Punta Cana Dominican Grill

They have great customer service. My wife and I ordered Mofongo (beef & pork). We loved it so much that we ordered another one to go. It’s a small location, but I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great dominican food. Also, they are not expensive, and they have Country Club soda. Mmmm yummy.

I was definitely excited when punta cana grill had opened up. Dominican food right in my neighborhood! The owners are also super friendly. There is even a rewards program where you can receive discounts toward your purchase or free items like empanadas or free drinks. Who doesn’t love free! The food is always fresh. They have a stream table with items like pernil, chicharon, Yuca, sweet plantains, baked and stewed chicken ect. also have a menu you can order from. Items such as mofongo, sandwiches such as the Cuban, chimi churi (Dominican version of a hamburger, very tasty) and grilled chicken. They even have Dominican salami and eggs. Never been disappointed here and will be on my list of regular places to eat.

Was craving tostones and this definitely hit the spot! The platters we ordered took longer than we would have liked to wait so you should call ahead or order online. It was a tad on the salty side but pretty good regardless. And bonus! The staff was really friendly. I would go back again!

Food was the right price to try a few different things, the tacos for $ 2.50 were banging. The shredded pork was great the delivery was fast and I’ll def be ordering from here on a more steady basis. We also had the roasted chicken and empanadas that were tasty! Great new takeout option for us, thanks!
Okay my second time ordering from here and just want to give my love cause the food was banging! Best pork monfongo I’ve ever had & family meal was huge and the chicken stew was delicious. I have so much food left over but trust me it won’t go to waste. Taco was so good too.

I’ll go out of my way to eat here. It’s real food… And affordable! The food is delicious and they’ve earned my business.

Stumbled upon this place with the boyfriend while in the area and was looking up food places on Unilocal.Not sure if you have to pay for street parking because there’s these ancient looking meters and didn’t see any pay booths. Parked the car across the street and watched it like a hawk for any meter maids during our meal.
Boyfriend got a mixed platter of 3 things plus rice which he said everything was delicious. I got the Cubano (Cuban sandwich), Country Club Merengue bottled drink and a Morir Sonando (can’t figure out how to get the tilde on the n on this computer) drink. I could barely finish half the Cubano (very yummy btw) and the Morir Sonando was delicious and a very good size for the price. I thought I was gonna get a dinky 8 – 12 oz drink for some reason. It tastes like a orange vanilla popsicle in drink form. I brought the Merengue drink home and haven’t popped it open so I can’t comment on that yet. I love Spanish music so I was very content with the bachata they played over the speakers while I enjoyed my meal! Clean little pleasant restaurant on the corner.

Shredded pork and Mondogo are so good! The foods always fresh, the guys are super nice and the portions are huge. Deff have to come with an empty stomach.

Great, clean place great prices and family combos prices are very reasonable and food is not greasy definitely will recommend.

So many kinds of beef, chicken, and pork entrees… You know the feeling when you’ve started to eat something but you’re already thinking of the dish you can’t wait to come back to eat? It was that feeling.
And they distributed cakes to each party. So sweet. (The cake and the service.)
The guy kindly and super patiently explained what each dish was. We were quite surprised he was so patient.

Very good! Mofongo de pollo con tostones mmm good! Served quickly and clean atmosphere. Not very big, but can tell this place has a lot of foot traffic. Would def come back here for good Dominican food.

This is an updated review. I came here a third time with a friend and couldn’t help but to get a small size tray (they pack the food in so no need to get a larger size) of pulled pork (so good i could eat it at every meal), plantains, and yellow rice and beans. I got a can of soda as well at it came out to like $ 6. Food was banging; plantains were so moist and juicy, rice was on point and the pork was perfect and moist. I’ve been here 3 times and still haven’t gotten anything except the pulled pork even though i came in telling myself i needed to switch it up. And the price is unbeatable for what i had. I left stuffed. That experience definitely warrants 5 stars and i’m willing to overlook the bad experience i had with the vegetables my first time.

As you approach the cafeteria style set up you can choose the size of your meal by ordering either a Cana bowl or platter. The platter is a bit more expensive since you can choose two meats and sides, rice and beans. The Cana bowl only one meat and one side.
The selection of food is pretty amazing as you walk up to the glass, pernil, baked chicken, pork chops, beef stew and Chicharron just to name a few. They also have many sides to choose from like plantains, yucca and mixed veggies.
They don’t skimp on the portions here. Come with an appetite because you’ll be walking out here adding inches to your waistline and your friends and family affectionately calling you Gordo or Gordita! I had to tell them to stop putting so much food on my plate! The rhythm of the Dominican bachata music playing in the background kept me in the zone and chewing in time, no wonder I was able to eat everything! Curse you Romeo Santos!
Don’t forget to check in on Unilocal since they showed me some Unilocal Love and gave me 10% off my order! They also serve empenadas, heroes, burgers, and salads and have some great combo dinners for a good price.
The staff here is super friendly and nice, Punta Cana simply put offers Great and tasty Dominican food, that’s «Bueno, Bonito, Borato!!!

My lunch box has ox tail, chicken and yellow rice for $ 8.15. 85% of container is yellow rice, meat s only 15% It is kind of expensive for the meat portion. Only three small ox tails and two chicken pieces. But at least very tender and flavorful. It would be wonderful if they charge by food weight like other buffets do (I never buy rice/​noodles)

This place is a GEM! I am new to the area and was going to order delivery the day before I actually came in person. However, they close at 9pm and they take their last delivery orders at 8:30pm. It was 8:40ish pm when I was going to order so I wasn’t able to. However, the next day I went to the restaurant in person and it was probably the best decision. Let me break it down:
— The staff is terrific! Super friendly and they will serve big portions. Also, they are very knowledgeable about the menu so of course that is a plus (in case you are not familiar with Spanish Caribbean food).
— The location is small but really cozy. My boyfriend and I dined in and enjoyed our time.
— They have premade food which you can order and they will serve in front of you right away. However, if whoever you are with is going to order something from the menu that needs to be made when ordered, and someone else is getting something that is already made you might want to wait. My mistake was that I ordered my food (which was already cooked) and my boyfriend ordered a Mofongo de Pollo (which had to be cooked at the moment) so I ended up eating half my food before his came out. No biggie though, just a heads up!
— Who seemed to be the owner was extremely personable and came actually came out and took our plates after we were done. He asked where we heard about the restaurant and was veryyy nice. Definitely will be coming back.
All in all, great food and super affordable prices.

I’m working in the area & this is the 3^rd time in a week that I’m eating here! Everything is amazing but my fav is the pernil tacos! The prices are great & everyone serves you with a smile on their faces including John the owner!!! Yummmmmm
