Small but quaint, a bit too stuffy (air-​wise). Lots of books on a ton a different subjects. Plenty of tarot cards and oracle cards which have open card packs to browse through. You can shuffle through cards and look at the whole deck. The workers there are friendly and easy to talk to. I found a new tarot card pack when I went in search. Glad there was such a large selection. I’ll be back here again.

Just came in to browse and I endedup going home with two books on Zen Buddhism. I noticed a wide selection of new age music, tarot decks, and literature. The staff is very friendly and wilking to help you on any topic.

This store beats amazon shoppers! This is a great store if you are looking for oracle decks and new age/​spiritual/​metaphysical books. They have a sample of all their decks so you can take a look at them and make sure if that deck resonates with you or not. Another reason to go to this store instead of amazon is their book selection. They have books that are not even available on amazon like certain ones by the stone author Melody. I fully enjoyed my experience here even though I was looking for crystals and stones (not much variety) I still came home with a beautiful merkabah pendant and a Judy hall book. Happy :)

I can’t believe that this shop has been here for twenty-​one years. I’ve been in Whittier all of my years (slightly longer than that) and I’ve never seen it before. I swear.
My brother and I were driving by, he spotted it… We made a chance visit up the stairs to this funny little place. Funny because it is not what you expect, really.
There are tones of stones, statues, jewelry, tarot cards, affirmation cards (Hay House), books on all facets of mysticism and spirituality. Incense. Candles. It’s really a cool place if any of these things call to you.
We even had readings from a deck of cards called the Russian Gypsy Fortune Teller set. It was an unique, enlightening experience. Recommend! :)

And we got info on future events here at the center AND at nearby Hsi Lai Temple! Like vegan minds converge.
I hope you can check this petite gem out, apparently it’s been doing uptown Whittier a service for a long time hence (using that word felt a bit out there, but also right… Thanks, narrator.)… And maybe your impulse visit will turn into a two-​hour joyride. Ours definitely did. Like I said. Takes you by surprise.

I’ve been going to Dharma Center for years and I’ve never had a negative experience. Everyone there is helpful and happy to see you. Lots of books, cards and selection of crystals. People that work here are patient and really care about what you’re there for, even when you aren’t sure. Check it out, it’s a great place!

Just a veryvery interesting retail store. Filled with meditative books, amulets, altar accessories, etc. The heavy aroma of incense permeates this place, as is typical of this sort of establishment.
Because I purchased a tarot set, the woman working there offered to give my friend and me individual readings; which were surprisingly insightful. The entire interaction offered quite the glimpse into the world of divination.

The people who work at the Dharma Center are so wonderful. They’re all really knowledgeable about the stuff that they’re selling and know exactly how to help and what to say. If you’re ever in the need of beautiful stones, nice incense cones, sage, books, meditation music, etc., I’d definitely check this place out.
One thing that I particularly enjoy about this place is that they’re willing to miss out on a sale if it means spreading knowledge about a particular topic. My friend went in recently to ask for some guidance on a skill and they heavily advised against it. Instead, they told my friend how to protect herself (mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually) until she can build the skills to do what she intended to do. They’re all about good vibes and honest intentions there, so this is a place I definitely trust.
