I called 3 months out to schedule my woman’s wellness appt and first available is 7 months away. Egad. I was put on a wait list by central scheduling. I also scheduled an appt to get a referral for a new complaint and first available is in 2 weeks. This is really unfortunate. Because of my insurance, this is the only place locally I can go.

The only reason I am apart of this community is because we transferred out of Anne Arundel County into this location. Let’s start at the beginning, we had a wonderful time with this hospital in Anne Arundel County well I can tell you this experience thus far is completely different.
As soon as I moved into this county, I made an appointment for my boys to get their annual physicals 5 months early which would suggest we wouldn’t have any problems right, well we had problems from the very first call before we even got in to see a doctor… The people scheduling the appointments are rude and have no concept of wasting people’s time, you are on hold for 20 minutes at a time so grab some popcorn when calling in. I tried to schedule my boys appointment around the same time and was told that is not allowed so one of them had to be scheduled early in the morning and the next late evening… on what Earth does that make sense esp for school age children and working parents. Eventually I was able to talk to a manager who understood why this would be an inconvenience and put my boys in a close time frame.
Now fast forward, 5 months go by and it’s time to go to their appointment. Two days before their appointment I called in to cancel one and to confirm the other which I was able to do. I’m new to the area so I left work early to make sure I could find the place and that we were not late. We got to the Dr office about an hour and a half before time and checked in. We sat there until time for our appointment when I was notified that the Dr was not in and someone should have called me to let me know that. I was livid because not only did I confirm their appointment twice that week, you let me sit in the Dr office when you knew the Dr wasn’t even there, please respect people’s times!!! So I made another appointment for 2 – 3 weeks later. Well a week before this appointment I get a letter saying the Dr isn’t going to be in again??? Really, is the Dr ever in? So I called to see if I can just change Dr because this isn’t getting a bit ridiculous and was told that we would have to wait another 6 months before we could be seen??? Wow I guess you have soooo much business that you don’t need new business or to care about customer service because the people at the front desk have the worst attitudes!!!
I called this morning because I popped something in my knee earlier, you would think this would have been an emergency any where else but on no, I have an appointment for January…

While I originally liked my doc, over the last year I have watched the staff become rude, abrupt and adversarial. This morning I watched two patients walk out after really rude treatment. If you want to be barked at, insulted and scolded for nor following rules they don’t tell you exist. Come here

My doc is excellent, she takes the time to glance at your patient history every time… before she sees you; and asks about any previous issue if it has nothing to do with the current visit. She also encourages her patients to be involved in their own care and recovery.

This is my wife’s primary care. They called and confirmed her appointment time. We show up five minutes early. They tell her they can’t see her because she is ten minutes late. Apparently they put a different time in their computer. They couldn’t even squeeze her in. Their loss. Also, a little weird that they hit you up for charitable donations in the doctors office. Little unprofessional and never seen that anywhere else.
