I got the strawberry banana smoothie(small $ 4.50, large 4.70) and it’s very tasty! The boba is indeed hard and really chewy which I dislike but it doesn’t taste bad. my little sister got the milk tea and she loves it, rates it out of 10⁄10. it was around $ 3.25? she said its kind of strong as well.

This place is awful. I reread that statement and it sounds harsh but damn, it’s true. It’s a mixture of not only mediocre drinks, but horrible staff that just makes me so unhappy when I see this place. I’ve been here twice before(once for the first time, the second time hoping to give this place another chance) and was disappointed both times. Drinks: First of all, the menu is so freaking hard to read. You have a bunch of drink names with pictures but no where does it tell what the frickity frack is actually in the drink. Also there’s no basic menu even though they sell the basic staple drinks… I really didn’t understand that. Cool you have a drink called«Love at First Sight» but what the heck is in it?! How am I supposed to tell from just a picture?! Anyways, after I try to maneuver my way around this unreadable menu, I ordered a peach tea with boba, hoping that they have it. The drink itself was syrupy, way too sugary. The boba was hard and gross. Meh all around, just meh. Staff: The service is what just throws me over the edge on this place. Both times I’ve been here, the girl who was working was chatting it up with her friends(her behind the counter, her friends blocking the line). The girl hands them drinks left and right and then after like five minutes of me attempting to get her attention, takes my order halfheartedly. Grabs the cash and lets me find my way to a seat. She keeps on talking to her friends. I carefully watch her as she’s making the drink and she is just all over the place. Honestly, I looked in the thing they keep the boba and it’s no surprise why the boba doesn’t taste fresh, blech. Luckily there wasn’t a line in front of me because I got my drink in about ten minutes(still hella long) after she was done chatting it up with her friends. By the way, you’re in a Vietnamese plaza. I would hope you could assume I am also Vietnamese and can understand what you’re saying… so hella rude, hella slow, hella MEH. Location: Convenient if you’re in Asian Garden Mall already but I’d try my luck at Lees Sandwiches drinks before going to this place. Parking is terrible also. All in all, will not be back. That girl needs to find a new job because she clearly doesn’t like this one. Also, have a menu that people can actually use… and stop overflowing your drinks with the powder, blech. Five thumbs down.

details. . Got thirsty while walking around the mall, so I got myself a durian smoothie. prOs. . The smoothie was tasty, but not the best I’ve had. The boba was ok. cOns. . Cash only. . Their drinks have cute names like«Love at First Sight» or something like that, but no details as to what the drink is made of. . All of the«fancy» drinks just seem very loaded down with sugar.

Not the best place to get drinks here. I ordered differnet varieties of Milk Teas with boba everytime I come here but didn’t taste anything except the boba. Will not recommend coming here.

Great avocado shake with boba! Avocado flavor is very present unlike some other places that lack flavor and are super bland. I like the fact that they make it thick, too, not watery or runny! I want to try their other flavors like taro coconut, avocado green bean, durian red bean! All weird combos that I am wiling to try! haha I also want to try their special che! I will certainly return here when I’m in the area, which is quite frequently! haha I would’ve gotten more to try but I was so full from lunch! Great alternative to Tebo!

No so bad, I had the classic Thai tea. It was sweeter than normal, but didn’t mind it. Some people that I were with also ordered the Milk tea, also kind of on the sweet side.

I’ve tried other fruit drink spots including the more popular TeaBo, but Happy Bee’s menu is different enough to make this a favorite spot for me. Some drinks are better than others. I’ve tried their Taro, Peppermint and Honeydew smoothies. All are good but bit too sweet for my taste. I recently tried their Jasmine milk tea and it’s becoming my personal favorite since it’s only slightly sweet… very yummy! I looked for a similar drink at TeaBo and no luck.

The service that my family and I received today was absolutely unbelievable. We ordered three drinks in total; one being a coffee drink and the other two being smoothies. We were the first to order, but one of the last to receive our drinks! Actually the employees put our ticket inside of the finished stack although they did not make our drink yet. If we did not notify them, then we would not have receives our drinks in the first place. This was not a wait time of five minutes or else it would have been sustainable, but close to thirty minutes. The quality of the drinks are okay, but a bit too sweet for us. We appreciate that they use fresh ingredients as they claim to have been using though.

Hot day so we got taro smoothie and mango/berry shave ice to quench our thirst. They actually use real fruits in the drinks. I would say average quality sweet drinks. Long wait for our drinks, looks understaffed too so it is understandable. Parking is hard to find during busy weekend.

Drinks: The first time I tried this place I ordered the Oreo shake and, holy cow, it was so dang sweet. Oreo itself is pretty sweet but honestly I think they dumped a whole cup of sugar before they served it to me. I didn’t even drink halfway before tossing it. I took note to not order anything else from this place because of the not-so-great first impression. Couple weeks went by and I decided to give this place another try so I ordered a basic thai tea with boba and let me tell you, it was painful to drink. The texture of the drink felt thick(probably excess powder) and the thai tea was overwhelming. The boba wasn’t any good either and overall the drink seemed«cheap» to me. Service: The employees working here were OK, they weren’t overly friendly nor super rude. Environment: Since this place is located in a food court, there are plenty of seats available. But be cautious before you sit, some of the tables are disgusting because some people don’t know how to clean up after themselves. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place but I’m not discouraging anyone who wants to try this place out. But TBH, there are so many great places around this area that are definitely better in my opinion.

Was in the Asian Garden mall and wanted a drink, saw this place and thought I’d give it a try. I got the iced taro milk tea and it was mediocre. I’ve had a lot better for the price. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great, the drink itself was too thick and tasted gritty, as if it was a powder based taro milk tea. Along with being too thick, it was too sweet. The mixture is pre-made therefore they were unable to reduce the sweetness for me. It tasted like cold watered down scented condensed milk for the most part.

I was introduced here by a friend a few years back when I lived in the area and I’ve been going back everytime I’m around ever since. To be fair, I generally order the same drink every time I go: basil seed drink with rainbow jelly and a dash of passion fruit syrup. The bonus is that this place is really close to where I stay, probably less than a mile away. It’s also located in the Asian Mall, however, so parking can sometimes be a pain in the butt. Nonetheless, I think is is one of the few places that actually have a decent basil seed drink and I find it pretty refreshing on the warmer days in sunny socal. Next time you’re in the area, I’d recommend you give it a try if you’re looking for something different from your typical boba drink. You might find it’ll be one of your new regulars! :)

Located in Asian Garden Mall they have a very large selection of teas, smoothies, chè, and even shakes. You can add boba or jellies to about anything. I had a thai tea with boba. Not exceptional or terrible about it. The kids had a chocolate banana shake to split, which is like a little more like a chocolate smoothie than a chocolate milk shake. It was actually pretty good.

Frequent this place whenever I visit AGM and I usually grab just black milk tea with boba. They have never done me wrong but as my palette has began to change and I’ve tried more and more milk tea of higher quality, I have faced the realization that their drinks, or milk tea anyways, are way too sweet to the point where the ‘tea’ aspect of the drink is almost completely missing. If you want to try something here you should go for the«Fun Drinks», which are great if you’re a milkshake enthusiast. Wait time is an expectable amount, they don’t add too much ice, and their popcorn chicken isn’t too shabby either.

The amount of smithies, teas, ices and fruit concoctions is truly astonishing. On a hot day there ice cold smoothies hit the spot. I was a little confused by a poster showing 10 different kind of «love drinks» ranging from«first kiss» to «sad love» so I asked my boyfriend to read me the vietnamese witch ended up just being the names translated. So I forgone the love section for a watermelon and lychee smoothie! This was the best fruit smoothie I’ve had in a long time. My boyfriend got a sour sop smoothie witch was amazing it tasted like vietnamese yogurt!

**Short and Sweet!!** **Mango Blueberry Shaved Ice!!** Located in Phuoc Loc Tho mall in Lil Saigon. I was dying of thirst after being outside where the Flower Festival was at being in the hot sun getting burnt and I didn’t bring any sunblock. It’s the middle of January for christ sake. It’s usually pretty chilly! So anyway, I came inside and seen this place, looked at the menu, and they have pictures! Yay for picture menus! Not sure what I wanted but I spotted shaved ice with blueberries and mangoes?! Why the heck not! It was refreshing. Even other people kept asking me what it was. They put chunks of fruits and jellies in the shaved ice in a cup. Yum Yum. Only thing no bueno about it is that they need to get a better shaved ice machine. The ice is not fine at all. I had a difficult time eating my shaved ice because the ice was too chunky to bite and eat with my fruits and jellies. I won’t be getting that again but it did the job of quenching my thirst. I may come back to try their fresh fruit smoothies and juices if I’m ever in the mall again. ~**kenzie**~

I truly enjoy the diversity of drinks Happy Bee offers. Whenever I am in the Asian Mall(where I get my haircut from Karen’s Express) I always head over here for a delightful and tasty beverage(lychee slush). The helpers are very nice and make the drink in the manner you request. I always enjoy my slush. It could be said that Happy Bee Fruit Paradise is like honey from a bee – sweet and delicious!

I have mixed reviews about this place. The drinks are overly sweet because they add too much sugar. Knowing this, I had a papaya drink blended with skim milk and absolutely no added sugar. I noticed they also add a big scoop of cream even though it was not necessary. The only reason why this place merits 2 stars is because they actually use real fruits that has been previously frozen. The flavors from the fruits were lacking and I’m guessing because they weren’t ripe enough before they cut and freeze them. There is only one size to these blended drinks, so we paid for two large ones but we got one small and one large. It was so apparent and they realized they messed up, but still didn’t switch the drinks. We left our drinks and just frustrated with the whole ordering process. When places cannot customize their sugar level or use skim milk instead of processed condensed milk, I guess even with real fruits, it’s not worth it.

Being inside Asian Garden Mall, Happy Bee actually has decent quality and prices for their drinks. I have to say that I am very impressed by the establishment and am so glad that they are so close by. What I love most about Happy Bee is that it is not too Asian — despite being in the most Asian spot/area it can possibly get. What do I mean by this? The smoothies actually taste like smoothies! If there’s on thing I hate most, it is ordering a smoothie and out comes slushy. I want to be able to taste my fruits and have it go down my throat SMOOTHLY! Don’t give me that icy junk. With that said, I have tried all three of their coladas: strawberry colada, mango colada, and piña colada. —delicious. The boba itself is actually perfect to taste and texture. I left my drink inside the fridge for a little over 45 minutes and they boba were still soft and very chewy. There is something I would like to point out… While waiting for my drink, I noticed a bag of taro powder… It’s sad to say that I now know they use powder for a lot of their drinks… but hey. if it tastes fresh to me, then that is good enough… Right? Well. I’ll just stay away from the taro for now… But I am one happy bee after visiting this place. =)
