Excellent food! The hot sauce is VERY good. Great service. In my opinion, it is as good as one of my favorite mexican restaurants in Dallas area. Well kept building with ample parking and nice landscaping in front. Will definitely go again!!!

I love their chips and salsa. Food is delicious! Personally I love the steak fajita enchilada and sopapilla with honey(: They are busy but staying on top of our drinks and everything. I’ve noticed many times the waiters helping each other out and cleaning each others tables. They are nicely ran and very polite. Keep up the good work.

I love their queso and fried Avacado. Though I wish their drinks were better and the servers knee what they were doing. Or at least moved faster.

Decent food, inattentive service(they were busy), fajitas a huge disappointment. Chicken ones were dry and tasteless; beef ones had an unpleasant whang. My guess is they were a frozen restaurant-supply version. Good fajitas are not difficult. You just have to care about what you serve. Buy fresh, marinate it yourself. Your customers will thank you.

We heard good things. Ordered the #121. 2 cheese enchiladas topped with steak fajitas!!! Sounds awesome right? Well we also wanted to add shrimp so we would have shrimp and steak fajitas on top of 2 cheese enchiladas!!! Well, what came out was 2 patio dinner, ya know, the frozen Mexican dinners at the grocery, enchiladas, topped with about 10 pieces of ¼ inch cubed steak. It was like they chopped up a small handful of meat and literally threw it on top of the horrible cheese enchiladas. Ohh, and they charged us $ 2.25 per shrimp. DONTGO. So we got 12 shrimp which were $ 27, plus the $ 10ish per order of the«fajita on top of cheese enchiladas» plate… $ 27 for 12 shrimp!!! $ 27!!! The food is exactly like the frozen Mexican dinners at the grocery

Couple months later: Take it all back: Not going back. Fri nite. getting steadily busier. Service friendly but slow. Horrible food #121: 2 cheese enchiladas«topped with beef fajitas» Nope: 2 were there but«fajitas» were 123/8″ dry steak cubes… nothing else… with half a cup of american cheese sauce. Rejected & ordered 2 beef enchildas to go(for escape). Ate half and tossed the rest at home. American cheese sauce is NOT the common denominator… the bedrock… the root… of semi-authentic Mexican food. They don’t need me. Good.

I’m impressed, plain and simple. I’ll admit it, my expectations were low at first glance. With an overuse of window tint and a surprisingly empty parking lot on a Sunday evening, I wasn’t expecting much from this Los Pericos(I’ve frequented the Huntsville doppelgänger often). Upon entering the bar, I knew this place was run like a well oiled machine. An immaculate and highly organized bar welcomed me, as did a trio of servers rolling silverware while a hotly contested Barcelona v. Madrid Liga match raged on behind them. I was greeted with a smile and a rather strong, yet delicious, frozen, strawberry margarita. After taking my time on the menu, I ordered the fajitas, a true test of any TexMex restaurant’s mettle. They were fantastic. Grilled to perfection and marinated in the what I’m assuming was the basting sauce of the gods. The onions, which were obviously tossed in with the meat at exactly the right time, delicately balanced against the carne asada, adding another robust flavor to the palette. Daringly hot and freshly diced jalapeños from the kitchen topped everything off with a perfect spice. For a single serving fajita plate, the portion was more than generous. The rice and beans, however, were overwhelmingly standard. This restaurants only average mark in an otherwise perfect score. AIl in all, it was a perfectly pleasant experience. If you’re rambling through this sleepy and charming town, I would highly recommend a visit. It will be worth your time.

Have loved going here for years. However within the last few months, service and food have to say the least have gone down hill. Found a hair in my food month ago. Then my friend found a hair in hers today. Price on food and drink increasing, size of food and drink decreasing. Never see manager out checking on patrons. No real appology, no hope you return, Mangager just said and I quote«sometimes that happens.»

Good food, quick service, great atmosphere. The salsa is pretty terrible, tasted like watery spaghetti sauce…

Fast service, loud, fast food like, fake quacamole in my opinion. My boyfriend got sick one nite. We have stopped eating here. We rather drive a few extra miles to get better food sorry.

For a busy Friday night, we were seated almost immediately. We got a seat off in the corner which was also a pleasant surprise — the illusion of a bit more privacy in a crowded restaurant. Lots of choices on the menu. Not sure what their«specialty» is supposed to be, but I went with chicken tacos, a margarita, and we all shared in chips and queso — a safe bet for any Mexican place. Food was delicious, service was so so. Margarita was pretty weak. I’m a serious light weight but the marg here didn’t really have any effect on me and didn’t taste too strong either. Overall, pretty good place to get Mexican food if you’re stopping in good ol’ Willis, Texas.

Service on the last 3 Thursday nights has been absolutely terrible — we didn’t even go last night for our regular weekly visit. All 3 times, someone has come to take our drink order, deliver drinks and take food order, and then they don’t come back. Nobody asks us if we want another round, we’ve had to flag down the manager to get waters refilled and to get the checks. The time before last, my order was wrong, but there was nobody to flag down to tell — all the waitstaff was in the bar, not watching their tables. We have been coming here pretty much weekly for over a year. Pretty disappointing to be regulars and treated like this. Guess we’ll be going to Conroe for Mexican from now on…

It’s the salsa! The salsa is what keeps me coming back for more. The food is pretty good. I usually order the enchiladas or fajitas. Their drinks are usually strong, but thats not a complaint! It’s a favorite of mine when it comes to Mexican food in the area. This location is the original one, but there’s now one in Huntsville. They’re both gooooood.

If you also take life with a grain of salt, a slice of lime, and a shot of tequila — then Los Pericos may be just right! I met up with a friend on a random Monday night to try out their Margarita’s and have a quick bite. It was unexpectedly busy, but luckily we were seated right away. It’s always a good sign to see lots of patrons on a traditionally slow week night. Good– The staff is super friendly and the chips and salsa better than most Mexican restaurants. When you look around the location of the restaurant near downtown Willis isn’t that great, but don’t let that discourage you from walking in this festive establishment. It has your typical brightly painted walls, but seems sparsely decorated compared to other local Mexican restaurants. We both ordered a round of Margaritas. She tried the frozen and I went on the rocks. Hers was definitely more potent than mine. They are known for making fairly strong ritas so BEWARE! Their strength is either a good thing or bad thing depending on how you look at it. haha If you want to hear my Rita Report check out my video here. After mulling over the extensive menu of standard south of the border fare we both decided on fajitas. I went for the pollo y poblano and she the regular pollo. We both agreed that while the fajitas were decent the side dishes were sparse and that was kinda disappointing as their rice is very tasty. Bad– The queso left me wanting… wishing we were at Pappasitos. They don’t give you near enough guac, pico, rice or beans. We both remarked on how normally there is so much extra rice to take home, but not here. Ugly– Nothing to report while I enjoyed the meal it certainly has plenty of competition in this area. I’d probably only go back for happy hour. wink wink

Pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, lots of choices, quick service, very easy on the wallet. I like that you can get a dinner combo platter with several items + rice and beans for $ 6. You can tell by the enormous parking lot and how many cars there are that this is a local favorite. I love the salsa. I wish I could buy a jar of it. The prices are good, and the portions/platters are well-rounded and sufficient, but not excessive. I felt nicely filled but not stuffed. I like that.
