While I am still on a mission to find my go to Chinese restaurant in Wilmington, China House is satisfying my taste buds. My most recent order was the Singapore mei fun. On the menu it does mention that they make it with curry. No arguments here… I am a fan of curry. I was surprised once I got home to find that they used chicken, shrimp and pork in it. Every other time I have ordered that somewhere else it came with beef. Still no arguments… It was a big platter, ate a plate full for dinner and had enough for dinner the next night. Flavor was very good, will order this dish again. So China House, I give you three stars for now. Will visit again and you just may become my go to spot.

The service was good and the staff fast and friendly. Orange flavor chicken was good, one of the better I have had with a good crisp crust and sauce that actually had some orange flavor.
Unfortunately the disappointment was the fried rice. The flavor was good with a healthy dose of roast pork. Much better then many other places I have been to in Delaware. However, the rice grains were soft and somewhat mushy. The rice was overcooked which lead to the poor rating. If a chinese restaurant can’t make good rice I can not in good consciousness give it a great rating.
Perhaps it was just an off day, I will try to return at some point to see if the rice is a usual thing or was just a fluke.
