The food is OK at best, and the delivery service takes FOREVER and they NEVER fail to screw up the order. Oh, how I wish more placed delivered to my office. If that was the case, I’d never patronize this place again.

My family recently went to 5280 for dinner, including my 24 year old daughter who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. Never mind the filthy table and floor where we were sat, I overheard the waitstaff discussing my daughter and continuously referring to her as «retarded.» They laughed at her uncontrolled movements and seemed to find her condition very amusing. This is not the kind of place I would ever want to support with my patronage so we all got up and left before ever ordering. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to be treated with respect and not be ridiculed for having a disability when dining out. Good riddance.

Fantastic pizzas! Service was fantastic! Came in on Trivia night, and had a really great time. Won a gift certificate, and a free drink! Came back for dueling pianos, and had a great time. Request music, $ 4 mugs of craft beer after 10pm, and more. Definitely will be back many many times!

The pizza here is amazing! On Friday and Saturday nights they have a dueling piano show — you should come here! The service is great too!

I was charged more than what the order was shown to cost on the internet. Emailed receipt shows SubTotal: $ 23.75, Tax: $ 2.05 = Your Total: $ 29.06 Clerk refused to consider there was a mistake and simply said«well this receipt shows this amount. Much to hard to look at the prices and calculate the cost manually in her head. Clerk didn’t seem to care when told they lost a customer for $ 3.00, no effort to investigate or make things right. Won’t be back. Update: Owner called me in response to email and facebook review within 24 hours. He acknowledged the mistake and was upset with his staff. He gave me a credit and pledged to have a word with his staff. I appreciate that and I’m good with that. Given this I will go back after all.

I was staying in a nearby motel and ordered delivery. Upon arriving the cinnabombs desert was delivered with no icing and none of the extras I ordered. The drivers response, «I don’t have any» and then he left. I give delivery ONE chance, I do not typically call to bring their errors to their attention nor should I need to. The pizza was okay but not something I would order again. The plain cinnabombs had very little cinnamon and they were swimming in butter, yuck. October 2015

The first time we visited we were impressed. The pizza was a bit expensive, but we got to watch them make it and it was tasty. Only down side is the almonds on the Maui wowed we’re very unexpected(even though it says on the menu) and too many. However, the last time we went the service was really non existent and the pizza only half cooked. O e side was good, the other was doughy. A meatball grinder was ordered to go and went directly in the trash. The chips we’re visibly burnt. Really freaking brown. Nasty. The outside of the grinder was black and I figured I could just skip around that and eat the inside… it wasn’t cooked at all! How the he’ll was is doughy and Nasty on the inside but burnt on the outside? And if it is visibly burnt, why send it out? Gross. I loved this place bit will not return after being asked to enjoy gross food followed by probable stomach upset and time on the toilet. No thanks.

Nutshell review: The food was decent, the service could have been a little more attentive and prompt, and the sound system could have been better but overall, we had a good time! We came in because of a Groupon deal. We wouldn’t have known about it otherwise. We are fans of dueling piano bars and have been to one in Austin that we love. The food offering was very generous. The server started out pleasant and enthusiastic but after we placed our order, seemed overwhelmed and exhausted(I think being understaffed might have contributed to it, rather than our order). First, we were served drinks and an order of wings. We ordered the hot and spicy wings, which were fantastic. Then came the pizza — it was fresh with generous toppings, which we devoured. The way the dessert was described, it sounded amazingly decadent but the portion was underwhelmingly small to be shared between two and it lacked all the flavors we were expecting(cream cheese and coconut). It was more like a beignet with ice-cream on top but with the dough they used, it was not crispy but tough when you try to cut down on it. We ordered a second dessert which was similar but drizzled with strawberry and caramel instead. The dough was tough and they forgot the ice-cream on top, but later came on the side. It was more like a dessert pizza than an actual dessert, it was hard to eat and was messy. The entertainment was a blast but the sound system was very hard to hear. The audio was over-amplified so you could not tell what the artists were saying most of the time. If you knew the song, you could sing along but it wasn’t because you could hear them very well. As far as the performance went, they did a good job and everyone appeared to have a good time. As expected, a little raunchy, but appropriate for adult audiences.

Terrible wait time. 1 hour to get a pizza? We sat for 40 minutes and asked where our pizza was, and she said it was coming. 8 pizzas came out and still not ours. Then the cook actually had to come and ask us what we were waiting on. Then 20 minutes later, a pizza arrives and the waitress bills me for someone’s else’s tab? Garbage service. Even after recognizing that they were giving us terrible service they did nothing. Quite honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Can I please give a zero star rating?

It’s hard for me too write this review. Their pizza is really good. But their service was seriously lacking. I guess they have dueling pianos on Friday and Saturday night that starts around 8:30. We arrived about 7 and most of the resturant while almost completely empty was reserved for the dueling pianos. We had to sit in the bar and the service was not very good. A lot of waiting for our water to be refilled and then she only refilled one. We used to go to the old double dd’s and the service was always great. We won’t be back on a Friday or Saturday but maybe we’ll give them another chance during the week.

We went here last night with a Groupon. Service was good. I would say my pizza was just okay but I was sharing with my husband so I compromised on the crust — I’m normally a thin crust person myself but we got the sourdough. If I was just rating the entertainment I would have given a higher rating. I was a little leery of the whole dueling piano thing. I was worried they would be playing a bunch of show tunes but they were great. We will definitely go back for the entertainment– maybe just for drinks though.

I have read all of these reviews and really don’t understand the negativity. Half the complaints are about long delivery times. I live in Denver and when I am home order a copious amounts of pizza from a variety of restaurants including but not limited to Pugde Bros, Joyce’s Famous Pizza, Pasquini’s, Sexy Pizza, etc. In 18 months not one pizza shop other than Dominoes has gotten a pizza to my door in less than 90 minutes. Clearly slow delivery time is just a fact of life in the Denver area so deal with it. The other big complaint is the price. The price is roughly on pair with Pugde Bros for the exact same size pizza but taste substantially better. Price is comparable to places such as Pasquini’s and Sexy Pizza as well, the pies may be a little smaller than those places but are much more unique. I have never had a problem with Double Ds in multiple visits. The staff has always been quick and attentive requardless how busy the place is. Food has always been quick, cooked to order and quite tasty. I plan to continue frequenting.

Wholey expensive batman! 1 pepperoni pizza, 1 beer, 1 soda and 2 kids drinks 48 dollars? Wtf! Never going there again. Bad pizza that cost WAY to much. Bad service, 1 waiter 10 tables ment we waited for everything to the point I left with the kids and left my wife to pay. Never going here again, I would advise you ship this place.

So I loved Double D’s… Have for years — they’re a bit pricey for pizza… but their pizzas are great. Throw dueling pianos and local craft beer in the mix and I’m a bigger fan! Love the new bigger space, love the live music — the musicians are crazy talented & know a ton of songs — they really get a crowd going… It’s a super loud cavernous space, hard to hear your party(even before the music starts) the restaurant has been packed the times that we’ve been here– not a great place for dinner conversation if it’s busy. Great music and fun specials. They only have live music on Fridays and Saturday night from 8:30– midnight… It’s a great night out with friends. Weird family vibe though… We’ve been here late(after 10pm) and there are large groups of families with young children. Kids these days. Staying out partying it up with their ‘rents! While I love their pizzas, I’m not a huge fan of their pasta — or their garlic knot thingies.(they are a touch too oily for my taste) wish they had better pasta offerings I had the truffle Mac and cheese and it was too salty and clumpy… I’ll stick to what I know, pizza beer– and live music, how can you go wrong? Way to go Double D’s I’m a fan for life !

Food quality was good. Staff was very nice. Local beer on tap was a nice bonus. I appreciate some of the previous reviews, especialy around price. Ordering one of their named pizzas is how you get to 40+ with a a calzone. 14″ pepperoni was $ 18. A specialty pizza can be $ 28. So, a good place for pizza and beer, especially at happy hour.

We try to buy from local places and this place had a good rating so we tried it. It did not disappoint! We got two different pizzas, both were pretty good. The crust was really good, the pizza unfortunately did not have that much sauce, I like at least a little sauce. The service was really good, and the people were super nice. Both times I bought from here we got it to go, but the interior of the restaurant was really nice and clean, they also have a dueling piano and live music, so I will try to make it back for that one day. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is the price, it’s a bit pricey. One time we went it was $ 25 for a pizza and bomb the other it’s was $ 40 for a pizza for the adults, 1 for the kids and bombs. We will be going there again.

Lived in this neighborhood for about six months now and I finally stopped in to have some double d’s pizza. Truly enjoyed the dueling pianos. Such a treat to have something so much fun so close to home. So many speciality pizzas on the menu which is awesome. I indulged on the delicious chicken zucchini pizza. The flavors Pop from the first bite in. The crust is to die for and I will be coming back ASAP. It is very helpful that my gym is right next door lol. Service was great and can’t go wrong with a cold beer.

I’m from the Bay Area where sourdough is a majorly loved food item. We have sourdough everything and I cannot complain. I was psyched to see that there was a pizza spot that made their dough form sourdough. I was disappointed when I tasted the dough and it lacked the sourdough crunch and flavor. The dough was was rather plain and unmemorable for me. I tried the Wowee Maui with«authentic sauce,» mozzarella, cream cheese, coconut, canadian bacon, sliced almond and pineapples. This was very unique from your average pineapple and ham Hawaiian pizza because of the added almonds and coconuts. I am not sure if almonds are anything that is specifically Hawaiian and I am not sure how the Canadian bacon fits into the theme, but nevertheless, I thought it sounded amazing. My expectations were a bit higher than the actual product. The coconut made the pizza too sweet and the cream cheese chunks were too large and randomly dispersed on the pizza. The almonds were raw the crust, like I said, was not the best sourdough. I also tried their Garlic Bomb bread bites which were enjoyable but no better than the bread bites that you get at pizza chains. They were served with marinara sauce and they were definitely drenched in garlic and oil.

Since my favorite restaurant down the road is closed on Mondays I decided to stop in. The craft beer list they have on tap is impressive and quite extensive. I came in early afternoon and was the only one on the restaurant but this place seems to be screaming with potential. They have dueling pianos on Friday and Saturday nights which always makes for a good time. The bartender said it has been hit and miss for busy but since they have only been open for 6 weeks that can be expected. I got the garlic balls which were awesome! I also ordered an Ellie’s Brown ale which never disappoints. I will definitely be back, great food, über friendly staff, great beer selection. I would give this place a 5 star but I need to come back for the dueling pianos before I get all willy nilly.
