Hands down the worse service experience in my life. I came in because of the food reputation of this place and as a food lover I was excited. The bar was very busy but the dining room(2 tables occupied) wasn’t so, I decided to go there. I wasn’t sure if I should seat myself or wait for a host so I stood by the server service counter where a female employee was leaning against the wall talking on her cell phone about drama that was occuring in her life. I waited for about 5 minutes for her to care, even after we made eye contact several times and went to the bartender to ask if I could be served at a table. He came from the bar and sat me himself and said there is a waitress but didn’t know where. Turns out it was the gossiping employee. I sat until she finished her conversation, she plainly took my order, no smile, limited personality effort. When my food arrived she dropped my plate(literally, fries fell off) and she walked away to never return until I was obviously done with my meal. I ordered the Poboy which was very good except one half of my sandwich only had 1 piece of shrimp on it so I really only ate 1 half of my sandwich and then the fries. I wasn’t going to complain but when the waitress made me wait almost 10 minutes to collect my card to pay while she leaned against the service counter and scrolled her cell phone screen, I got up to ask for a manager. When she asked why I asked to please just send him to my table when he or she is free. Instead the waitress comes over and begins telling me if I have a problem then to talk to her about it. When I asked for the manager again, she finally told me there was no manager to talk to and if she had a problem with her then to tell it to her. So I told her my exact issues. She snatched the bill out of my hand and began ripping it into pieces and said«issue resolved» and walked away from me. I was shocked! I couldn’t believe she was so rude! As I was standing up to leave, she began to scream at me from the threshold that separates the dining room from the bar about how if I wasn’t happy and didn’t like it then I shouldn’t have eaten it. I was so embarrassed I didnt even put on my coat. I just left. To Management: I hope you read these and care enough to contact me and fire your horrible waitress. This occurred on 3÷1÷16 around 8:00 pm. I enjoyed the half of my sandwich that was complete with shrimp and would have gladly expressed my concerns about the lack there of on the other half to my waitress if she ever checked on me. I wasn’t looking for a free meal, just better service. I work during the week in New York and have waitressed for years in a busy New Haven restaurant, so I understand the food industry and that we all have our bad days. but her behavior is inexcusable and I hope that you will do the right thing and get rid of a person who clearly doesn’t deserve or care about her job.

My buddy just moved to white plains and we were looking for an after work spot to grab a beer and some food(we work the swing shift in the Bronx till 11pm-12am) and we were tired of all the expensive drinks and food, not to mention the young annoying kids who can’t handle their liquor and loud music that you get at all the bars on mamaroneck avenue and asked around until someone recommended us to Dunne’s, and let me say, we were never so happy, we knew it was our bar within minutes, its got the atmosphere and feel of that classic dive bar wothout looking(or smelling) like a dive, with actual buy backs from the bar, great food, endless Jameson, and great prices, we thought it was great, then we met Nicky, the bartender, and suddenly it went from great to amazing, friendliest guy in the world, hell hang out and bullshit with ya until last call, have everybody cracking up, always keeps your glass full. He remembers everybody’s names, and what they drink. He just makes you feel welcome, amd introduces you to other customers and locals, This guy is the greatest bartender I have ever met and a big part of the reason Dunne’s is my favorite spot in white plains!

Called three times to place a pick up order. Was hung up on each time. The fourth time I called I said«Hi, I’m interested in placing a $ 50 food order and am a block away.» They said«We have had two pick up no show orders and can’t place anymore.» I told them I was literally a block away and would be right there. They continued to yell at me and hung up on me a fourth time. I ended up going to dinner and spending $ 50 down the street. I will never be back here — how rude!

This is just a neighborhood bar that serves bar food, not a destination trip. The corn chowder was bland and the meatloaf and chicken cordon blue was not good. A good place to have a beer and burger I bet, with good prices. The service a little indifferent, with a fly in my Cabernet, really you can not make this up.

I have lived in the area for over 12 years and last week was my 1st visit. I was pleasantly surprised at the service and food. I had the fish and chips which was fantastic. My wife had corned beef sandwich and French onion soup and both of those were really good too. Not to mention a few glasses of beer. Will be back there soon. Highly recommend this place.

There’s an Irish session(traditional music) every Wednesday night. Every other Saturday night, there is a smaller group of musicians playing traditional Irish music. if you are going for that reason, you should give them a call to check when they start and if it is a Saturday on which they play. My dad likes to get a burger, chowder or one of the specials and I usually have a salad or even just a vegetable side order. The waitresses are very nice. If you park in the Shapham lot near it, be aware that you have to pay there all the time. Don’t risk a ticket.

By far the worst Westchester bar I’ve ever set foot in. The bartender was Extremely Rude. I put $ 8.00 in the digital juke box and was told to «tone it down» or he would be forced to skip my song selection. I was playing a mellow mix of old country(Waylong Jennings) and eighties rock/metal(Metallica/Dio). There were approximately ten or less patrons dwelling in the establishment at 11 pm on a Saturday night. Not sure what was so offensive but I was Forced to leave. I’ve been a resident of Westchester county for over thirty years and it makes me sad that it has not evolved one bit. I will Never give Dunn’s Pub my business Ever again.

Dunne’s is an outstanding place to either meet friends, have an low key drink, or enjoy a hearty meal. It’s definitely not going to win any points with the 30 and under crowd that frequents the generic pubs along Mamaroneck Ave or with hardcore foodies. However, Dunne’s has a lot of character, friendly staff, and some solid food and drink. That certainly goes a long way!

I have eaten here several times. I like to go here, the food is reasonably priced and they even have a German menu on the 1st Thursday of every month. I would recommend it if you are not looking for fancy ambiance or views but a good adult neighborhood feel. They can be totally full so it might be a good idea at busy times to make a reservation if they will take one.

This review is based solely on this pub’s food. I thought the food was average at best. Nothing extremely disappointing yet it does not distinguish itself from fare at other eateries of this style. We had nachos appetizer and I ordered the steak sandwich.

Went there for the first time last night with my wife, glad we did. The place is a little on the dark side but it had a warm feeling. There was a group of 4 older men sitting at a back corner table playing Irish music for the 2 hours we were there. They were good and it was pretty cool just to listen to live background music. We had a couple of pints and some dinner. I had some Harp lager and my wife had coors light on draft, but I would say the majority of the pours there are Guinness. We had the wings as an app and they were as good if not better then the Candlelight. I also had a sizzling steak which was pretty darn good for bar grub. I felt the prices were good for what you got. I will add it to my rotation of good pubs. Good spot.

This is a great Irish pub. Try German dishes every first Thursday of the month. You will not regret!

Stopped by to see if the 5 star reviews were true. Had a black & tan and a great pint of Guinness. Awesome local Irish Pub. I’ll be back for some Irish music and a few more pints.

It really doesn’t get any better than this. From a great pour on Guinness and Smithwicks, to VERY good food(try the typical bar food: burgers or wings). The bartenders, Desmond, Justin, Phil, Walsh, Tim, and others are all excellent behind the bar. They always know the scores to a game, sharp-witted, funny, and keep things moving. The Irish music, whether live or from the well stocked selection on the jukebox, fits in perfectly. Best of all is the clientele: People from all walks who just seem to get along and enjoy any conversation. This is what every pub should aspire to… Definitely my favorite bar.

Great menu with traditional pub food and other great dishes. Awesome bartenders, great prices, great local joint. If you want a club atmosphere, do us all a favor and go someplace else! If you want a great meal, cold beer, and a healthy pour of whisky, this is the place!

If you are looking for a GREAT pint of Guinness in a local’s pub with good food, good people and great bartenders this is your place. If you are looking for attitude or bass that you can’t talk over, then go some place else.
