Okay it’s an all you can eat buffet but the food is awful. It’s the cheapest cuts of everything. I had eaten there before several years ago and figured it maybe it had changed for the better. Nope! Cafeteria awful!

If you found your college cafeteria tasty this is your place. It’s cheap like 12.99 looks straight out the 70’s and more like hospital or college food. Your call. You can get full but not much taster

Selection was rather minimal when it’s there in front of you. Cheap-type foods and basically what you would expect from a buffet. I would not go again.

I went there with a group of 4 adults and 1 child. The service was quick getting us our drinks and was quick to take away plates that were finished. Food was good for a buffet. Some items better then others. If you go into this place looking for gourmet dinner then you are not going to have a good experience. For 13.00 all you can eat down the shore it is worth it. Next time down the shore for a vacation this will be a place we go to eat.

Unprofessional management. Customer service training need here. Food tastes like it was purchased at the dollar store. Not worth taking your family here. If you are on vacation and looking to enjoy your vacation, pass on this place. If not, you may end up wasting some of your vacation time in the restroom. Save your hard earned $$ and spend it at another establishment who deserves your money.

Want a good meal with great customer service and a professional manager? This is not the place for any of that. Food tastes like it’s from the dollar store. The wait staff and the manager could use a refresher course on customer service. Red Oak here is a tip: Customers are what drive your business and the reason you get a paycheck. You should try to make your customers feel like they are welcomed and not an inconvenience.

Came here on a Monday with a group of 8 which included 3 kids. We were a little hesitant about a few places after reading reviews but we were all so glad that we chose to come to the Red Oak!!! All of the food was fresh, the eggs were not powdered or dry but fresh and flavorful! They had turkey sausage, pork sausage, bacon, pancakes, and waffles with a variety of fruit toppings! Plates and silverware were clean and there was plenty of seating!

Went last night and was a little apprehensive at first, but pleasantly surprised. The salad bar was fresh and had lots of options. As with most buffets, some of the food was good and some not so good. If you are selective in what you choose and don’t expect too much it is a real bargain. My server Jody was excellent. So many items to choose from that you can put together a great meal for a great price

Your lucky I even gave this place a star reason. I give it star because I ate the food an survived. First wait staff is either Romanian or Russian I asked for a soda all I got was seltzer water. Then I asked another waitress to get me a soda then the Greek owners pulled her aside and gave her the business for serving the wrong thing. Food was horrible desert must have been rotating all week in the same fridge case please avoid.

food was bad, service was bad, we felt like an inncovience on them. That is fine I’ll conveniently spend my money somewhere else, there’s plenty of choices with better food. wish I could give ¼ star…

Worst food I have ever eaten. Hospital food is better. The chicken wing my wife had did not look like chicken. The salad was the only thing that was good… The desserts were so sorry my daughter who loves sweets did not like anything they had. The crab cakes are NOT crab cakes. They are hush puppies with a piece of crabmeat in it. The worst! We are from Baltimore, so we know a REAL crab cake. So not worth the money spent!

This place’s faults double as its charms. The décor hasn’t been updated since Napoleon walked the earth, but it has a totally unique feel to it. It’s not quite classic enough to be hot yet, but it’s also not faux-classical or tacky. Old people will instantly feel young again and young people will feel like they’ve stepped back in time. This remains the only buffet on earth I feel comfortable trying. Typically, the idea of eating food out of chaffing dishes when other people breathe all over it disgusts me, but this place is too good to let that bother you — especially on an island where most things for breakfast are small and expensive. I wish more of the staff were American like they were when I was a child, but this place is still incredible. Please support these local shore businesses by giving them a try!

The food is cheap and also nasty but if you eat enough of it you’ll at least leave full.

Place was across the street from our hotel, so we went for dinner AND breakfast the following morning. Prices are normal for a buffet(13.99 for dinner, 6.99 for breakfast). Dinner menu had a salad bar, soup, fries, pasta, ribs and other meat dishes, wings, various seafood, dessert, and more. It filled me up, but the food was just eh. Also, no alcohol(how is that a thing?) Breakfast was more enjoyable. Lots of eggs, bacon, sausage, and the holy trifecta of pancakes, waffles, and French toast. They also had scrapple, whatever that is. So, a 3.5 for breakfast, 2.5 for dinner, and 3 for service. Come here for breakfast, find lunch and dinner elsewhere.

Food is always the same. They charge for drinks and refills and it’s a Buffett The staff is ok bit older and don’t seem to welcome anyone like other places do. Also food sometimes don’t taste good and sweets well that’s if there is anything or anything good

Wildwood itself has become a haven that thrives on blatant support of habitual marijuana use, as well as «thug life» and«aren’t guns cool?»(if in doubt of this statement, just walk by any of the boardwalk shops and check out the shirts available. You will also notice quite a few shops also selling blown-glass marijuana pipes as well! Yay, smoke up, potheads! Not all of us need a leaf’s «benefits» to get through the day!). *ahem* Back to the review. The Red Oak Restaurant turned out to be one of the best things about our recent trip down to Wildwood. We had seen the ads on benches and the like on the boardwalk, but my wife and I weren’t 100% sure where we wanted to eat. After peeking inside, the owner(manager?) encouraged us to come inside and look, as we informed him we had never been before and weren’t sure. Well, everything sure looked good, and neither of us have ever been able to walk away from somewhere friendly and accommodating. The food was good and tasty, offering a more family-friendly, simple feel. Everything tasted fresh and not greasy at all, even the chicken tenders were grease-free! The mashed potatoes were homemade, not from a box. And the freshly-sliced beef and ham were delightful, not to mention *very* lean! With the boardwalk’s image changing into the current«Ain’t pot cool?» and«Look at my pistol, ma!» kinda attitude, it’s comforting to find a down-home, friendly place like the Red Oak Restaurant!

I thought it was pretty fing good. The 2 home made soups(mac and bean, chicken noodle) were a good start. There is a good sized salad bar, with mac salad bar. I liked every entrée I took; chicken marsala, chicken cordon bleu, hot italian sausages, turkey rolled over stuffing. I evaluate this as a buffet, ie is this the best marsala I have ever had, no, but no complaints either. At $ 11.99 I think it is a good deal, and moreover we had a coupon for a buck off each. I would certainly go back. Nice waitresses former UUSR occupied curvy, easy on the eyes.
