The people here are very nice. I went in months ago(not sure when) for a blow dry last minute. I have very curly hair that’s frizzy and I never trust anyone to work on it. I was in a rush and it was a last minute decision, so I decided to go here. I was disappointed in how they blew dry my hair. I don’t remember the name of the person that worked on me. She was very nice and I have no complaints at all about the place. I told them my hair gets frizzy and as she was blow drying, she’d air out the ends of my hair. So it was frizzy. I didn’t like it at all. I had to ask her to completely blow dry it and get the friz out. I don’t blame them, I just don’t think everyone can work with curly hair. I’m sure they do a good job for easier hair to work with. I wouldn’t go back, but that’s just because of my hair type.

I’ve been going to Bea at Marquiz Salon since 2009. I don’t know how she does it, but she manages to take my fine, limp, randomly wavy hair and turn it into something lovely. Of all the stylists I’ve been to in my 40 years, she has been the only one to consistently cut it well. She’s very patient with me, and always listens to my requests. I’ve also used Margo for eyebrow waxing. Margo creates a very relaxing atmosphere and takes her time getting things right. I think the best part of the whole experience though is the shampoo and scalp massage. Seriously awesome. Every time I start to question paying the salon prices, I remember how all of these things contribute to a really lovely experience that always leaves me feeling pleased.

I chose Marquiz Salon in Wheaton for my wedding hair, and was incredibly pleased. My stylist was one of the salon’s partners and did a «test run» where I brought in photos, accessory possibilities, and so forth to experiment with. Her advice was candid, her work was great, and she factored in important considerations for the«day-of» including timing, and strategies for incorporating a tiara, etc. For my fine hair, she welcomed my suggestion of using hair extensions to «bulk» up my hair(I didn’t want to have my hair matted later that evening/the next morning) and offered great suggestions on the type of hair extensions(needed to be natural human hair, not synthetic). Also worth noting: I was married in mid May, and went in when a number of girls were getting their prom hair-dos. I grew up in Wheaton in an era where girls all got the same updo for homecoming/prom, and(because I had become obsessively aware of hairstyles at that time) I was impressed with what the high school girls were getting at Marquiz. Anyway, when the big day came, she came on location and was completely self-sufficient in the bridal suite and took care of all set-up needed(moving furniture as needed to allow access to electrical). She did my mother’s hair, the two flower girls, and lastly she did my hair which was done swiftly and perfectly without causing skull-numbing pain. I would highly recommend Marquiz salon for bridal hair services, or any other special occasion hair: my stylist was communicative, patient, and listened to me, and the result was that I didn’t have a «cookie cutter» style. It was beautiful, and unique to me. It was perfect!

I have been going to Marquiz Salon for years. I found the salon by asking various friends & acquaintances whose hair I admired just where they went to get their hair done. After 3 separate women told me they went to Marquiz, I knew I had to check it out. It is a comfortable but professional setting. I find the stylists and front staff to be warm and personable. It is a family business and they make you feel at home. I highly recommend Marquiz Salan. Aracelli is my stylist, and I can’t say enough about her. She is super talented and a wonderful person as well.

Just got my hair cut here this past Friday in an act of desperation I decided to give this place a shot(have an interview on Monday and hair that looked like my mother never loved me). I got the basic mens cut which includes shampoo, cut, and rinse which ran me 25 bucks before tip which isn’t too bad for a saloon in my opinion. My hair turned out exactly the way I wanted it to and the small talk with my stylist was comfortable and made the time go by quickly. I am pretty precise when it comes to how I like my hair to be cut and she really listened to what I wanted and was able to do a great job which is definitely worth the 10 – 15 bucks to avoid another Great Clips disaster.

My wife and daughter have been going here for a few years, and I went in for a cut for the first time last month. This was actually my first ‘salon’ experience, so I was a bit surprised to see other guys in there when I went in. Pleasantly surprised. I was treated well by the friendly staff, and I did not pay outrageous prices like you’ll find at the bigger name salons that have to pay to have designer names on them. This is an upscale salon without upscale prices. When I want a great cut, I know I can get one there.
