Knee Center of Wny

A couple years ago, I wanted to have a check up on my twice-​repaired bad knee, its misbehaving wonky partner knee, and needed to get new prescriptive knee braces for working out. I also had a rare issue that needed surgical correction on my heel bone. All my issues originally happened in High School, and I grew up in the southern tier. Therefore, I couldn’t go back to my operating surgeon in Erie, PA. So, I was on the lookout for someone to help me out.
The nurse practitioner at my general practitioner’s office recommended Dr. Parentis and the Knee Center of WNY to me. Later speaking with a good friend, her friend had her knee operated on by Dr. Parentis and really liked him. So, I was walking in with high expectations and thankfully, they were met!
The staff was all very nice and check in was easy. They directed me to their website for the patient forms so I did not have to fill them out when I got there. I was quickly taken back to an exam room. Dr. Parentis was the first one I saw and I was blown away by his bedside manor. Even though he never operated on me, he took a complete history and did an exam on my knees. He listened attentively, but was super easy going and friendly. He said that since I was here, he would recommend some x-​rays on my knees as well as my foot which I was not expecting, but was happy to get since I hadn’t see an orthopedic in about 5 – 6 yrs. The tech was in my room within 5 minutes and quickly took care of multiple x-​rays in a prompt and professional manner.
After the x-​rays were developed, Dr. Parentis came back in and went over all of them with me. He was happy to give me a prescription for both of my knee braces and recommended where to get them from. He welcomed me to come back at anytime if my knees or foot gave me any issues. Knowing how some doctors can be with patients they did not do «the work» on, I can’t tell you how relieved I was at the professional care Dr. Parentis provided. Big fan of Dr. Stube and the Knee Center. They did great work on my knee back in 2003. When I hurt my other knee, there was not any question of where I wanted to go to have this one looked at.
