Tay Ho used to be the restaurant that I myself and family stop by every time we are in town, foods are okay — service were so so. But recently last Sunday we been at Tay Ho for lunch and this time I was so disappointed the table in which been assigned to seat was so nasty(dirty and oily) the towel that service personnel used to clean the table looks to me that never been washed in soap or what so ever… We have to use the napkins that they gave us to re-cleaned again and again, then after that we ask for another napkins and everyone just ignored our requested. We hurried finish the meals to get out get to the cashier counter the gentlemen with me as the Manager or Owner of Tay Ho showing with a grumpy face…(WHAT’S WRONGWITHALLOFTHESETHINGGUYS, CUSTOMERSCAMEARENOTASKINGFORTHEFREEFOODSOKAY — CUSTOMERSARETHEONEWHOPAIDFORYOURBUSINESS) Beside never come back I also informed to the Health Department.

Banh Con Tay Ho is known for their banh cuon so I figured their banh cuon thit nuong would also be yummy but sadly it wasn’t. The meat on the inside was very dry and lacked the appropriate flavor, the banh cuon dac viet was nothing special, and just bland. However! their bun rieu was full of flavor and hit the spot for me. And I’m a huge fan of bun rieu so I know a good bowl of it when I eat it. As for service, well, you all should already know how a vietnamese restaurant operates. I would come back for some bun rieu but probably nothing else.

**MEHMEHMEH** The headliner should sum it up for you. PARKING ======== Lots — we parked across the street with 2 hour limit. AMBIANCE ========= Small and cozy, a bit on the divey side. Fast and efficient service. FOOD ===== BANHCUONDACBIET (Combination Flour Sheet with Shrimp Tempura Special) Did not taste like these were fresh off the steam cloth. It tasted like it was«heated up». Flour quality not sticky. The meats weren’t flavorful. Nuoc mam was very good. RATING: 3⁄5 BEVERAGE ========= LYCHEEBOBA My gawd, I thought my teeth were going to fall out due to the high sugar and fructose syrup content. It’s like pouring Pop Rocks into your mouth with a splash of tonic. RATING: 2⁄5 OVERALL ======== The McD’s of banh cuon. I pass. NOTRECOMMEND.

I will never trust my aunt with restaurants again. She took me here since I was craving banh cuon. She told me It was a go to place. I’m was visiting from GA. I don’t bother with price and portion size when it comes to Vietnamese dishes. I look for quality. I ordered the dish that had everything in it. Banh cuon: okay Cha lua: like plastic, idk where these people buy it or what they put in it Veggies: plentiful Fried Dough: hard as a rock I won’t be coming back.

The portion size for to go orders are small. For the Banh Cuon, you get 5 – 6 mini rolls which contain a thin, thin layer of filling only…90% roll w/10% meat. The shrimp cake is ultra oily and you can’t even see/taste/feel that there’s shrimp in there.

Anytime I’m in the Westminster area visiting my extended family, I make it a point to stop by here. It’s located right next to the Asian Garden Mall(Phuc loc tho). I’ll split an order of the Banh Cuon DB Tay Ho and order myself mi tom cua tay ho. The restaurant isn’t the cleanest and is on the small side, but I never had to wait long for a table.

Foods good for what it is. Small place. Cash only. It’s my go to place whenever like I feel like eating banh cuon. It’s cheap and it’s good and it’s comfort food.

Ugh this place has gone downhill. I remember many moons ago this was the place to go if you wanted some good banh cuon. The waiting list would be insane, but the food would make it worth it. This is my 2nd time here in the past year and I was disappointed both times. For starters, there was no wait, and we were only 1 of 2 other patrons in there — that should’ve given us a clue. We ordered the banh cuon dac biet which comes with a mish mosh with a little bit of everything. Our food came out after about 2 minutes and once you push the gio(ground pork cakes) and veggies to the side, you will find that only half of your plate is filled with banh cuon and the other half is all veggies. Total disappointment. We won’t be coming back and now have to find a new place to satisfy our banh cuon cravings when we’re visiting. Oh, I also wasn’t too thrilled about their tv choice they had on — import model girls flaunting their boobs in front of cars — which we joked about because all you could see was a hub cap, but definitely could see the girls boobs and butts. The workers were more enthralled with that than serving us.

The restaurant is located next to the Asian Garden Mall, and I come here often with my parents. So for them and people of their generation, they like this restaurant. For me, I’m more critical. What I loved about the restaurant was the food. Their menu is vast and dish I had so far was great. Plating and presentation was good too, which is rare for Vietnamese restaurants. Unfortunately, what I didn’t like about the restaurant was that the space was very small. I believe there were only 8 tables in the restaurant. The service wasn’t that good either. The server was a young man who looked miserable as if he hated his job. My 3 P’s: — Palate: 4⁄5 — Plating: 4⁄5 — Presentation 4⁄5

As a young Vietnamese American boy growing up in little Saigon. We were often corrupted by american fast food restaurants. Villains with names like Jack in the box, Carls Jr, and Mcdonalds often ruled a ten year’s world. One of the heroes that stood up to these evil corporate artery clogging monsters was BANHCUONTAYHO. BCTH has been around for as long as I can remember, and is one of my favorite things eating growing up. Every Viet kid loves the sweet potato fritter! Banh Cuon in Vietnam is usually a breakfast item, so its very light and easy to eat. The steam rice rolls are filled with grounded pork and wood ear mushrooms. Topped off with bean sprouts, shredded cucumbers, and drowned in an ocean of delicious house fish sauce! Still until this day I must have my fix at least a couple times a month. Recommendation: banh cuon nhan thit, add extra $ 1 Cha Lua

Located next to the Asian Garden Mall, this place is a small pop up shop specializing in Viet Rice Rolls Food — I can see why they specialize in the rice rolls, these are good rolls, living up to their Unilocal reviews. But what really makes it good in my opinion is the sauce you put on top. Its addicting and you can pour as much as you need on top. If it wasnt for the sauce I dont think these rolls would be as good. To my surprise, their spicy beef noodle soup wasnt actually as bad as some other ones Ive tasted, even though they dont specialize in it. Not bad. Service — slow service by a young waiter who looks like he hates his job. Once he brings out your food he will never check on you ever again. Will not refill your water cup unless you ask. All in all, i expected some mediocre food but was surprised with what I got.

Great place, the food is awesome! I haven’t had Vietnamese rice rolls in forever. The service is quick and they serve in a large amount. The price is worth it, not too pricey. Fills you up. I would go hear again.

Been coming here ever since I was a little kid. I’ve notice some changes since I’ve been here last. The place a little bit cleaner and the portion size is smaller. I remember they would serve your food on a bigger plate, but now it is served on a medium-small sized plate. I assume this occurred because they didn’t raise the prices on their menu items so they have to cut back a little bit on costs? I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and to my surprise, it wasn’t very busy at all. Usually when I come here, the place is packed with people waiting in line. The banh cuon here is a lot more tasty than the other banh cuon tay ho #4 a few blocks down the street. The sweet potato fritters are also better, and this place has my favorite banh xeo which cannot be beat by their sister company. Their banh xeo is the crispiest banh xeo I have ever had which makes it all the more better. I’m not into that soggy banh xeo and this place makes it crispy like a potato chip, but once doused in fish sauce, it retains its body instead of breaking on itself. Has always been my favorite banh cuon/banh xeo restaurant, and still remains my favorite

Made the wrong turn at Little Saigon into a random narrow parking lot and came across a tiny hole-in-the-wall Banh Cuon place featuring ten or so different rice roll plates. The one I got, Banh Cuon Nhan Thit, comes with Vietnamese ham, rice roll filled with ground pork and mushroom, over a bed of beansprouts and julienned cucumber, and a crunchy sweet potato shrimp tempura fritter on top(this is brilliant!). I’m so very stuffed and my belly’s happy. $ 6.50 a plate. Washed down with a cold glass of Rau Ma(penny leaf juice) $ 2.50, no idea what it is but anything«Rau»(veggie/herb) is cool with me and this juice tasted kinda like wheatgrass juice, slightly sweetened. Btw, cash only and there are only two designated spots in the tiny parking lot for Tay Ho customers.

The food was ok, I was hungry from driving around and I’d chow down anything. But I couldn’t eat the white slices of meat??? Not sure what it is but tasteless and rubbery.

This place is quite yummy. Great value. It’s a style of Vietnamese that I had never had before coming here, which means that it’s harder for me to judge it’s quality. Despite this, I’d say it’s quality stuff. Definitely enjoyed my food and was with two friends that highly recommended the place. Definitely plan to return when I’m in the area.

Best banh cuon!!! Very affordable $ 6-$ 7. You can call in and they will pack everything and have it ready. The dish is freshly made and complete with deep fried yams and shrimp, pork and wood ear mushroom filling or no filling in the banh cuon, pork roll slices, blanched bean sprouts with cilantro and cucumber and deep fried shallots. Their fish sauce is sweet and flavorful. Satay chili oil upon request. Customer service was friendly and fast. Cash only. Be prepared. Small shop next to the Asian garden mall. Look for their business sign on the street.

This is a great spot for Banh Cuon. If you get the dac biet it also comes loaded with the shrimp fritter, and fish cake slices, & fried mong bean bread. It’s a lot of food, so share it or if you’re really hungry it will keep you full! I can never finish a whole one by myself, so that’s where hubs comes in — the clean up batter ;-) We usually order ahead since this parking lot is small & the Restaurant seems a bit sketchy. The guy that mans the counter creeps me out a bit, but I’m taking my food to go so no worries haha.

The food is pretty solid & cheap. #1 Banh Cuon is $ 7.50 and comes w/deep fried sweet potato + shrimp, assorted cold meats, another deep fried brown fish ball, and small wraps of rice paper w/shrimp. It’s pretty much a plate of finger foods but it hits the spot and it’s not overly complicated. The inside is quite small and seats maybe 15 – 20 people. You’ll be in and out of the place in 25 mins tops. Solid food, cheap prices, quick service. 4 stars.
