While it’s true that Rani herself is rude and unprofessional, after going to her salons in Floral Park and Westbury for the past 15 years, she does have talented people doing eyebrows there. I only go to the Westbury location now and the one girl that’s always there does an excellent job threading my eyebrows. It’s a shame though because I’ve heard Rani treats her employees like dirt and the pay is close to nothing hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Zero rating for Rani Beaty salon and spa in mineola. Ny. The owner of the place Rani herself was there with a so called masseuse. Made me lie down for a facials while Rani was busy answering phones and catering to the customers outside while the masseuse was busy texting and answering her personal phone with my eyes closed with the so called mask. It was a total waste of time. The only thing I learnt was how Good Rani is at cheating customers. I spent an hour long facial just lying down on the table waiting and waiting and waiting and while I was leaving she gave me an used jar of cream as compliment. Will never go back there. I would advise my friends not to go there too. It is a waste of money and time.

I used to live in Mineola and I would always use Rani for my eyebrows. I always make sure to go the days that Sarita is working. I literally won’t let anyone else do my eyebrows, unless I’m completely desperate. I’ve been to the one in Mineola, and the one in New Hyde Park and refuse to go there anymore as one literally almost cut my whole eyebrow off. I now live in New Hyde Park, and I still travel all the way to Westbury to have Sarita do my eyebrows. She is fast, on point, and makes the whole process very painless. I even bring my boyfriend here to get his eyebrows done as well, as he hates getting them done, he most definitely loves it here! If you want your eyebrows done right, how you asked, definitely make sure to ask for Sarita!

I always go here, I had a facial done, Sarita did a great job. I had so much black heads, Sarita removed all of them without any scar, such a professional work. Many times I had facial done before but the salon gives me tough time for blackheads removal and they leave so much scar, so I stopped. After a long time, Sarita was. able to do it for me. She always does a wonderful job with my eyebrows and facial threading. Thanks

They do a decent job but their credit card machine is never working. And there’s never anyone there. And the lights are never on. Very shady

I’d give it a zero if I could. I went there a few months back and an elderly woman did my eyebrows. She was sweet and did a great job. I’ve been there twice since. Once Sarita did them. She made one thinner than the other. Nothing a slight grow out couldn’t fix. Today was AWFUL. I got there and the woman was outside on her cell phone. In front of me, she lets out a very exasperated sigh, «I have a customer so hurry up.» She finished her conversation. I should have left then. I now have two very different eyebrows… and one is way higher than the other. I’m furious. Furthermore, their credit card machine is «broken.» It was«broken» one month ago, too. There is not a single sign in the place that says cash only. This woman was so rude. I have NEVER received such an attitude from someone. I didn’t have cash. Not a dime. Luckily I had a friend with me who did. Still, this is poor business practice. Awful service. Shady employee. If you hate your job, quit. If you cabt afford to, then suck it up and do it right!

Poor customer service, long wait time and technician had no clue about any of the services offered. I went in for henna application to my hair, technician didn’t know the ingredients going into the henna mixture, had no idea how to use the dryer and adjust the hight, and got the hair color over my face and ears. Again, very poor manners and customer service. Also, do not buy groupons for this place. As I was waiting I couldn’t help notice how poor customers were treated with groupons also. Do not recommend this salon.

I get my hair henna’d here every 5 – 6 weeks. The color really lasts for a long time, esp since they put me under the dryer for two hours lol. My hair is noticeably shiny and healthy looking afterwards. And its all natural too! I just got my nails done here today for the first time by Lina and she does a really good job. Jessie was great with henna hair. Highly recommend! Revision 6÷22÷13: I would only go here for henna for hair. The only reason why I posted the above review in the first place was cause the ladies that helped me that time were really nice and accommodating. And they thrusted an iPad in front of me and made me post a good review on Unilocal. It would be awkward if I posted a sub-par review while they were looking over my shoulder. Now for my honest review. Before I used to specifically request this lady, Phyllis, to do henna for my hair and she did a wonderful job. I wouldn’t let anyone else do it. But after she left, the service here is meh. You want to get your hair henna’d and have it last 5 weeks? Come here and get your hair henna’d and sit under the dryer for 2 hours. But don’t expect the hair stylist to even be able to blow dry your hair properly. There have been countless occasions where I ended up styling my hair myself cause I don’t like how they do it. That includes today. And they have raised the price of henna hair from 20 to 30 bucks. I should have bargained down the price since I ended up doing some of the work myself. I think I will next time. Oh, and the lady that was at the register was busy talking in Hindi(?) on the only phone line there, which would interrupt the credit card machine. I had to clear my throat loudly and say«excuse me» while waving my credit card around so that she could ring me up. Jesus. I got crap service and now I have to wait for her to finish her delightful conversation to pay for said service? Oh yeah, I waited an hour after my scheduled appointment for the stylist since her bus was delayed. I would choose to go to another place, but I found that there aren’t too many places near me that do henna for hair. If anyone else has any better suggestions for henna, please let me know.

Best Rani’s out of all of them! I’ve been threading my eyebrows here for years after quite a few questionable experiences around queens and long island, and i’ve never been happier! They always do a great job. Waxing experience is pretty great too– quick and they get it all.

I would give ZERO stars for customer service if I could! I called last week to inquire: IF they do pedicures, what are prices, will they be open on Friday November 23rd(Black Friday), and what are their hours. A woman with a VERY thick accent told me: YES, they do pedicures, a basic pedi is $ 18, Yes, they’ll be open on BF, and they open at 9am. So, I pay someone to watch my 4yo, and off I go, 21 miles from my home. I received a gift card from SpaWish, and I called several places on their website… Rani was the CLOSEST that did pedicures(per the woman on the phone!). I got there at 9am. The sign on their door said their hours are from 10:30am to whatever(didn’t pay attention to their closing time). Upset about the time inconsistency, but determined to enjoy my child-free morning, I went across the street to the mall and killed 90 minutes. At 10:30, still no one there! At 10:45, a young woman arrived and unlocked the door. When I inquired about the pedicure, she said they don’t do them there! WHAT? But wait, it gets better… The woman then says«We have an employee who doesn’t speak English well. You might have spoken with her. She probably didn’t understand what you were asking.» Really? Because when you answer a business phone, you should be able to communicate with any potential customer on the phone, accurately… MYENTIREMORNINGWAS A WASTE! Thanks for NOTHING!

AVOID for waxing servicing. They double dip; technician uses the same stick for entire process; the room is filthy — wax left exposed and in the corner of the room. The tech also doesn’t even bother to cool the wax before roughly applying it to your skin AND she leaves a ton of stray hairs.(I had the full leg wax.) I’ve been here for eyebrow threading, and would go back, but even still the other locations have more skilled threaders. Not worth it.
