A New Way Sober Living literally saved my life. After attempting to get clean multiple times on my own, I decided I needed to try something different. I went to A New Way Sober Living after I got out of rehab, and it was the best decision that I ever made. It made the transition from the safety of rehab to the harsh realities of the real world just that much easier. I was able to build healthy relationships and support groups with other addicts, attend meetings regularly and I was taught how to establish boundaries and habits beneficial to my recovery. Moving into A New Way gave me a solid foundation to build my recovery on. I have been clean since February 2, 2012. I have a life beyond my wildest dreams and I am forever grateful for the time I spent at A New Way!

I am an addict and have been in recovery for the last three years. I moved to the Wildomar area to attend rehab and was told about A New Way Sober Living through some friends I had met in a 12 step program. I knew I needed a safe, structured, clean place to live to progress in my recovery and ANW ended up being that place for me. But more than that, it became my home. In the nine months I spent in A New Way, I learned how to be a responsible adult which from where I came from was a feat in itself. I was kept accountable and held responsible for my actions while still maintaining a loving, warm, familial atmosphere. It afforded me the opportunity to move beyond the lock down feeling of a treatment facility into the real world but with a safety net. I can’t say whether or not I would’ve stayed clean those first few months without the help of ANW but I do know that it was an integral part of my early recovery and I continue to use the tools I learned there in my life. I will be forever grateful to A New Way for my time spent there.

Living at A New Way was extremely helpful in my transition into a clean and sober lifestyle. Having lived in other sober livings in both San Diego and Riverside, I feel that A New Way is a step above the rest. Being located in Wildomar, I felt it was ideal for keeping and addict like myself away from the chaotic hustle of city life. At A New Way I was able to build a foundation of recovery and still continue working towards my goals. It provided me with the perfect balance of structure and freedom. The sense of unity and fellowship I felt while staying at the Sober Living helped me to develop and sustain healthy, lifelong friendships with people who are still apart of my recovery today. With the support of the people I met at A New Way and the program of Narcotics Anonymous, I have been clean since June 23, 2011. For that I am truly grateful.
