I stood in the freezing cold waiting for somebody to go to the take out window for about 10 minutes then, another person comes. After five minutes I then go inside for five minutes and the waitresses were talking to the customers that I guess were their friends. Then I go back into my car and start to leave and the person was still waiting outside in the freezing cold. I was sitting in the car looking at the waitresses and the customer. Some of the waitress were doing nothing, some were dancing, and WORSEOFALL… THEYLITERALLYTURNEDAROUNDANDSAWTHEMANBUTIGNOREDHIMANYWAY… I couldn’t take it anymore so I drove away. Went there on a Friday morning around 8:30 a.m., two customers seated and eating, waitress was nowhere to be found for close to five minutes which feels like eternity where you’re just standing there looking around waiting for someone to notice you. The waitress appears, saying«oh I didn’t see ya» fine… The first table we sat at was dirty; sticky with dried soda on the booth seats. We moved ourselves to a clean table because the waitress had disappeared on the walk to our table. Several minutes later she returns to ask if we are ready to order,(I guess we were supposed to order our drinks and meal at the same time) The food was good, hot, accurate, and served fairly quickly. My friend and I enjoyed our breakfast. Less than satisfied with the waitress because she never came back to check on us, she didn’t fill our coffees or ask how the meals were. She only came back to drop off the check after waving at her and gesturing for the bill. This was not«a bad day» or an «off morning», I’ve come here a bunch of times and it’s always the same problem with the staff. It’s too bad that the service is so poor because I like friendly’s. It’s close to my house, it’s convenient and I like the food(most of the time!) but in all seriousness if the waitress was more attentive she could have a ton of regulars that come there during the week, especially with the special they have right now, offering 50% off breakfast weekdays.

Worst. Experience. Ever! Went there with my wife, my mother-in-law, a toddler, and an infant for dinner. I had never been to a Friendly’s before. The first thing that made me second guess my choice was the grimy high seat with the broken seat belt. Then the waitress spilt a water over my wife’s lap and the table. At the point we still laughed it off, we ordered our food, my wife fed the infant, and we were looking forward to some ordinary American cuisine. 30 minutes later, my wife was done feeding the infant, the toddler was demanding food, and I asked a waitress for our order. She came back saying that it will be a little while as they were«backed up at the grill». To me, that sounded like«sorry, but we forgot about your order». No one even asked whether we wanted some drinks or anything while we wait. I asked whether the toddler could get his food right away, but from the panic in the eyes of the waitress I could tell that things were not going too well in the kitchen. Every single staff member seemed heavily stressed out. So 10 minutes later, we stood up and left without having eaten a bite. First and last visit to Friendly’s.

Worst service I had ever received. The servers were too busy talking about getting high, and laughing at elderly customers. I’m a really laid back person, but when I’m in a restaurant for almost 2 hours for two burgers and ice cream, that’s an issue. Will never return. ZEROSTARS

Zero stars. One hour and 25 minutes for two grilled cheese sandwiches and two orders of chicken tenders. Had to get dessert to go because the kids(1 and 3) were losing it. Table next to us ordered burgers without mayo, they came with mayo and they sent them back. They came back with the mayo scraped off. Manager named Shelly came over and her excuse was that she was the manager in Hanover and was only there because the Weymouth manager left. She had the nerve to say they«pay less at this location so we get a lower quality of worker.» Really? So, if the cook made more money, she wouldn’t have scraped mayo off a bun? Really? Here’s a tip for next time… Apologize, comp the burger, and shut up. I didn’t stiff our waitress because I felt terrible for her. I told her manager it was shameful of her to say what she said. Workers are a reflection of management no matter how much they make. Our sever was obviously new(she admitted it was her second day) and she was hung out to dry by her manager, who spent the whole time alternating between looking confused and looking angry. Sad to see such a great location go this route. If your manager throws her hands up and blames the workers, where do you go from there? If your kid, brother, sister, husband or wife works there, have them quit. They are to blame for all that goes wrong, according to management.

Worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. My fiancé and I went in for dinner a couple weeks ago and got the worst service ever imagined. We waited for almost 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged– there were only a few diners in the whole restaurant. We both ordered the Mac and Cheese and received chicken broccoli and ziti. When we said this isn’t what we ordered and explained that we were vegetarian the waitress explained that this was exactly what we ordered. The then proceeded to bring the dishes into the kitchen and take out the broccoli and chicken from the dishes and tried to bring them back out. When I confronted her about this she denied it. The chicken broccoli and ziti comes with a sauce with bacon in it, leaving that in our vegetarian dishes. We simply got up and left after being fought with for the fourth time about what we hadn’t ordered. Very poor experience.

This is the worst place. We took a grand kids for breakfast one Sunday and waited an hour while everyone else around us was served. The manager said they ran out of bread, yet everyone around us had toast, go figure. I would never go there again

Came in waited 10 mins at the hostess stand to be talked to. Meanwhile more than 75% of the tables were not even bussed with plates and cups everywhere. Service was poor. Barely even spoken to. Servers walked by mess a million times doing nothing. Going play by play cleaning one table for each group of customers one by one. I will not be returning.

Service was awful. Coffee at $ 2.39 and no offer to refill or choice of sweeteners. Saw the waitress when the food came and never again until she brought my check. I had to go to the back where she sat with the other staff in order to pay.

Went for breakfast and left about an hour later after taking one bite. Brownish looking eggs, orange looking sausage, large, thick pancakes(aren’t pancakes called pancakes because they’re FLAT?), slimy French toast. Even the coffee tasted burnt. Other people left without eating as well. Very disappointed in this particular location.

I came in for dessert for a friend one night, and the service was very slow. Friendly’s ice cream is fantastic, which is the only reason this isn’t a one star.

Tried to give Friendly’s several chances. The food has gone downhill. The burger was burnt and the fries cold. The prices are too high for any family. The Buffalo chicken roll up didn’t have much taste. The waffle fries were to undercooked. Ice cream is still awesome though

I love friendly’s but this one is terrible constantly making you wait 45 minutes for grill cheese and a hot dog? Give me a break go to the one in south Weymouth a lot faster

If you want ice cream, don’t go to this Friendly’s! I ordered a large ice cream cone the other night and when the girl gave it to me I said I ordered a large because I was shocked by the size. She responded with, yes 2 scoops! The 2 scoops were the size of a golf ball, maybe smaller. It took me 3 bites to finish the cone and I felf like I got ripped off! Stay away!

My husband and I decided to try this Friendlys last night because the local Dairy Queen was slammed. We would have been better off waiting at DQ. It looked very busy when we got there until we realized that everyone had already ordered and they were just waiting. The staff was incredibly disorganized and it took 35 minutes to get a 3 scoop hot fudge Sunday and a Jim Dandy to go. It was terrible and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This is our go-to Friendly’s. Living close by and having a toddler, it is a wonderful place to have nearby for special nights or when we just need to get out of the house. The staff is all very kind. Of all the Friendly’s that i’ve been to, this is the one i’ve always received the best service, even with a child! From my experience, it’s always been clean, the food served hot and fresh and the ice cream of expected Friendly’s quality. The only negative I will say is that lately things that used to be automatic now have to be requested. I have to ask for a crayon & coloring mat, ask for the super bendy straw for my son, ask for silverware when our meals come, ask for a longer spoon for my ice cream, ask for the sauce that’s supposed to come with the onion rings, ask for a refill on a drink. I don’t know if these are cost-saving measures but they are noticed. It won’t stop us from going to Friendly’s & we try to «go with the flow» but it does make us have to constantly be aware of what we’re missing before we can finish our meal. But overall– it’s a good staff, decent prices and a good product in an atmosphere where I don’t have to worry about someone being bothered by my child. We hope this Friendly’s sticks around for a long time.

Went here the other night with all the kids because we are sick of the service & issues with the Quincy Friendlys… Got here and the place was kinda empty, which was a good sign it also might have been because it was Thursday — 1.99 Wednesdays the place usually fills up fast… We were seated right away & the people there were at least pleasant when we got there… Our server was great, she was super nice & totally aware that we had kids with us(Like not putting hot things in front of the kids, I hate when people do that) or just taking our order right away to rush all the kids food… You have no idea how great it is when the order comes & the kids are not sitting there freaking out waiting for food… Our food was fast, Good(I order the same thing all the time), used my coupons & we didnt spend tons of $$. Things that make the meal great! Will def go back!
