Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant

Always good food but also always short on wait staff. Singapore Noodles are a must. Also the Emperors Chicken and the Po Po Platter are great if you want to slow down the experience.

Great price, service is always pleasant, and the food is fantastic, highly recommend and will return again and again.

Excellent food and service at a great price. BUT, the next day, I was sick from there food. I have a food poisoning, I see my Doctor that some day, and he said, I have food poisoning. and he gave me some medicine.

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in town. The quality is really good and they always seem to short themselves on the price. My recommendation is to not go when they are super busy. That is the only time my service and good quality was sub-​par.

I stopped in at Golden Palace because I love Chinese food and picked this place because it wasn’t a buffet. I ordered the crab rangoons to start and have to say they were a little disappointing. The wrapping was a little too chewy rather than the crunchy I was hoping for.
Next, my meal came with some soup and I had to order the egg drop soup because the hot and sour had pork it in. I usually find egg drop soup to be a little bland and this occasion was no different.
Now I know you’re probably asking why I gave this place 3 stars but the actual entrée made up for the sub-​par appetizers. I ordered the first item listed under specialties because it was named after the restaurant. It came with beef, scallops, and shrimp which was an interesting combo but I liked it. I ended up having a lot left over since I’d ordered an appetizer and had soup. I ate the leftovers the next day and they tasted even better. I did like the fact that it wasn’t as salty as other Chinese food restaurants I’ve visited.
The restaurant was decently packed when I was there and there was only one guy doing the serving. You’d think that would make for poor service but the guy actually did a great job. I was impressed! If half stars were an option, I would have bumped it up to 3.5 since the service was so good.
I was only in town for a few days so I didn’t have a chance to try any of the other local Asian restaurants but I was assured that I’d picked the best one in town.
