Unilocal’s criteria for 5 stars is «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» Which is precisely my feeling about Charlie’s — it’s as good as it gets … in White Cloud.
They’ve been open since before I was alive, are consistently friendly, cheap, and have good food and beer. All comers. Charlie’s is equally welcoming to locals, seasonal passers-​through, and bikers. If you’re going to eat out in White Cloud, you could choose the gas station Subway, one of the questionably open diners, or a place with a thick coat of character like Charlie’s.
Get the pizza burger because why not. Grab a pitcher, play some pool, and put Van Halen on the jukebox.
