Ok so after playing a few courses in the area I can give Williston the review it deserves. This is a good course. And by good course, I mean one that is very tough, beautifully maintained, and priced at a value for the quality of the golf experience. I have played this course twice in late June, one mid-week round and once during the weekend. I will warn the weekend round was slower(4:45), but that is to be expected for a popular course during the middle of summer. Now onto the course itself, as I said before this is a tough but fun challenge. You are rewarded for hitting the fairway, but are certainly punished if your tee shot is errant… and o boy was I punished. Another fun aspect of the course is the greens feature challenging unjulation with a couple of putts that flew right off, even though I thought the ball was«lightly» struck. Next let’s talk price, 18 holes on a weekend with a cart ran roughly $ 55. Yes, this is not cheap… but it is priced on par with most courses in the area. Considering the experience, it was good value for them money. If I were being über critical(which let’s face it I’m on Unilocal so I obviously am), I would say the food and snack area could use some menu improvements to really bump this course up to five stars. The lunch we ordered midround, chicken sandwich and a club sandwich, was average and I could tell food was an afterthought at this course. That small negative aside, I can say if you are looking for a good experience in the area, or a place to play while on holiday in Stowe, look no further than the Williston Golf Club

Great price on a nice course. Best hot dog bar in the world.
