Pleasant Holidays helped us put together a more than pleasant trip to Kauai! It was great to get a live, knowledgeable human on the other end of the phone who could help shop for the lowest airfare, knew the Poipu area well enough to explain the pluses and minuses of the different condos we were considering, and book the rental car too. There’s a lot to be said for one stop shopping and good customer service. The only annoyance was that you pay a deposit, and then the final payment is due 6 weeks before departure — but they will NOT send you an email to remind you of this… weird. And not good. Otherwise no complaints!

D and I booked our GG(Girls Getaway) to the Bahamas with Pleasant Holidays. She was flying from CA and me from AZ, so we could not figure out how to book it online. So we called the 800 number! The wait was a little long but once we got someone on the line she was awesome!!! It took 30 mins to get all the information(hotel, flights to and from CA/AZ to Bahamas, transportation, passport, etc.). The confirmations were sent to our emails while we were on the phone. We check the information, made a few corrections, and new conformations were sent. We are booked and ready to go! The GG trip went without a hitch! Bonus: We got a private car to and from the Bahama airport(Land Rover, I think). It was nice, kinda felt like a VIP. ;)

I have traveled with Pleasant Holidays many times to Hawaii and they always have the best deals. Earlier this year, I got a deal for $ 299 for an airfare and hotel package! I just booked another vacation to Hawaii in November and got airline tickets and hotel for $ 399! And it was the Sheraton not a dump. I checked the same dates just for airfare alone and it was $ 481! I’ll always check their website first before I ever buy a ticket to Hawaii.

I’ll admit my rating is specific to my situation. If my travel went as planned, I woulda given 4 – 5 stars. However, it didn’t so I’m just really bitter. Pros: Very cheap deals at nice hotels. Just make sure you check up regularly and thoroughly to find the best on on the site. Cons: IF you think there is a chance of changes to your plan, make sure you do buy the protection plan. Cuz I didn’t. I honestly thought my group’s plans were solid. But of course, people’s canlendars change last minute. Here’s what happened: 2 people in my group had to cancel. This is about 30 days prior to our travel date(so «45 days within travel date»). Per their site, they will charge me $ 150 cancellation fee per passanger plus any additional fees through the airline or hotel. Vague i know. But naïve me thought I would get about half of our money back. How stupid of me to think that. In all, I only got back $ 100 out of almost $ 750. The lesson I learned. Always make sure your plans are solid when you buy discounted package deals. They’re so much harder to change afterwards… AND there are multiple feels(through the airlines, hotel AND travel agency you go through). If you’re unsure, pay the extra $$ for protection plans to assure you get your money back.
