I would give this place a 6-star rating if it was possible. Normally my wife is the wine-drinker, but this is the one place where I will set down my Scotch glass and gladly partake of some of the best local wine that you will find in the area. The wine is great, as is attested to by the many awards they have won at major competitions throughout the state. Their prices are very reasonable and they are very are consistent in their quality, which is something that smaller wineries tend to struggle with. The location about 25 minutes east of Redding couldn’t be more convenient and the setting is such that you almost dread having that last glass and heading back home. Stop here and sample their wines. You won’t regret it.

David does an amazing job! His wines are fantastic and we really enjoy each trip we make up to his tasting room… I stock his wines both at home and in the office. The Dakarose is a great blush wine to have anytime during the day, and his California Viognier for everyday luncheons! We keep the California Tempranillo and Shasta County Graciano at home for BBQs in the summer… The product and hospitality is great…

Had a great time visiting with David Roth and some friends while trying his wines. Really enjoyed his Big Spring Obsidian«Red». Nice layers that keep unfolding in your glass. If you take your time your will detect the layers of this very nice blended red. This place is a little off the beaten track. Hospitality and wines were both great. Looking forward to sitting down to a few glass with David Ross again real soon1
