Wow! I had to walk off the course after eight holes. I have never been so mistreated on a golf course. My foursome played five holes and had a minor delay at the sixth tee. We allowed the threesome behind us to play through. As we were waiting for the green to clear the marshal drove through our group and told one of the guys not to hit his shot. The marshal proceeded to the sixth tee and had a twosome that just arrived play through us. They were older and took several shots just to get to our drives. The lady apologized profusely for making us wait and added she had no idea why the marshal had them play through. We told them not to worry and told them to enjoy their round. It took us no less than 40 minutes to get through the sixth hole. What a disaster. We played the seventh and eighth wholes and made it to the ninth tee when the marshal came down the fairway, passed by us, on his way the the eighth hole. He turned around and came back towards us. I want to be very clear at this point. We were on the ninth tee, the closest group behind us was out of sight but a view of their cart would suggest they were on the seventh green. No one was even on the eighth hole. The marshal approached us again and said we could hit our tee shots, but would have to wait for the group behind us to play through. We told him that wasn’t going to happen. He said we would do as we we’re told. That was it, I lost it. I told him what I thought of him and then hit a beautiful slice into the rough. We drove to our shots and he followed us and parked behind us. I was done at this point. Don’t waste your money and time at this place. There are great courses in the area, but this place isn’t worth it. Oh it only took us 2 hours and 10 minutes to play the nine holes even after letting two groups play through us. We were not slowing down the pace of play. Update: I spoke with the assistant manager two days later. He apologized for what happened. Said he had mentioned to the marshals that they needed to earn their keep, and feared this particular one may have taken it the wrong way. We agreed it was an unfortunate set of circumstances and not the normal way they do business.
