I didn’t even stay there yet and I am highly upset!!! I booked a room from Sunday to Friday. Unfortunately I had to change my reservation with 2 weeks notice to a Monday to Saturday due to a mishap at work. The Holiday inn rep told me she can do a Monday through Friday not Saturday, because Friday night was sold out. I was upset but I accepted it because it was my fault. However, the rep said I will also lose my deposit. I ask why, she advise that it was a hotel policy. I told her I’m not canceling I’m just moving it 1 day. If she would have charge me a surcharge of $ 25 to $ 50 I would have been ok. I am furious cause she said I’m losing my entire deposit which was $ 216. She then transferred me to front desk who transferred me to relations. Relations transferred me back to front desk. No one wanted to help. I’ve gotten much better treatment at the Hyatt. Thanks Holiday inn!!!

I wish i had Not made a reservation with them. One year ago I was called by a holiday Inn club vacation rep. He said they r offering a 3 night 4 day stay at 4 different places and i can stay for free if I attend a 2 hour preview. They offered reward points, a free night stay and $ 249 voucher for the stay. I agree. So here I am a year later enjoying the wonderful city of Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown and on my scheduled day I arrive at the preview. I am asked by the rep there a series of questions one of which do I make more than $ 50,000 a year. I said no. They stopped and then put me on the phone with coorporate. I was told I would have to pay for the entire stay about $ 600 because i do not make enough money to be previewed. I told him no one told me I had to make that money to see time shares. So he said that because i opened all the emails I was sent which had a fine print link called details of participation is why i will be charged. Buyer beware! !!

Being an owner at the original Orange Lake in Florida this resort was definitely a lot smaller and a lot less amenities that were used to the staff was nice overall a good visit

We had a two bedroom suite. Pros: It’s new and beautiful inside. Granite counters, jetted tub, two baths(a necessity with 3 girls), 3 TVs, king bed and 2 twins plus a sleeper sofa so there was plenty of room, and even a washer and dryer. Plus, the price was right. It’s convenient to all Williamsburg attractions. Cons: The walls are paper thin. For a new place, they should have built in WAY more insulation. I wanted to sleep in on Mother’s Day… no such luck as the neighbors clearly were early birds and very happy to see their mom at 7:30am. It sounded like they were in the room with us. Not good. The other con is this is apparently also a timeshare and they do hit you up to sit through their pitch, but at least they send you over to another counter to get your«parking pass» where they give you the pitch, so they aren’t holding your reservation hostage to guilt you into saying yes. Overall, if you’ve got teenage girls and need the space and can live with hearing your neighbors, this is a great option in Williamsburg. But if you are a light sleeper, find another place.

Wow! My wife’s quote was, «The only thing that could have made it any better was if they had a chef and laundry service come in.» I have to agree. We visited during Thanksgiving break in 2014. The grounds were very nice and well maintained even in the late fall. The resort is built in a colonial style to match the Williamsburg feel. Our check in process was seamless with a very knowledgable concierge. The Main House is complete with grand staircase, game room and other amenities. When going to our«villa» which was a suite on the third floor, we were taken aback by the design of the building. It looks like a 4 story modern plantation. Sounds strange but that is the feel. When we entered the room… Wow! Marble floors and granite countertops. Stainless steel upscale appliances. Beautiful décor all around. 2 bathrooms, both with jacuzzi tubs. Fireplace, laundry in the room, dishes and silverware included. It was like walking into your vacation home. Free WIFI, HD TVs everywhere, our room had 4! Bluray players, XBOX systems, Free Movies and Free Games. The resort has an outdoor pool, too cold in November to use. They were finishing up an indoor pool and bowling alley when we came so I could not experience them. They even had a chocolatier class, all free. Everything was not only luxurious with modern decorating and styling but very clean and chic without being gaudy. There were a few missteps and only a few. The rooms tended to be a bit warm. It was 36 degrees out and we turned off the heat and opened windows because it was so warm. Also I do wish the other amenities were finished so we could have experienced them. In addition, the rooms should have had more information about take out or delivery places in the area as there really was nothing in the resort to eat. However, these were extremely minor and completely forgivable considering the incredible atmosphere and beautiful suite we had. It is not a matter of if I would come back it is a matter of when I will be returning. The best hotel/resort experience I have yet to have. Amazing!!!
