George Williams College

I spent a few weeks up at George Williams as part of Music By the Lake. They have a cute little campus with a decidedly rustic/​camp feeling. They have a beautiful woodsy setting and an absolutely GORGEOUS lakeside beach and dock. We spent days swimming in the lake and lounging on the dock and evenings rehearsing in the gorgeous Ferro Pavillion (bring bug spray!). It seems in the summer the college plays host to lots of groups… SOAR, Nike Gold Camps, etc.
For treats the campus dinning hall is okay, but the College Inn boasts snacks and hand scooped ice cream (yum!). During the day you can lounge lake side or in the green Adirondack chairs at the Administration Building and catch up on a good book. At night you can light a fire in one of the fire pits and toast marshmallows. Concerts in the Ferro Pavilion are just beautiful and romantic as well. A definite stop if you’re in the area or looking for a unique summer experience.
