Don’t do it its not worth the price you get what you pay for! Low price low quality food, not to mention they gave us dirty forks and spoon and I’m not taking about a Lil spot No! It still had a piece of rice in between the spokes! The only thing good are the dragon cookies and that’s because they are bought not made. Do yourself a favor and just go else where

Don’t do it!!! I was in the neighborhood trying to kill some time so decided to sit and eat. Wrong idea! Nothing at this buffet was good except the price. The shrimp were mushy and overlooked, nothing looked fresh, and there was no flavor at all! Not to mention this places décor was disastrous. Yuck. Bathroom disgusting. I told the manger that this place was horrible. He didn’t care. Don’t do it guys. Here’s your warning!

I have been here a few times. I wasn’t cooking for the holiday and needed somewhere for my brother and I to eat while everything was closed. Service Is usually solid but sometimes the selection can feel less than fresh… A buffet hazard but This review is for Holiday– Christmas service(12.50) If you are going to come to this place For Christmas I can totally recommend… everything was on point and fresh. I think they expected a lot of people and it showed… the servers My faves are: the chicken teriyaki, salt and pepper shrimp, flan, seafood delight, egg roll, Cons: Sushi could be better. I’m not a big fan of the creamed seafood dishes.

All you can eat sushi with some great veggie/vegan choices. Only 8 dollars for me, 6 for my 7 year old, and 3 for my 5 year old. Easier to manage for my little guys than a regular restaurant because they could get up and choose, walk around. I did not get a huge portion, but the choices were worth it. Staff was attentive and swift to clear dirty dishes. I would go back with my boys if i don’t feel like cooking and are out of groceries. I would put 5 stars for a bit more freshness, but it was solid and affordable, good for kids. No frills but good. I chose 4 stars. My boys argued that it deserved 5 stars, so from a kid perspective, 5 stars. A million times better than eating fast food and actually less expensive, especially for lunch. More healthy, and loads of yummy veggies for mama. They were quite delicious.

Went to this place, as one of the other reviews says, after a funeral. Rose Hills is nearby and thus this buffet was ideal for a large party, with no notice. And it was still empty(it was a Friday late afternoon). The place is cavernous. So don’t worry about making reservations for bringing a large group here. We brought 20 people and easily fit at one long table. Also, it was pretty cheap. The food here is meh, some things were awesome and others were a flop. The selection is meh, too. But there was plenty of each food and the basic Chinese foods are all there. There’s ice cream afterwards too. It hit the spot for what we were looking for but it’s nothing special.

I love this place! perfect for medium to large parties or even for the quick lunch that is not wrapped in paper or deep fried. The service is quick and courteous. I love the fresh sushi bar and the seafood selections are also my favorites. For a buffet it is reasonably priced. Hope you like it!

We arrive before diner, but the manager brought out salmon sashimi and snow crab legs for my family. We didn’t finished it because we wanted to taste the other foods. My brothers wished they had mongolian bbq. Even though the manager and servers were nice and made sure we get great service, I wouldn’t come back due to the high price for dinner and only a few selections of food. So, an extra star for that. We usually go to Great China Buffet in El Monte and the had far more selections for a cheaper price.

Not worth it, I have been wanting to try this place for some time, and finally tried it tonight for dinner. Food doesn’t taste fresh, smells weird inside, and service isn’t good. I paid $ 50 for dinner with 2 adults and 2 small kids(7&4). For that I shoulda went somewhere else. Gave it 2 stars because maybe lunch is better? And the kids enjoyed the coconut cake, fruit, and ice cream. We will not be returning.

I found out about this place because I got coupons in the mail and decided to try it out on Mothers’ Day. I came here with my family and we all enjoyed the stay. The servers were humorous and quick to serve. The food was very fresh and many of the dishes were very good. I am not Chinese and certainly have no idea of what Chinese food is supposed to taste like, but I really like the fried noodles, sushi, coconut shrimp, mussels, and ice cream. They also have other seafood and a whole section with food the the kids would enjoy(fries, fried chicken, etc). Overall, great setting, excellent service, and very reasonable price. Would definitely come back.

Today was my first time coming in 3 years. The last time I dined at Grand Buffet, the food was completely inedible. Today I decided to give it another shot and was pleasantly surprised. While you will not be getting high quality Chinese food by any means, I did enjoy the egg rolls, crab wontons, fried rice, orange chicken, fresh fruit, chow mein, and sushi rolls. My 5 year old and 1 year old girls enjoyed it too, having seconds of everything. Can’t beat the price, $ 13 total for me and my 5 year old(the 1 year old was free). We had water which helped keep the bill low. Keep an eye out for coupons in the mail, I didn’t have one today but we frequently get them. I would go back ! The reason for the 3 stars vs 5– some of the dishes weren’t that great(the soups and some of the other hot entrees), and our waiter didn’t come around to clear our plates once. Kind of hard to enjoy buffet dining amongst a table of dirty dishes

Food was Dry, place was empty at about 4:30pm $ 24.06 fed both me and my grandaughter, it was all you can eat, but nothing to go back for seconds for. But on a good note The Miso soup and grapes were good.

I love the size of this buffet. It’s big and it has a lot of booths. They don’t have a lot of selection in food. They only have a few selections. Their salad bar sucks. Not a lot of dessert options. The ice cream is amazing but there’s no toppings. The only reason I keep coming is because it’s so close to home.

We used a coupon we got from the local news paper. We saved $ 6.25 off our meal! Buy one get one half off… that’s how they reel you in! I got an iced tea and he got soda. This was a pleasant experience. I highly recommend the«Sweet Coconut Snowy Treats»… a triumph!

It looks too old inside. The food was ok, just like other Chinese buffet. Not much to expect from.

Went here at night with a friend and we tried all the food and it was ether under cooked, over cooked, or sitting out for way too long. A Lot of the sea food was cooked with so much butter you couldn’t even taste the crab or muscles. Even the ice cream tasted wrong. The only 3 things worth eating was their chicken teriyaki, breaded shrimp and fruit. We left feeling sick and my friend got sick a couple of times. We were definitely expecting a side of food poisoning that night and boy did we get it. DONOTGOTHERE, NOTWORTHTHEMONEY.

If you enjoy good food, DONTGO to this place… If you are starving I suggest you to go to Dennis(which By the way I don’t like) but food it’s better than Grand Buffet. Almost at the end of my meal I found a hair on my food, that was just disgusting. I told the waiter. They gave me a 3 dollars discount. We paid $ 30 for a horrible meal with a human hair… Just disgusting.

So I’m at a midpoint with this one because it can get pricey. they charge for drinks so that sucked. The food was okay in flavor I mean some dishes were dry but food kept coming in so I was satisfied with knowing it was fresh. Chinese food sucks in Whittier compared to Compton so I guess if I had to settle I would go here. They definitely are in desperate need of more selections. I’m not going to scare you away with this review because I feel like you definitely have to try it once. It sure beats the Zen Buffet. Ps they have an A rating so that’s a super plus

Okay, this place is pretty expensive(I paid $ 17 for lunch), but besides that: not bad! An interesting distinction about this place is that it has coconut shrimp and crab legs. I was with friends, so I didn’t load up on crab legs(sadface). This place is a very standard Chinese buffet. If you like orange chicken, this place has got it. Almond cookies, check. Sweet and Sour chicken, check. Fried Rice and Lo Mein, check. Sushi bar, check. No fried chicken though. Now I ate all the sushi, and I gotta say: There’s an excessive amount of imitation crab, imitation crab salad, and avocado. There’s also cucumbers and carrots sprinkled throughout. There’s 2 pieces of sashimi(yellowtail and salmon) and it’s unimpressive. Pretty expensive for just a buffet, but I enjoyed the food and almond cookies.

For the price compared to other buffets I have been to that costs $ 3 to $ 5 more, not bad! I ordered hot tea for my drink. Tasted good and refreshing. I started with the egg drop soup. It tasted good. I could probably eat more of it but I wanted to eat a variety of food. I then got some gyoza. I think it tasted over cooked. I had some sushi. The rolls tasted fresh. A good amount of variety of sushi. Next I got some lo mein and orange chicken. It tasted good. I started dessert with cream puffs. The breading did not taste fresh. The cream on it wasn’t bad. I finished lunch with vanilla and chocolate ice cream in a cone. Very good! As for the service, good work!

Seriously the best Chinese buffet in the Whittier area. Affordable and they make fresh sushi during dinner! Good selection and soft serve ice cream at the end!
