty plain and a bit overdone. I didn’t enjoy the bread, but the main issue I had with it was that for a table of six, we were each given a single piece the size of a small stone. All in all, the bread sucked. The bread and butter of CPK is supposedly their pizza and I actually enjoyed it(for the most part). My table ordered the Tostada, The Works, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, and the Fish Tacos. I can vouch for the others but the Jamaican Jerk Chicken was way too sweet for my taste.

The Quick: This might be a chain, but the food is so delicious and worth the wait. Jamaican Jerk chicken pizza and the avocado egg rolls are mouth watering(just avoid glancing at the calorie facts). The Details: Now that most chain restaurants in New York have to put the calorie facts next to the entrée options, I feel like there’s literally nothing I can eat and not feel guilty about(always trying to lose 5 lbs). That being said the California pizza kitchen is definitely calorific so go into that expecting you’ll have to do a few more lunges afterwards. They recently made their pizza smaller to be less gluttonous, and probably less expensive to make. Either way the food is delicious. I dream about the Jamaican jerk chicken pizza and the avocado eggrolls as mentioned above(comes with a fantastic dipping sauce that I always ask for extra of). Other winners are the BBQ Chicken, California club, anything with chicken and/or bacon really. It’s always crowded, but it’s a fun spot to go for comfort food(yes pizza is my potatoes and gravy style comfort food). The Damage: The personal pizzas are not overly expensive, but the drinks are astronomical for a chain restaurant in the mall parking lot.
