Very nice staff, awesome tasting coffee and the inside is welcoming and relaxing. This is my favorite local coffee joint.

I visit The Goodness every time I’m back in the Willmar area. This non-franchise shop is one to truly strive for quality in all of their products. They have a very slick industrial feel reminiscent to a few shops in the metro area. They put less emphasis on what they can sell on their walls(like other shops in the area), and more emphasis on why you are there in the first place: coffee. They serve Peace Coffee, which is a great indication that they take their coffee seriously. They know how to pull their shots, they know how to make a good latte. Their drip coffee is always hot if you are in a hurry. Otherwise, they also know how to do a great pour over if you have a few minutes. If you are into syrups and sweeteners in your drinks, they use the higher quality brands for such drinks as well. As far as food, they have a nice selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. They often work with local farmers and strive to keep a lot of the menu as local as possible. They also have plenty of live acts going through their doors. It’s not uncommon that they will have a band or two play on the weekends. Over all, whether you live in Willmar or if you are visiting, it’s definitely worth the trip every time!

I will say that there overall everything has continued to improve since opening. The coffee is good, the food is good, the atmosphere is good. My favorite hang in town.

Nice ambience but my «Cobb Salad» was pretty disappointing. First, it was not a Cobb salad. It was lettuce, cherry tomatoes, chopped lunch meat ham, hard-boiled eggs, and sliced cucumbers served with a packet of low quality croutons and a packet of low-quality dressing. No chicken, no bacon, no blue cheese, no olives, no avocado. I thought at first that they must have served me the wrong salad, then looked at the menu and realized that their version of a Cobb salad just does not resemble an actual Cobb salad. I acknowledge that the customer has a responsibility to read the menu, but this irked me. Why call it a Cobb salad if it’s not a Cobb salad? I would have forgiven this transgression if what was served to me had tasted good. But it didn’t. The combination of flavors and aromas was kind of icky. I wanted to like this place because it has a nice ambience, and I like to see small businesses thrive in Wilmar. I might give them a try for their coffee, but I doubt I’ll be back for lunch.
