Two stories of crafts… whattt This place is huge, but really organized. The building and feel for the place overall felt old to me though. But I guess that attracts the older generation to come. Tons and tons of crafts, if you need something for a project I’m sure you could find it here. I personally didn’t get anything this time around but would definitely return :)

TONSOFFUNSTUFF at very good prices You name about any craft or hobby, and nearly everything you might need is probably here. I purchase Swarovski crystals, artificial flowers and plants, oil paints, canvases, and other art supplies. A number of things I have to order through internet sources, so it’s great having some of what I want right here to see it firsthand. **** even if not a crafter or the next new up-and-coming famous artiste, you still might find something for your decorating side — baskets, holiday decorations, vases, pots, candles and candle holders, ribbons, bridal and shower supplies, and other decorative items for your home or apartment. *** Check out their membership card. There is a charge, but it’s minimal. If you find that you’ll be purchasing more than the casual, infrequent customer, you may end up saving a fair amount of money.

This place is like crack for craftsmasters, scrapbookers, and kitsch-lovers alike. I’m not sure if I’m any of those, but I still liked it because when I walked in it smelled like the holidays.(It was the Yankee Candle company display case.) I was so overwhelmed just looking through the first floor. And there’s more upstairs? I don’t think I can handle that! I sometimes get depressed looking through a place like this, because I know I will never have the time and/or creative inclination to ever make good use of the wondrous goodies they sell here.(Flashback to the late’80s where I went into a craft store, bought a whole bunch of stuff I promised to make stuff with, and then never used.) It kinda makes me feel like a less interesting person that I can’t think of a single thing to do with all this stuff. Oh well, everyone has their weaknesses.

I like the prices at this store. You end up buying a handful of items in your shopping bag. I also like the scrapbooking class. This is a good place to shop at if you are looking for some scrap book and art supply materials.

Pat Catan’s has so much going on in the arts and crafts department. We all know that. But one thing that I love about this location is the framing center. The manager is super helpful and an artist so he see’s the best way to frame or mount your work. The staff in the department are all helpful but he stood out as a helpful employee when I go in to get my photos framed professionally. ALSO they have museum glass which is glass that you can’t see. FABULOUS. Professional, high quality and great turnaround time Pat Catan’s framing department at this location is worth the haul for even me, an Eastsider.
