The Westland branch is not really efficient as some others. They have a number system and a worker comes out and reviews all the people sitting and waiting for their number to be called. She then tells some people to stand in an «express» line and wait to be called by one particular worker. I think we would be better served if she just waited on customers rather than circulate through them and tell them where to go. It’s confusing and a waste of time. The only improvements I’ve seen are the online and lobby machine that keeps you out of the Secretary of State. They also have a surcharge on these services to facilitate the use of a credit card. I’ve seen better. Two starts and I’ll be back when I have to…

I had to get tabs, change my voter registration, and change my address. To make things worse, somewhere along the way I didn’t get the renewal(I think the new owners of my house threw it out). So I laid all my woes on Miss Di, the stately lady with the silver pixie cut at the Westland Secretary of State, and she helped me figure out how to make it better. In less than thirty minutes, all was taken care of and I was on my way. This branch is tucked away in a strip mall so it doesn’t get as much traffic as I’ve seen at the end of the month and is sooo much better than the Van Horn SOS Downriver. Thanks, Miss Di for a job well done!
