This place is great. The prices are really crazy low for a lot of good diner quality breakfast food. It’s a sweet little family operation where you can walk right back through the kitchen and see them making their home fries. The omelette was really well made and the pancakes and French toast were awesome. You get three meats(sausage, bacon, and ham) with the specials along with two eggs, toast, and pancakes or French toast. I really like the cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff.

We rarely go out to breakfast, but my craving for unlimited mugs of coffee and buttery toast led us to SunnySide Up this morning. We looked for a greasy spoon en route to Nantasket Beach(where we could walk off the bountiful breakfast) and landed upon this tacky, yet tasty hole-in-the-wall. We got there early to enjoy the bright colored walls and fake flowers before the«rush» of old folks filled all the tables. Family owned and operated(our waitress was also our cook). Quick service, good prices. Eggs Benny prepared anyway you’d like. Coffee and meals served in(on) 1970’s tableware. Banana misspelled twice(two different ways) on the menu. And you need to run to the bathroom 15 minutes after eating. All signs of a worthy breakfast joint… go check it out!

This place was absolutely amazing! The woman who owns it was our server and was very sweet. Being from the NYC metro, I’ve eaten some great food and while on vacation we went there every morning for breakfast. The french toast was excellent. I told her we need one by us! Inexpensive and highly recommended!

The small«kitchen» atmosphere of the store is nice, they have a little TV with the news on usually and some newspapers hanging around. But there is practically no wait staff… I almost feel like I should get up and get my own drink. The food and drink is the same things you get at home in 10 minutes. They pour juice strait from the troppicanna jug(not that there is anything wrong with that really) and the pancakes seem almost like they are from a pre-made pancake mix. If you are lazy and dont like to make breakfast, and dont want to spend alot… this place is where you should go. But if you want some stellar type of breakfast joint… look elsewhere.

I’ve been going to this place for almost 8 years. It used to be run by some old timers and their family. It was great then. But the old man had some health issues and they sold the business to a family from Albania. I gave it a few chances after that and then didn’t go for a looooooong time because the food wasn’t as good and the atmosphere was not as friendly. I started going back on occasions that I was in a hurry and wanted a quick, cheap fix. I went back for the last time in January of 2011. The deciding factor happened on a snow day. After shoveling my driveway I decided this place was easy access(I live in the neighborhood behind it) with the roads being in poor, snowed over conditions. I was the only patron and the male owner was the only employee. This is the first time he ever talked to me and I wish he hadn’t. We were talking about the cold and the snow and he said he has family in Florida and would like to move there some day. He said his only problem with doing that is that there are too many blacks in Florida. When I countered that statement with growing up in a predominantly black area, with a quizzical look, he said, «you don’t mind them living next to you?» I told him that I didn’t mind and then he began generalizing and making fun of the way they wear their pants. Even though I can walk to this place, I’m never going back.
