Salad Bar is the best !!! Very convenient to get something if you are in a hurry. Those staff are efficient !

Someone told me to get a Small Salad there, I said yes is on my way no problem, when I start to get salad, others customer was around me, the smell and presentation of the entire place cachet my attention, I decide to get my lunch as well there. I ask for a Steak & Cheese sub, and the must I was impressive is I got it like the way I order it. I’ll be the more often for lunch and fruits.

In the area and it never disappoints. Great selection of groceries, Produce etc as well. I have subtracted two stars due to my encounter today with I think the manager. He was so incredibly RUDE to his employees and I was disgusted. He ordered two of them around like animals in front of all the customers. I would really like to continue coming here but please get some respect for your hired help. They’re the reason that Lambert’s is an excellent establishment.

Wow — what a salad bar! With the selection that is seemingly endless, and fruits and vegetables so fresh and so beautifully presented, it is almost a shame to disturb them with a serving spoon. If you like salad bars as much as I do, this is the place!

My boyfriend and I stopped in for deli sandwiches. We passed many other places where we could’ve eaten, but he likes the one in Dorchester. The kid making the sandwiches must’ve been high or something. I asked for an Italian sub. He asked me if I wanted cheese. I said yes please. He said American? I said «It’s an Italian sub. I think those are made w/​Provolone.» My boyfriend asked for pepper jack cheese on his sandwich. We saw him slice it. When we got out to the car to eat I noticed he didn’t put any cheese on my sub. I went back in (in the rain) He said he would make me another one. I said «I don’t need a whole new sandwich, I just want cheese on this one.» He kept saying he’d make a new one. I’m like «No. I just want cheese on this one.» For crying out loud! When I got back out to the car I found out he didn’t put the cheese on my boyfriend’s sandwich either. We saw him slice it! WTF? He didn’t want to complain. When I mentioned to someone about the whole thing they were like «He was probably stoned.»

I am so glad a woman I work with recommended I go here!
There is a Stop and Shop less than a mile from my house but their produce is always a gamble; we’ve gone home straight from the store to find out the produce we just bought is so old it goes from the store directly to the trash and we have to make a new plan for dinner.
Lamberts was far beyond what I could have hoped for. The produce was fresh and there were so many varieties of vegetables to chose from.
And the prices were amazing as well!
I will definitely be making this a regular stop on my commute home!

Great salad bar and both their deli and hot food are excellent. I had an Italian Sandwich which was excellent. I have also had their Steak Sandwich, great, and their burrito bowl, think Chipotle, a couple of times. Very cool store/​take out place. They have a number of picnic table out front which makes it easy to eat there.

This is a great place to grab a quick bite during lunch. The prices are decent. They have a salad bar as well as a grill side with your various grilled type of food/​subs. Only con about this place is that it gets packed during lunch time so I recommend coming a few minutes early before the rush hour!

We exited off from the highway to look for a Burger King. Traffic was backed up saw this little gem and flipped a u turn. Am I glad I did!!!
We were starving and the size of the sandwich was enough for lunch and dinner later!!! Plenty of boars head meat and cheese and the bread was sooooo good!!!
My daughter had a burrito bowl which was good.
The counter help were so friendly and helpful!!!
I will definitely be back on purpose not as a accidental stop.

My favorite salad bar. Wonderful lettuce, avocado, beans, cheese, chicken. There is also a mini fruit salad. If you dare to get a sandwich –well it really is lunch and dinner.

It’s about 5 minutes from my work so when I get the chance I’ll stop in for lunch. They got a pretty big salad bar, which altho I haven’t tried yet I did browse at their selection, and everything looked plenty fresh.
I usually get a sandwich which they make right in front of you and they stuff as much meat as they can into the bread you picked out. Also they got a burrito section, which again, they stuff as much as they can into the tortilla or a bowl, if you prefer. They also got a selection of calzones and soups you can pick, all fresh and tasty.
Prices usually stay within the $ 5 – 8 range which for the amount of food they give you is a deal.

I don’t understand why people are saying that the staff at Lamberts is so unfriendly. I went here yesterday for the first time and don’t think I will ever return to a Shaws/​Stop and Shop again! The cashiers were so friendly and we joked around as they were ringing up my stuff. The man who made my boyfriend’s burrito was friendly as well, and the burrito tasted 100X better than what you can get at Chipotle or Qdoba.
The salad bar is impressive– the fruit was so fresh and the watermelon was perfectly sweet and ripe for the summer. They have a decent amount of groceries; you can buy your typical milk, eggs, fruits, veggies, chips here instead of at the regular supermarket. You can tell that the fruits and veggies are fresh.
I’ll definitely be back and be doing my grocery shopping here from now on!

I don’t understand why everyone that works here is an asshole. I don’t use that word lightly. I’ve shopped here about a half a dozen times and each time I have had a different checkout person, and each one of those checkout people have been downright assholes. Rude, abrasive, aloof, hurried and smug.
Additionally, their self-​proclaimed «World’s Best Salad Bar» is a crusty display akin to a Stop & Shop salad bar and deli counter combo. If soggy pasta salad with a film of aged mayo gets your juices flowing, then come on by!
I have squeezed out three stars for the sheer convenience of stopping here on my way home for a bottle of wine or a head of lettuce.

Quite rough around the edges, salty and blue collar, without a hello or an excuse me, Lambert’s says I’m not gruff enough to wait the lengthy line. But it’s absolutely worth the experience.

This place is fantastic! I went there to pick up sandwiches for myself and some friends and was very happy with what I got.
It was my first time so I wasn’t familiar with the protocol (Pick out your roll, hand it to them, and just start rattling off things you want on the sandwich). The guy helping me was very patient, and it was cool that they slice their meats to order. They have an enormous selection of meats, cheeses, and other toppings.
The two cold subs and the meatball parm I got were all good, and very competitively priced. I can definitely see myself coming back to this place regularly.

I miss you, my old friend. I used to work around the corner from this place and it was a regular stop for lunch. Amazing salad bar at a great per pound price. Once in a while they tried to sneak in some not-​quite-​ripe avocado but I always forgave them. On any given day they had 10 soups to choose from. An excellent deli counter w/​made to order sandwiches. The market side was great as well, I’d often do my produce shopping here at lunch time, even though it meant lugging the bags into my office during warm weather, to store them in the fridge. Price & quality made it well worth the effort.

Terrible sub. They throw the sub together with no effort and all the meat is on one side. This place used to be great for sandwiches however it is sad to say it is no longer the case. The top of the bread was broken and they also shrank their sandwhich sizis. I am really disapointed and hope they change their greedy, lazy ways.

1) Walk inside 2) make a right, get on line 3) pick up a tray 4) load that mother up with the salad of your wildest dreams 5) fill a cup of dressing 6) afix the lid 7) walk to the cashier 8) pay 9) walk your ass outside and enjoy the shit out of that bomb ass salad you just made yourself 10) repeat about 3 times a week
So they have other stuff asside from the massive salad bar but I haven’t even bothered. Yay dope ass salad bar!!!

Lambert’s boasts they have the world’s best salad bar, and you know what I agree!
Nice little place down the street from one of my offices. They also have a fantastic Deli that you can preorder from online, as well as a club for when you buy 12 sandwiches you get one free.
The outside is very dated, but the inside in well stocked and tidy.
