I’ll start with the positive … as I will give this place another shot for sure … hopefully they can make up for the bad! The ambience is really cool, they had an amazing live band playing which was so fun! Drink menu selection was awesome … the drinks tasted GREAT! SERVICE! This area definitely needs some improvements as we got a little annoyed … We waited 20 minutes for someone to come to our table and take our order … after the waitress took our drink order she came back with SOME drinks not all … the others didn’t come for another 15 minutes … we also ordered a round of shots … well those did not come at all! My husband got annoyed as we were all out of dinner and celebrating and went to the bar himself and brought the shots! We waited another 20 minutes for our check to arrive. Place was not busy at all so there was no excuse for the poor service.

Great atmosphere. They had a great band playing on Saturday night. The drink prices are reasonable.

Food is fine. Waited an hour for simple orders, while 2 other groups came 45 minutes after and received their food before us. Unbelievable.

I have eaten here at least a dozen times and food is always borderline bad. It’s usually late and the only thing open except Johnny Rockets in the casino. They do have a good draft beer selection with several good craft beers and it’s a laid back bar. Pretty good bands on the weekend, but just don’t go for dinner expecting good food

Terrible service but good food. 2 out of 3 times I’ve been to Bar Louie my service has been deplorable. I’ve waited 15 mins for a bottle of wine and finally got a glass with a chunk of food in it then I get a chipped glass, then they forget my fries. I wonder if they have anybody competent working. I love the food and want to go back but I fear the terrible service.

Excellent menu all the way through apps and entrée’s. Huge selection of draft beers, one of the best in NEPA, beers are always fresh. Also, one of the better selections of wines in the area. Great place for live music on the weekends. Usually a lively crowd and good scene. You’ll find some good specials during the weekdays. Hard to think of any complaints, Bar Louie has been a go to of mine since they first opened in the casino.

Live music was soooo loud that made any conversation almost impossible. The band was good though until they decided to do a rendition of Frankie Valli that made our ears bleed. Food was okay, drinks as well. The crowd was a bit rednecky. Overall, nothing special.

Measurably worse than the location at the Promenade in the Lehigh Valley. They were tapped out of several beers and the waitress just stared as me as I fumbled through the menu in a cloud of naivety. Our waitress would disappear for long stretches of time. The same burger that I got down at the Lehigh Valley location was way worse when I got it here, and the mac and cheese wasn’t good, it tasted different and had a more gooey texture. One factor may be that here we came on burger night or whatever it is, but I can’t understand how the quality could differ as much as it did.

Worst. Just the worst. You’d think it was their first day. Drinks took extremely long to get to the table. Food just as long. It came out one item at a time. We were told that a manager would come over to talk to us and offer a free round for the wait. That never happened. Our waitress did her best given the circumstances. Definitely not returning.

Awful service. Absolutely awful. Waitress was nice, but waited 15 – 20 mins for each round of drinks. Tables around us were actually going up to the bar for faster service. Food took over an hour, and even then, it came out one plate at a time over ten minutes. Yes, it was a Saturday night, but this place has been opened for years. Will NEVER come back here.

The drinks are a rip off at happy hour. They say the wine is a standard 5oz but I got less. Good is good. There are better places in the casino.

Their food is great! I like going on Tuesday nights with friends for their Dollar Burger night. You pay $ 1 for a turkey, beef, chicken, or mushroom patty and then each topping is an additional cost(lettuce comes with). One thing I think is silly is that they charge for sauces like mayo. Another catch is that you have to buy a drink with the burger, and I personally don’t like their drink options. All soda, unsweetened ice tea that no amount of sugar helps, or lemonade that’s a little tart for me. Wish they would get some more sweet teas(flavored would be nice). I can look past the food qualms because I understand they need to make money and it’s still a great deal, but the reason I give it 3 stars is the service. Servers are always very nice, but we always wait forever, even when they’re not that busy. Sometimes I come in big parties so I understand, but I think what bothers me most is that it always takes so long to get the checks at the end. Sometimes I feel like once the server gives us the food they just give up and invest time in new customers. It shouldn’t take so long for them to get it to us and then it’s even longer to bring the cards back. I often try to avoid this by paying in cash and leaving the tip there so I don’t need change. Overall, food is good and the environment is really cool. I love how they’ve recently rebranded. Their menus and advertising are great. Staff is nice, it would just be nicer if they were more attentive to us post eating!

This bar Louie is located in the Mohegan Sun Casino. I have to say this bar Louie does a pretty good job. I have been to three other bar Louie’s in other cities and this bar Louie’s very consistent. From the outside the location doesn’t look too big. Once you go inside it’s actually very large they have a full bar towards the back. They also have a separate bar that is up about three steps to the side. They Also have multiple TVs. As far as the food goes it’s everything a bar Louie’s has mostly burgers and appetizers the wings are pretty good here the flatbreads are good the burgers are good. The food here is cheap. They do run specials here every Tuesday night you can get $ 1 cheeseburgers. Every Wednesday night they have $ 5 buckets of beer. On these nights the place is packed. If you are patient enough to wait about an hour for your food I would suggest coming here on these nights. if you don’t want to wait and you don’t want to deal with people all over the place be my guest. I do recommend coming here for lunch because it’s virtually dead there’s nobody in here it’s actually very quiet and pleasant. In between 9PM and 2AM is there craziest time. I don’t know if bar Louie’s is the local college hang out spot around here or what but every time I’ve tried to come in here it is packed I mean full. I would not recommend coming here later at all unless you like crowds. The staff here is very good and a tentative the guy that checks the ID at the door was really nice he was from Long Island we had a little bit of a conversation good guy. All of the waitresses that I’ve had here have been very nice and friendly mostly college girls paying their way through school. Overall this bar Louie is a good value. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Just be aware that it does get crowded after dinner and the nights that they run their specials it gets extremely crowded. Other than that I will be back at this bar Louie’s. PROS: — friendly staff — good cheap food CONS: — gets really crowded past 9pm and on days they offer there specials!

We waited 45 minutes after they said that someone would take our order. After enough time we decided to write our complaints in ketchup on the table and leave. The casino has definitely lost its luster for decent and timely service in their business they let in.

This place is located at the Mohegan Sun Casino. We were there Tuesday night and Tuesday is Buck a Burger night. Well, don’t get fooled; the burger is a buck but if you want something else on it like cheese or friend onions or peppers or any kind of sauce, you add a bit more. Not a lot though. The burgers were really great and I especially loves something I had never tried before on it — pesto mayo! The cocktails were also pretty good. I had a peach martini. If you go, Tuesday would be the best bet but am sure it’s fantastic any night or day.

It had been nearly two years since I’d last visited Bar Louie at the Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs, and I’m not sure why I stayed away for so long. Went to Bar Louie with my fiancée to watch football this past Sunday. The bartender was perfectly attentive and helpful, especially with finding the games we wanted to watch on TV, the drinks were tall(large beers for the price of a small on football Sundays,) and the food was outstanding. We had an order of wings as an appetizer, which were cooked well and the sauce was tasty. Celery, carrots and bleu cheese complimented the order quite well. I’m still craving more today. Then, the entrees… my god, the entrees. I had the beef brisket sliders with pear slaw and a side of fries, and my girlfriend had a flatbread. Both were immaculate and I’d get them again in a heartbeat. I think we’ve found our new Sunday football destination. Keep up the great work!

This was a rough experience. I had no idea about this«$ 1.00 burger night.» We came to the casino to have fun … not wait an HOUR with cheapskates. UGHHH! First, the atmosphere was potential«nice,» but it seems that the bar in the back had a mishap and the floor was flooded. There was yellow caution sign, but it wasn’t completely blocked off and my brother walked right through it. Sounds like a massive liability! We ordered starters. What we received was exactly like something we’d find at a Denny’s but for double the price.(I mean this very literally with regards to the cheese quesadilla). Moreover, when I ordered a Red Bull, I was actually steered toward a «Raging Bull» … well, the Raging Bull was mostly water(from the melting ice-cubes?) and a touch of strawberry mash. Needless to say, it didn’t get me ready to gamble … it was basically just water. My brother’s strawberry ice-tea was hideous. It was strong tea, a strawberry purée and ABSOLUTELY no sweetener. It was literally one of the worst drinks I have ever tasted.(How can someone mess up an iced-tea??!) The entrees were virtually inedible. I had the mac and cheese(since I had zero interest in this $ 1.00 burger fiasco). It was watery and bland(seriously, take a tip from Rustic Kitchen … just walk over and see how they do it!). The accompanying garlic bread had no flavor, just grease. My boyfriend’s burger ended up being tossed … he said it lacked the absolute fundamentals of salt and pepper … additionally, it appeared that the«chefs» were rushed and were«pressing» the burgers on the grill(a HUGE no-no!!!) The were unbelievably dry. My brother did the exact same … one bite and the burger was tossed. Between the noise(insanely loud!!), the spills, the long wait(for dry, bad burgers), and the massively overpriced food … we would not dream of ever returning. If you are in the casino and seeking somewhere fairly tasty, Rustic Kitchen is a good choice(not great, mind you … but good).

We waited over 30 minutes for our hummus appetizer, much too long for an appetizer prepared in advance and served cold! I ordered my ahi tuna rare, but it arrived well done. They brought my new sandwich on the same wrapper. More important — even when cooked to my temperature request — I didn’t enjoy it. Also, when they say something comes with avocado, it’s only one bite of avocado. On the plus side — the drinks are good. I’d return for a cocktail, especially knowing that I won’t be able to hear my friends over the music if we’re having a meal. For food, there are other places at Mohegan Sun to try.

Drinks are a little on the expensive side($ 10 for all mixed drinks). I had the Blue Louie. I substituted the beef patty for turkey. Excellent! Added pickles and onions and that was the cherry on the top! For a drink I had the Limited Time only Strawberry Lemonade Sangria. It was ok. To many lemons floating in the glass. Gave the drink a tart taste. I took the lemons out and the drink was so much better! Wasn’t crowded as I came in around 3:00pm. It would be nice if the 5 or 6 waitresses that see you standing to be seated, actually tell you it’s self seating during the day instead of looking at you weird. Overall it was a pretty decent meal. Nothing fancy. Just an upgrade from the drive thru!
