THIS REVIEW IS FOR JULIE — a sweetheart! She listens to what you tell her and does what you want, not what she thinks looks good. I’ve been seeing her for 8 years– as long as she’s been at POSE and have never had a bad experience. Being a ex-​hairstylist myself, she even color corrected one of my mistakes last minute! She’s turned my dark brown hair into a shaved silver-​white shaved pixie cut and everything in between. Any crazy, wild, or color you have in mind, she can do it. Love her!

I’ve been going to Pose for well over a year now, and Julie Thuy has always been my stylist. This girl knows how to cut men’s hair! I’ve always asked for suggestions on different cuts and what would work best for me, and I’ve always been satisfied with her work. Julie has always been very accommodating with my schedule, even though I’m always so last minute.
If you’re looking for a great haircut, ask for Julie Thuy. I’ve also seen her style/​dye women’s hair too, and they look fantastic.

The only reason I am giving this place a four star is probably because of the parking, the location is in a over-​crowded strip mall. Parking can be a bit crazy at times, but I think its worth it if you go to Julie. I started going here base on a recommendation by my friend, and I am very happy with results. Julie’s work has been amazing, I can speak for my hair and my friend. She really takes the time to find out what you want exactly and she charges you a very reasonable price. I think especially because I have long thick hair and other salons would really rack up the price. She will give you her honest thoughts on and what she thinks would be good and cost effective, but she never will push a service that you don’t want. I have done color and highlights and cut with her and I have been pleased with the results every time. I can say Julie really makes the time for her clients, even on her days off she comes through if you really need her. I would recommend her to my friends and family, her work definitely deserves 5 stars.

I used to come here many, many years ago in high school but then stopped because I wasn’t satisfied with the haircuts I was getting. Fifteen years later, that all seemed to change. I was dying for a hair cut since the last one I got from a salon I never went to left me hating my new hair. Plus I had split ends like crazy and needed to chop off the last 3 inches of my hair. I ended up coming here again since it was Sunday and it was open and I desperately wanted a haircut after being on a trip for a week.
What I like about here is that you don’t need to book an appointment to get a good haircut. I requested Tina on a Sunday and waited 30 minutes before she finished with another client.
I told her I wanted long layers, to cut of the last 3 inches of my hair that was dry and dull, and wanted to grow out my side bangs that I hated. Well, she worked her magic and I am now happy with my new haircut! She ended up giving me short layers since I wanted volume in my hair. It ended up looking good, and I’m VERY happy with my haircut. It’s not awkward like the previous one, and she not only made my hair look healthier again, but fixed the bangs, so it didn’t look stupid anymore. I even got 2 compliments on my haircut already. All for $ 25 excluding tip. Not bad, I say! So once again, I’ll probably make this salon part of my regular rotation for if/​when I need a haircut. Thanks for fixing my hair, Tina! I’ve never been this happy with a haircut in a long time!

Plenty parking in large strip mall. Salon is colorfully decorated and employees seem nice. Made an appt. with Julie who updated my A line bob, stacked in the back. Looked nice. Next time, I will bring a photo for a edgier cut as I had wanted to keep my long strands in the front, but the look got dampened with my cut. However, the haircut was still well done. Wash, cut, blow dry/​flat iron in less than 1 hour for $ 25 + tip. Good deal. I will be back.

I been going to tiffany (ngoc) since she work at the old hair salon shop. But what she did on me was very disappointing, i asked her if she knew how to do ombré and she said yes; so i trust her word but turn out she do not know how to do onbre at all!!! The ombré did not blend in at alll!!! I could of done this myself at home instead of spending my $ 130…i show her a picture of what i wanted and it was no where near it so i had to spend more money to go to someone else and fixed this «fuck up» hair. If she didn’t know how to do it then she should of just tell me instead of being greedy just to «get my money»…one lesson i learned is never go to her again… waste of money and my time driving out there.

Tiffany is the best! I love the way she layers my hair and doesn’t cut it so short. I always go to her whenever I need a cut. Highly recommended!

Ask for Tina if you come here. I’ve been getting my haircut by her for 3 years and she has never disappointed me. She always talks and tries to understand customers’ desire. That’s why she would give you exactly what you want. If she doesn’t think it would suit you, she would recommend you with something better. Anyway, never go wrong with TINA!!!

I moved here a year ago and had the hardest time finding a hair stylist who is talented at color and cutting hair! I was recommended by a friend to try Pose. Julie used to cut my hair in a gorgeous A line but since I now have long hair, I asked her to ombré it blonde. I’m soo ecstatic how it came out and even though I went somewhere else to dye my hair, she showed me how someone only dyed the crown part of my head so it looked ombré! I was charged a lot at the other place and the process took an hour. It faded in 3 days to…
Julie was honest and showed me with the mirror what my hair looked like from the previous stylist. She spent 3 hours on my hair which is the norm for ombré and did a Fantastic job! I was given a good price as well. She’s great, I’m not going anywhere else!

I’ve been going to Pose Hair Design since I was a teenager growing out of my angsty phase and my long, emo hair. Time and time again this place definitely does not disappoint me.
Located in the heart of Bolsa, you may have a hard time squeezing into a parking space or even getting a spot with your favorite salonist due to the high popularity of this place. I recommend coming early in the morning (around 10am) on a weekday if you want a speedy haircut. Also, note when your salonist is available because their shifts may change!
All in all, if you are a simple guy like me who enjoys a nice trim, check out Tina near the back. She is the go to salonist that I trust with my life. She’s sweet, loves to talk, and is very sensitive to your demands.
Even though I don’t live in the OC anymore, I make the time to go to Pose whenever I am in town. With the low prices and the free shampoo wash, who wouldn’t love this place?

I’ve been coming here to have Thai cut my hair and he does a fantastic job each time! Loves how he flat irons my hair first before giving me my new do. My hair always looks so sleek, healthy and fabulous!
Today, I took my soon to be 15 year old daughter for a cut & color and Tina did an awesome job! My daughter and I love her new look! The purple ombré color looks amazing!
Next week, I’ll be having my hair colored by Julie. I hear she does great ombré color too! Cant wait for my new look! Will update my post as soon as my color is done :)

A few months ago Tina did an amazing ombré job on me. Today I went in to get a lighter hair color. I have pretty difficult hair, since it’s all dark and virgin hair. Tina did a great job in transforming my darkbrown — blonde ombré into a gorgeous ash blonde & grey. Love it love it love it!!! Tina is the best

I have really thin hair and not a lot of salon would highlight my hair. Tina (Tuyen) is such a professional at Color and Highlights. I love her work and how she give me advice on how to take care of my hair. Highly recommend her.

**Tina is the BEST! She was sweet, friendly, and an expert stylist. She knew exactly how I wanted my hair even though it was my first time here. She explained what looks good on me based on my face shape.
**I am so happy with my new haircut. Long layers with side bangs. She kept the length/​thinned out the ends to give my hair more depth. I love it!

This review is for the amazing most talented hair dresser that have ever cut and styled my hair in years JULIE THUY !!!
I walked by the salon one day, looking through the glass front door I saw her done with a lady with long hair and my reaction was «woohhaaa»…I gotta come back here!
Finally, I had a chance and walked in without an appointment coz I was in the complex. My luck, JULIE was available! Right away, she welcomed me and seated me in her station, asked what I would like done today, I said ’ please cut the ends, I would like to keep the length, but it’s so dry and thick” .She said ok let’s wash your hair, which by the way, was very relaxing and done properly. Back to her station, the magic began… with every strand cut and trimmed, I felt how even it it’s and light… I have thick hair, it was a piece of cake for her! Washed, cut, dried and styled within the hour! I was never this happy and satisfied with a hair cut in years!!! I was jumping up and down loving how my hair felt, so light and flowey ! The cherry on top is the price… Wow…JULIE, you are an artist, I will never let anyone else do my hair… so beautiful and friendly, confident and talented… hats off to you

I come and go here since high school. I left them for awhile and recently decided to give them a try. I thought I found some one to cut my hair «Ivan». He does exactly what I want but sadly I might have to leave him and go find some one new. The last incident I had with him made me a little upset. I came in for a cut and a ombré. He quoted me for $ 120, I was like that is a great deal. I told him that I wanted my ends to be really light. I even showed him a picture of a ombré I wanted. Ivan told me not to worry the ends will be light. Well it wasn’t, I went home and showed my friends and they told me that the ends needed to be lighter because it didn’t look like a ombré. So I decided to call him the same day and told him that I wanted to go back in so he could highlights a few more strands at the end. Ivan told me that it will be another $ 20 because he didn’t realized how hard it is to do a ombré on me and that he under charged me, I was like WTF??? He worked on my hair before and he should know that I have lots of hair. You should thought about the price before you blurb it out to me.
Lack of customer service «Never tell a customer that you under charge them and that it will be more next time when is your stupid mistake in the first place».

I’ve been here at least 3 times. Had my hair done by at least 3 different people. Although Kevin is gone (and I know he was the person I wanted to do my hair) I decided to try another new person to do it. Janice! She’s so sweet. Talks about the weirdest things (ghost stories), but I love her. She’s so friendly. She would do anything to avoid having my hair cut short. And that’s what I was looking for. I came inside the salon as a blonde, and came out as a brunette with medium cut hair.

I asked for a trim and left was about 7 in off and thinned out to the point I had to cry. Kenny told me «why would you come unless you wanted something different «. Ummmm lets see, I asked for a trim not for you to go razor crazy. My hair was passed my bra line and now because the cut is so bad, I have no choice but to cut it to my shoulders. I think the most important thing is to listen to your customers which you obviously did not do. I literally had tears in my eyes that day and needless to say, I’m still crying today.
