I decided to check this place out one day… well now I go all the time. EVERYTHING IS home made fresh!!! Best biscuits I’ve ever had! (Don’t tell my grandmother I said that!!) I get the chicken and waffles regularly and can’t get enough. The staff is a family… litterally! It’s Jackie and her daughters. And they make you feel like part of the family. I can’t say enough good things about this place because I can’t get enough of it!!! I’m on a diet right now because I need to pass a pt test for the national guard in a month and the one thing I’m looking forward too is eating at Jackie’s the night I get back from my test!!! My grandmother is from Texas and I’ll tell you (but don’t tell her) that this is some of the best soul/southern food I’ve ever had!!! Don’t miss out! I almost did. The inside is small but it’s comfortable and cozy. Give it a shot!!!

Don’t fall for the four star rating like I did, it’s more like a one. I gave it a one only for the polite server… that’s it. We sat down and quickly seated ourselves. Our orders was taken, including our drinks. We patiently waited for over an hour and our food was still not done. The place quickly started to fill after we got there. We lost our patients when a table who sat down a half hour after we did got their food before we did, in front of two other tables as well. So we got up and told our server we were leaving, and would pay for our drinks. They declined to charge us for our drinks and apologize. (which also goes into the one star grade.) Those two other tables also got up and left disappointed.

Food is amazing…
Make plans as the wait was long. Bring a book. I dont think I would bring little kids here as they might get bored after the long wait times.
Otherwise, A+ for food!

best sandwich I’ve ever had! meat was cooked to perfection with all the right seasonings, the vegetables are THE best. its cool how the menus are so flexible and the prices are super reasonable especially for the amount they give, the staff is very kind and funny LOVE ‘EM
*also our waiting time was only about 10 – 15 minutes ;)

Menu is basic, with little explanation. Don’t be fooled. The food is authentic, scratch-made, and delicious. After you order, no matter what you order, the biscuits come out… big, warm, and fluffy. Then the food comes. I had the fried chicken, and my companion had the oxtail. Mine was great, his was outstanding, .accompanied by fantastic collard greens. Service was quick and friendly; the restaurant itself is pleasant and very clean. We’ll be back… soon!

People were nice. Food looked and smelled great. But waiting an hour for pancakes is completely unacceptable. We never got our order so we offered to pay for the coffee and left.

Excellent chicken & waffles. My mom & aunt say the fish was really good. The complimentary biscuits are really good.
Cool décor. Food is cooked to order, not sitting around under heat lamps.
