Grew up here eating their eggplant Parm subs that my mom got, turkey sandwiches etc. for the last 10+ years after moving away, every time I come home dad and I split a Dagwood and an aristocratic. So good. Lots of meat, good veggies, very friendly staff.

Awful place. Every time i drove by it i thought god had done me wrong because it was still open. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

One of the only classics left in Westport. Best deli and prepared food place in Fairfield county. Balducci’s and Garelick&Herbs cannot compete with the quality of the food, kindness and knowledge of the staff, and price. They know food, they know how to treat people, and even when the line is very long it moves much faster than three people in line at one of the other aforementioned places.

I love old Italian delis. I love finding a good chicken parm for my fiancé because he loves it. I haven’t succeeded in this… still. I can throw a chicken cutlet, some cheap store brand shredded cheese and bottled sauce on a regular grinder myself and if I really want to ruin it and turn it into mush, I can nuke it for way too long. This is exactly what this place did to the chicken parm grinder.(though I can’t say sauce was bottled) Granted, it was big and looked great and it actually was edible. But that’s not saying all that much

Driving by… thought it would be a good stop for lunch. Ordered small eggplant parmigiana to go. Very disappointed. Eggplant not cooked enough… sandwich was impossible to eat. No napkins in bag… Roll was soaked with whatever the eggplant was in… certainly not tomato sauce… Just an overall disappointment.

Good food and decent prices! Their sandwiches are great. The meatball parm and BEC are my favorites.

This place is authentic. Their food is excellent and their selection is tremendous. They get busy at lunch and they try to be as efficient as possible. They work hard in there. I love this place. This is the real deal.

As a vegetarian, it can be challenging to find a good deli spot. Fortuna’s is my favorite and a must anytime I am in or near Westport. Not only do they offer a great sandwich but the hot bar is out of control. I am obsessed with the eggplant parm. Finished with a piece of banana bread from their bakery section, I am one happy camper. Not only is Fortuna’s a deli, it is a market and it has everything. The place is run by a family and has a very genuine feel to it. I love going in not just for the food but for the outstanding service. This is a staple in Westport. If the locals love it, you know it’s worth the trip :)

Love this place. I go there almost daily as I work in Westport and there is plenty of stuff to get for breakfast and lunch that you never get sick of ordering the same thing. Any egg and cheese sandwich(steak is the bomb) for breakfast is great and their chicken is awesome. Try a chicken cutlet grinder with cheese bacon and hot sauce. So good.

I really do like this place. It’s great for lunch… only problem– the lack in consistency. There is one girl working there that makes everything perfect… unfortunately none of the men working can make my orders properly. Something is always missing… if I ask for a wheat wrap I get spinach… it makes me nuts. Otherwise, if I could ALWAYS get this girl to make my food I’d give the deli 5 stars for sure.

I have been here about a dozen times for breakfast. Quick and fast breakfast sandwiches – typical breakfast fare. I liked the storefront and the seating area which makes it a better upgrade than your typical deli. Alright, I will not be going there again. I have never encountered an obnoxiously rude store employee ever until this morning. I made a simple two eggs with sausage request to one of the cooks. After a minute or so another person asked if I had ordered anything and I said yes. That person went to check on my order and came back saying my order wasn’t taken. I mentioned I had told one of the cooks of my order. Then out of nowhere another cook came out and basically belittled me in front of two customers and the other two employees asking what my order was, and why I won’t tell him what I had ordered. After the stern command I told him forget about it and left with my butter roll. Needless to say, I will not be coming back and will go to the other two delis on that road.

We get Fortunas for catering once a week, and all I can say is its God-awful. The chicken parm is a bunch of fatty, oil, store bought sauce with mediocre meat, and not much of it. How anyone can actually eat this is beyond me. It may be the person from my company that orders it, but I literally get sick from looking at a tray of their chicken parm. I want to throw up and not eat from a week by only smelling it. It is by far the worst chicken parm I have ever had from a deli.

If I wrote this review 10 years ago, 5 stars, but something has changed since the glory days when I could eat there every day. That being said, their $ 1.99 bacon egg and cheese in the morning and their chicken parm has won me over for life. Great place, great food, great selection.

Great breakfast sandwiches — my favorite is the egg, cheese & sausage on a Portuguese roll. A «Down to Earth Deli» in Westport… refreshing.

Fortunas is THE best Italian deli around. their sandwiches are Primo, and their deliciously red sauce entrees are satisfying in that down home, feel good kinda way. Bring you appetite and leave your attitude at home and be delighted.

Always love and never disappointed. Great sandwiches and hot entrees. As delis go between 4 – 5 stars so I’m giving the local benefit of doubt!

Whenever I’m craving a filling and tasty deli sandwich I come here. Partly because it’s down the street from my job and Gold’s is out of my way and partly because I just can’t get enough of this place. The staff is so quick even though they’re making your sandwich from scratch and they are super friendly. There is one lady who always helps me and she’s great. Sometimes there’s a line but it moves quickly and the minimal time you have to wait is the last thing from your mind when you’re eating your delicious sandwich. I’ve tried their wraps, they are huge they really stuff them! The specialty Italian sandwiches are good as are the typical deli meat ones(I love the roast beef!). Also, the hot sandwiches are great as well, probably one of the best Reubens I’ve had. I could go on and on about this place. Definitely check this place out you won’t be disappointed and neither will your stomach!

Very solid, tummy pleasing, cheesy, hot(or cold), comforting Italian take out. What’s not to like? Chicken parm grinder: tender, crunchy nice portion of chicken cutlet(not pre frozen), home made tomato sauce, buttery, melty mozzarella, fresh toasted grinder roll, eggplant pram too, meatballs, & all kinds of combos hot or cold listed on the huge board behind the deli, grab a beverage & some chips for an easy in & out! Great staff & always a pleasant experience. Very reasonable prices for honest solid tasty food. Private lot.

BEST Deli in Westport. And Fairfield for that matter. They’re only open until 4PM which is fine. Because you only want to go here for breakfast or lunch. Their food is EXCELLENT. It’s a little fattening, but damn… their chicken parm is TODIEFOR. They have a huge assortment of sandwiches which you can order off the back menus on the wall. They’ve got GREAT dinner platters to take home as well as amazing lunch specials. So much food for a very reasonable price. It’s been family owned and operated for years and the people that work there are salt-of-the-earth — seriously. Don’t mess with them, and they won’t mess with you. And parents: Leave your kids in the car. The way this joint works is, easy in /easy out. You walk in, go through the line, grab a beverage, choose your food, order your food, wait for your food, then pay and leave. They have limited seating, and limited space — so mind your P’s & Q’s and get out when you’re done! You’ll be enjoying your food soon enough! GONOW.
