Very good! I ordered food for a large group, and it included Cheesesteaks, chicken Cheesesteak, hoagies, grilled ham & cheese, roast beef club, grilled chicken salad, and chili. Everyone really enjoyed their food, and the portions are HUGE. I would guess close to a pound of meat in the large subs. The people who work there are so incredibly nice and helpful. We were staying at a hotel so she made sure to give us lots of paper good and condiments. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. 5 stars for service!

This is a great place to eat and hang out love being there. The food is great the wings r great allow the food is consistent and the staff is great Maryann is such a pleasure to talk to she is such a trip and funny. In you like Philly cheesesteaks you must eat here in Williamsburg. I didn’t realize they were so close to Merchant Square and across from the Williamsburg library. I stopped with a friend today and we both ordered cheesesteaks.
I had eaten at Rick’s in Newport News when I worked there and didn’t realize they moved. Our company ordered sandwiches for meetings and they were always efficient and friendly. I am so glad they are now close to my home and will be bringing my family and friends.

I am currently visiting from new Jersey and I must say this place is amazing. Great price for the portion they give. I had the large cheese steak and just amazing. If lived here I would definitely come here everyday for lunch.

My second time here, I had the shrimp po’ boy. In my last review I mentioned that the construction of the cheesesteak was a bit sloppy; that was a bit of an understatement. The strange set-​up of the sandwich was even more noticeable with the po’ boy, which was impossible to eat without a fork. For the gratuitous amount of shrimp in the sandwich, the bread was oddly shaped and too small, so that it was hard to eat both components at the same time, i.e. I was eating the shrimp by itself and then the bread with the minimal shrimp left over. The sauce on the po’ boy was also lackluster, a mustard-​based (and not much else) sauce that left a lot to be desired.

Wow, this was a good cheesesteak! This is our first time trying this place and we will be back. There is a good size parking lot for the Triangle shopping center which was a surprise and a plus. The restaurant was very clean and had a lot of tables. I ordered a foot long cheese steak with onions, mushrooms, hot peppers and lettuce/​tomato. While it cooked I was talking with a very nice owner or worker so the staff are really friendly. My food came out very quickly and it was the best cheese steak I have had in a very long while. Definetly a good place to try while visiting Williamsburg!

A lot of food for your money and the staff are always friendly and fast the cheesesticks are great so is the Maryland cheesesteak and the regular cheesesteak is great as well still haven’t tried the fried cheesecake and the donut holes

This is a MUST STOP for anyone in the area! Staff was fantastic!!! Food will send you to heaven! Even after they closed for holiday hours they let families in because they couldn’t turn away people and didn’t like to see the frowns. That’s dedication if you ask me. My children, who are always eating and looking for the next snack, left full. There was even some food left in the baskets because the portions are so big. My family of 4 could have had only 1 small size basket of fries for all of us. Real fresh bacon on the fries not that bacon bit junk. Best cheese steak and chicken cheese steak– hands down! I know everyone loves good bread and Ricks has the moistest, perfect chewy-​ness that you want for a cheese steak. My bottom line is — I’m a girl who likes food and I’ll make a stop here every time I can!

On a cold rainy day we stopped in for some cheap eats and warm seats. We were greeted promptly and the staff was super friendly. The turkey Reuben was great, the Buffalo cheese steak was a great taste. The wings were awesomeness. Huge portions and nicely coupled and seasoned. A great place for supper food and reasonable prices. FYI my sub was HUGE!!!

Outstanding!!! We had intended to dine at a nearby restaurant tonight. The only available seating was outside, so we wandered around Merchant’s Square and found Rick’s Cheesesteaks. It was our lucky night! The server was so kind and helpful, and the food was phenomenal. We had the Bacon Cheesesteak and the portions were so large, we had to take half home. Wonderful food and excellent service!

This place was one of the highlights of our trip! We can in from out of town and was looking for somewhere causal to grab some lunch. Found Rick’s on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot. Boy am I glad we did!
We walked in and was immediately greeted with a happy hello and was told we could sit anywhere we liked. Waitress was sublime! She was VERY familiar with everything on the menu and had a great happy demeanor.
We had two cheesesteaks and an order of cheese fries and onion rings. Holy portions! They were huge! Definitely just get smalls since we had a hard time getting even close to finishing them.
Very decently priced. Low key. Best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had and amazing customer service!
If you don’t stop here while in Williamsburg you will sorely miss out!
Highly recommend! We would even make a trip into town just to eat here!

How can I preface this place. I grew up in the Trenton, NJ area and so Philly was only ever about 40 minutes from me. I had the PLEASURE of knowing what a cheesesteak is supposed to be like.
This place NAILS IT! EVERY TIME! Rick’s has the right products and the right consistency to accurately claim to be a Philly Cheesesteak place.
Why has Triple D not come out here to see how awesome it is to have a Philly Cheesesteak place smack in the middle of an 18^th century American city! Crimes against Foodmanity!
Food: Ok, so yes, the cheese steak nails it every time here, but I want to talk about bacon. Specifically bacon, jalapeño cheese fries. HOLY CRAP! The portions here are huge, so when you purchase your food, realize you may have it for a couple nights worth of a meal.
Service: If they owners and the people who work there got any better at service, they’d have to start doing magic tricks to up their game. The staff is friendly, but friendly is an understatement. How about awkwardly kind. That’s better. They bring you into the family.
Atmosphere: So, this gets me. It’s this really odd mingling of ‘50s diner and military helicopters. Since I love both things… I’m good.
Overall: If you have not been here, or if you think you know a good Philly cheesesteak, come here to enjoy, or to get schooled in the art.

Wonderful food — huge proportions when you get the «regular» size. Buffalo chicken highly recommended.
Chili is good too — spicy but great flavor. Don’t let the outside fool you. Great place awesome price!

Holy crap this place is amazing!!! Cheese Steaks are the best that I have ever had and the spicy garlic wings are worth the trip as well. Don’t miss out on this place!

I went to Williamsburg for a timeshare presentation. The salesman recommended Rick’s after I asked for a burger joint. I’m soooooo glad I took his advice. They sell cheesesteaks + a few other items. My fiancé and I had the Maryland cheesesteaks. His had chicken and mine had beef. We spilt an order of cheese fries that were pretty awesome (not sliced cheese but cheese sauce). Everything was good, hot and fresh. The portions are huge but what really stood out was the service. Our server /​co owner was delightful. Awesome service makes it easy to digest good food. I can’t wait to go back!

Now that’s what I’m talking about! My girlfriend and I split a large cheesesteak with mushrooms, onions and provalone on an amarosa hogie roll. It was the real deal-​loaded with juicy steak, perfectly seasoned. It doesn’t get much better than this! Highly recommended!

Delicious food & great service! I have been looking for a great cheesesteak place in the Hampton Roads and I finally found one! The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. They were hospitable and came to our table multiple times to check on us. The cheesesteaks were packed full of meat. Mushrooms & onions were cooked in by request. The waiter mentioned the large steak and cheese had one pound of meat on it! My husband’s only complaint is that he wished his cheesesteak had more cheese on it. We also got the jalapeño, bacon, cheese fries. They were fantastic! Crunchy fries covered with lots of cheese and real bacon. This place is about 10 minutes from the outlets so definitely check them out next time you’re in the area.

Rick’s has the best Cheese Steaks in Hampton Roads and can legitimately contest any cheese steak spot in Philly (the fat guy here made sure to go on a cheese steak tour when I was up there).
I must admit I was a little skeptical about this particular location because sometimes businesses stretch themselves too thin and one of the things that suffer most is the quality of service and food. But they did not skip a beat at all. In fact, I thought it was a tad bit better. I am excited and looking forward to trying the new menu item «The Abomination», it’s a burger with a cheese steak on top (fat kid in me says «Get in my belly!!», the biggest loser in me says «Get behind me Satan!!»).
Service here is still exceptional and the food is still great. This time around I tried the Chicken Cheese Steak (always feels weird saying that) and it was smack yo mama good. One of the highlights of this visit was the server told me it was going to take a little bit longer for my sandwich to come out because she sent it back to get more meet added because it was skimpy. «My man!!!» *Denzel voice* I’m definitely coming back for these affordable and delicious sandwiches, well worth the trip to this side of the water.
