Theresa Thanh N Nguyen, MD

MD Theresa Thanh Nguyen & MD Thai Nguyen are great MD, I was really satisfied with these Dr and ALL the STAFFS worked there. They were very nicely and friendly as medical profession.
They were good care, understand of their the patients status, well listen and support such as a psych therapist. Especially Chi Kim, her voice was very gentle, even on the phone or when she leaved me a message sound very sweet and polite.
They solve appointment, questions, or any laps order pretty quickly and accurately right patient.
Being a MD, a medical service are tough, because they are not only treatment physical illness but also treatment mental illness or supporting them too.
I’m so happy when she has her new office…

I am a new patient of Dr. Theresa Tran and she’s great. I had a horrible PCP before and per recommendations of family and friends decided to switch over to Dr. Theresa Tran. My first time with her was good! I can see why some people stated that she appeared «cold or uncaring» but I don’t actually think that is her intention, it’s just more of a quirk. She is responsive to my medical needs and tries to accommodate to my requests. She speaks both English and Vietnamese which is great.
The only negative thing is that when you need to get something like an x-​ray or an ultrasound you need to be referred out and make an appt at another facility. But that is ultimately normal, I guess.
The rest of the staff are friendly and professional. Waiting time isn’t too bad. There are a lot of walk-​ins and patients get seen at a first come first serve basis (even if you have an appointment).

Dr Thai is a knowledgeable and caring doctor. However Dr Thanh seems to be cold and does not care for her patients. My mom was there for annual pap smear exam. After waiting for 1 hr to see the doctor, all my mom heard was that it is not necessary to do pap smear if my mom doesn’t have any symptoms. My mom tried to convince the doctor that she needs the procedure because her insurance will termed soon. Test result was positive. If my mom listened to Dr Thanh_​Theressa, she will never know what’s going on with her health. God bless those caring and not caring doctors. We may come back there but not for Dr Thanh– Theresa.

I have been going here since I moved to California in 1998. I have never had an issue here. Love the fact that they open up from 9 – 12 on a Saturday! That’s right you read correctly they are open on Saturdays. Although the only catch is it is first come first serve and no appointments, so you better get there early if you want some face time with the Doctor.
Also a great thing is that they have a bloodwork lab right there in the office so whenever you need bloodwork they don’t have to send you somewhere else. So convenient. And a plus is the professional that does the bloodwork (I never remember to catch her name) remembers me each. On todays visit I hadn’t done bloodwork in over a year and she remembered me right away. That really surprised me. She remembered that it was hard to find my vein and that I HATE needles.
Rather impressed!
Dr. Theresa Thanh Nguyen has always been so kind and professional towards me on each and every visit. She makes you feel as so at ease. I highly recommended this Physician.

The Most Interesting Mother in the World needed a referral. Her old PCP insisted on referring us to a doctor within the same practice at Bolsa Medical Group. After doing research on him I said no thanks. They refused to work with us for an out-​of-​group but in-​network referral.
Because of that we switched PCPs which took a lot of research. After awhile I came across Dr. Nguyen. I liked that she graduated from UCSD Medical School about 20 years ago and speaks both Vietnamese and English. I talked to the receptionist first and found that she was very helpful. Decided to switch her PCP to Dr Theresa Nguyen.
It was urgent so we did a walk-​in visit whereby she understood the problem completely and we had our approval for the referral the next business day. The Most Interesting Mother in the World was so impressed with Dr. Nguyen that she wanted the entire family switched to her for our primary care needs.
