Little hole in the wall place but the food is pretty decent. I got the fish and chips. It was huge. It tasted good but the breading was too thick for my liking and it seemed my piece was way more cooked than my dining companion. Hers looked lighter and the breading didn’t look as thick. The onion rings were good.

Great food. And come for breakfast on the weekend. They have booze and the food is great.

I ordered a tuna wrap from take out and the sandwich was chicken soaked in mayo. The women who checked me out was probably 17 and was drinking a mix drink when I got there so I should have expected this. Will not be going back

Great neighborhood place. I had a steak and cheese yesterday. It was excellent. Great sandwiches, salads, burgers, calzones.

I wouldn’t even give one star, went there today for lunch. The girl behind the bar cared more about her phone then asking about our stale nachos, we got a burger to share and we ordered it medium. Came out well done. My fiancé ate his half because he was hungry, I’m pregnant and didn’t eat my half. She never asked about either of our plates. Went to give us our check and still nothing, my burger not touched in front of me. I had to tell her why I didn’t eat it for her only response was to roll her eyes and tell Me she’ll let the kitchen know. Didn’t do anything for us. Second time going in with her and poor service both times. Was going to ask for her name but figured it was pointless to only get eyes rolled at me again. I’m extremely upset with this experience

Went here for lunch today. First time eating there. No bartender, like for 10 minutes. To the point where one of the guys sitting at the bar told us it was self serve with a laugh. «Days of our lives» was on the TV. This is painful. Hen the bartender did arrive she changed the channel and got us a pitcher of beer, it was a great cold pitcher of beer and the glasses were cold. I asked what her favorite thing in the menu was and she literally had no answer. I decide in the pastrami«specialty sandwich». While it may have not been the weakest pastrami sandwich I have ever ate, it was in the bottom of the barrel. There was 4 slices of meat on the sandwich. And no cheese. Bread dominated my lunch. It was not impressive. At least the onion rings were good.

The employees are always friendly. The steak and cheese sub is the absolute best around. The restaurant is always very clean. It is located almost near the foot of the Fore River Bridge on the North Weymouth side on your right as you are traveling in the direction of Hingham.

Just visited The Mooring for the first time because it was a close place with a great rating on Unilocal that had a Reuben(and my mom was craving one)! I wasn’t very hungry so I opted to just try their fried pickles, which I try every place they have them, and they were AMAZING! Most restaurants serve you less than ten pickles, or about five if they’re spears, and this was a huge basket of fried pickle chips! They came out quickly, were well-seasoned, and had a great dipping sauce with just enough heat! They were fresh and only $ 6. The Reuben was hot and fresh with a huge piece of corned beef. My mom said it was the best Reuben she’s even had! The fries were perfect for steak fry lovers and crunchy fry lovers alike. They were thick, so you still got a nice potato taste but the outside was perfectly crisp. The staff was so nice and and I can’t wait to go back again and try more of their food!

Can’t even explain how amazing this place is. Best customer service. I get take out often. I’ve never dined in. I should though. $ 2 coors lite drafts? Yum! I usually get the chef salad which is so big and full of so many meats it’s almost too much to handle! I’ve tried so many things on the menu because every time I’m never failed by how delicious it is. And 5 stars for how it’s packaged, I hate getting home from picking up take out from somewhere and my food is spilled all over the place, but never with this place!!! Tonight I order the grilled chicken dinner with salad and peppers and onions as my sides. The man taking my order, who is always so sweet, and friendly said i think you would really enjoy the seasoning in the chicken and how juicy it was. He was correct. It’s unbelievable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and great service. Try the broccoli bites!!! Thanks mooring :) –taila

Gotta tell ya, this place rules. John, the owner, is from a sub shop in Braintree that was ELITE.(It has since become a bottom third sub shop in town) He has not missed a step in his relocation. Steak tips are on point. Unreal pizza. Fresh Boars Head cold cuts. The drinks are incredibly reasonably priced and served up by an awesome sassy bartender named Courtney that is adorable and personable. Great place, great employees, great food.

Having just moved roughly 3 minutes away from this establishment my boyfriend and I decided to try their delivery. We have now ordered from here at least 5 times and not once have we been disappointed. My suggestion — don’t go plain. The cheese pizza was just alright. The BBQ chicken pizza and wrap were both amazing(special ingredient hint hint BACON). The pastrami is unreal! Had it both on a sub and a roll — you can lose on this one people. Good service, friendly staff, and speedy delivery.

The food is pretty good with a decent selection. I enjoy the pizza and the nachos are really good. The beer selection is decent but certainly not extensive. I love the staff and the crowds though. A lot of good conversation with many folks here. The Mooring is my new go to for a quick drink and a bite. Also Redzone on Sundays for Football.

THISISUNDERNEWMANAGMENT! We tried this when it was a different name, we didn’t realize it had changed names. We decided to try it again. We were definitely surprised. My Dad got the Reuben, he loves them and orders them everywhere. He said it was one of the best Reuben’s he had had. My mom doesn’t even like Reuben’s and can’t wait to go back so she can order one for herself. Everything else we ordered was also fabulous. They have trivia nights and sounds like they have a lot of activities. Definitely try this place if you haven’t since they changed names!

This is a restaurant with a social conscience that serves good and affordable food. The macaroni and cheese is amazing as is their side dish of sautéed spinach and garlic. The steak tips are outstanding. Service has always been friendly and welcoming. Owner tries to keep costs affordable. We recently tried their thin crust pizza at a fundraiser for The Weymouth Food Pantry and it was excellent. Restaurant owner has a heart and always does what he can for the local community. We recommend this restaurant.

Met here for lunch with a few friends a few weeks ago. The food was great. We were just hanging out for a few hours and the waitress was very nice in asking for soda/water refills when needed. I got a reuben sandwich — without changing anything from the menu listing — I loved it.

Interesting place with potential but they need to work on the kitchen. The interior is typical«comfortable dive bar» with strategically placed TVs so you can watch a game as you eat. They serve their food on plates that are very nice suggesting at least as some point someone has some ambition to step up the food service. However when you order something(an I mean pretty much anything) there is little attempt at working on presentation. Service is friendly and efficient. With a bit of work on the food this could be a terrific little spot.

So I went back for the pizza like I said I would and it was good! The pepperoni seemed spicier than usual, which is good. The dining room was packed and everyone seemed to enjoying everything. Maybe I caught them on a bad day the last time. I look forward to trying other menu items soon.

OMG salad! That’s their Oh My Goat cheese salad. Oh my goodness, it was filled with goodness, tons of goat cheese, walnuts, and dried cranberries. Chicken fingers were very good, not greasy. The pizza won the Pizza Throw-down challenge at St. Jerome School, a local elementary school. It was good, but not great. I prefer a crispier crust and more sauce. The pizza was warm, it might taste better piping hot. Beer and wine selection just okay. Don’t go on karaōke night if you want to hold a conversation. If you want karaōke, the singer had a great voice. Four stars for the OMG salad!

This is a hidden gem in Weymouth! It’s under new management. Everyone is super friendly and the food is amazing. I love the turkey tip salad! Fun atmosphere to hang out and have some good food! They catered a party I had and everyone loved the food!
