Express

Spacious, well organized, clean store. Very friendly, non-​intimidating staff too. I usually don’t frequent Express because I’ve been put off by staff at other locations and prices, but I was impressed with this site’s attitude. I only ended up getting a super adorable ring there, but I’d come back in a second in the future!

I really like this store. I actually prefer this store over the Oak Brook and Fox Valley. It is small, so there may not be as much as you would find at Oak Brook, but you can always order and they will ship for free.
Express has stepped it up with their line of dresses this summer, so I have been coming here about every week (prepping for spring… UGH! C’mon Chicago weather… Killing me here!)
The attitude of the employees are excellent. They greet you, help you and always have such an upbeat attitude, like they actually want to be there and don’t hate their job. The ladies here are always extremely nice and I cannot stress that enough, it makes the experience great! Also, the store is clean, almost flawless every time I walk in. Parking is always easy. There is also parking in the back. I highly recommend this store instead of the other stores.

I used to work at Express, so I’m familiar with the quality and fit of the clothing here. So pretty much I avoid them. But I find myself at this location from time to time and I usually end up with an item or two. The customer service is passable. The merchandising is flawless. This brand in general just doesn’t wow like it used to.

I went in here looking for a sweater. For the most part the clothes were well-​merchandised and organized, with a few outlying sweaters stuffed into the wrong location or not re-​priced after returns. Though it was the middle of the day on a Friday, the sales associates didn’t even acknowledge my presence (or that of the one other shopper in the store) — only when I got to the register. Meh, not super-​impressed.

I’m a huge fan of Express clothes, and I like my local Express location too!
This Express is located in Town Square, a shopping area that is built as a giant circle, with shops in the middle of the circle, outside the circle, and a parking lot shaped like a circle. If you come during a less busy time of the day, you can park in the circle, right in front of the shop of your choice, and walk the 50 feet to the entrance. If you come during peak hours, you can park in the peripheral parking lots, which aren’t that far either.
Express clothes are fun, original, and flirty. The clothes are made for a woman who is trendy but high-​end stylish at the same time. They throw in bold colors, but it’s never tooooo out there.
For example, as of right now, they’re featuring «shark bite» tank tops, which are shirts which have the front bottom cut out in a half circle shape, with the sides of the shirt longer than the front. The back is also left intact. I’m a fan of these shirts because they are flowy without making you look like a whale, and they can help show off the cool shorts or pants that you are wearing underneath more!
The sticker prices of the clothes are on the higher end, but for formal work clothes, I think they’re worthwhile. For the non formal workwear, some of it is definitely overpriced ($ 20 for a shelf bra tank top?!), but wait a while for their inevitable periodic sales.
What makes Express more affordable is their «buy one get one half off deals» for almost everything, and then they have coupons every once in a while. For evevery $ 50 you spend, you get a $ 25 coupon for the next $ 50 you spend at a later time at Express. Of course, they hook you in to coming in next time, but to have your next shopping purchase halved from $ 50 to $ 25? That’s awesome.
Every time I’ve been to the Wheaton location, the staff has been extremely friendly. They’ve asked me about where I’m going with the clothes I’ve bought, giving me advice on how clothes look, advising me on the best deals, etc.
Basically, this is a great store and location!
