Gusto’s

A week or so ago we ordered from Gusto’s after they put a flyer in our mailbox. We were not disappointed.
We ordered three pizzas to be delivered: a garlic cheese, a meat lover’s, and a taco pizza — all straight off the menu. We also ordered the fried veggie basket appetizer. Oh and we had a pepperoni calzone too.
Delivery was fast and friendly, and the pizzas and app were plenty hot.
The fried vegetables were hot, crispy, not oily at all. And the portions are generous.
The pizza was unexpectedly good! Plenty of cheese, a good balance between crust, sauce, cheese, and ingredients. The meat lover’s had roast beef on it – never had sliced beef on a pizza before but it works! The taco pizza had lettuce on it and thin tortillas spread across the top, and that really surprised us too, with how well it worked!
The calzone was great and was not pre-​sliced which we thought was awesome.
If you had Gusto’s years ago but haven’t for a while, definitely give them a try.

Definitely a place you’d fly by driving down calumet and not think to stop at because the building blends into the housework. It’s worth the stop, though, and has really good food. The delivery is fast, and the food will not disappoint you!

Got delivery and it was faster than expected and told. That’s big points for me. The pizza was just your run of the mill stuff. Nothing out of the ordinary special, but it was tasty nonetheless. The sauce had a savory accent to it and the cheese was nice and thick… actually tasted like cheese. Well priced, too. Would definitely order again.

This place rocks! SPEEDY delivery! Great food pizza is always crispy on the bottom but not burnt and the fries and rings are always crispy!!, … and now they serve great tacos too! My newest fave!

Being new to the area, I tried all the pizza places near me… gusto’s pizza won my business!
I recommend extra sauce :)

I ordered 2 pizzas tonight because the streets were bad from the snow/​ice. I figured when I called that delivery would be well over an hour because nobody wanted to go out in this weather. The really nice guy on the phone said it would be over an hour. They were here in 34 minutes and not only was the pizza fantastic but the delivery driver was nice, good mood, happy… even though he was out delivering in gross weather. Gusto’s is awesome. Period.

The stuffed pizza is definitely a winner …

The counter girl attempted to overcharge me by $ 4.65 for my pizza…
When I arrived, my pizza was ready but the counter girl kept answering phones and taking orders along with a personal call, combined with the fact that she kept yelling out «hey, this guy at the counter wants to pay»…someone from the back walked up, said hi, and walked away…5 order calls and 15 minutes later I was able to pay for my order and leave. Needless to say, my pizza was not hot when ready to be eaten and if I’m going to pay $ 27.00 for a pizza I should be able to enjoy it hot, the way that it was intended to be…

We have Gusto’s at least once a month. I love the calabrese with pepperoni. My husband enjoys the calzone. They also have really great wings. I most recently had the grilled chicken salad which was a nice big portion with fresh and still warm chicken on healthy looking lettuce. We always get delivery and their driver is one of the most pleasant people to talk too. They are fast and priced well. They take your card over the phone which is great for us and others who don’t always have cash. Even on a busy Saturday night their delivery is only around 30 minutes.
Oh! I just remembered, my husband recently had the three taco meal and he said it was great. Large portion of beans and rice to go along. Never a bad meal!

I’ve been a customer of Gusto’s for a few years and never had a bad experience until the past few months. I don’t know what it is, but it’s been on a sudden decline with everything. I’ve ordered again after a bad experience or two in order to give benefit of the doubt, but now it’s been consistently terrible. They once had some great Italian beef but the past few times I’ve ordered, it’s no longer the same, it’s clearly the store bought kind that comes frozen in a tub, if I wanted that I’d just go to the grocery store. The hot wings I’ve received smelled and tasted like they went bad. The pizza is often soggy and under-​cooked and I’ve even received it with the toppings slid off like it was carried sideways. Stay away from this place like the plague, there are better places in town.

Gusto’s pizza is not the Region’s best, but it certainly is good. To me, «Barton’s» will always be the best, but Gusto’s is not by any means a bad place. Their pizza has a good amount of garlic, and it’s toppings taste fresh and real. They also have Calzones, Chicken wings, sandwiches, and appetizers.
