This place has the best carne asada burrito in the world. Very flavorful and it gets better as you eat it because the juices start to pool in the bottom. The last bite is an explosion of flavor. Their marinade is a secret recipe and it is the best. The beans and rice are great too. I don’t know why this place hasn’t been on Food Network yet.

One of the best Mexican Food places for Burritos. I had an asada and jones burrito. I always enjoy them. This place is small and located in a descent place. I wish it were open later. It is best to order ahead of time if you are running short on time. The food is definitely worth the wait.

This place is really good but the only thing i hate is special privileges… if you go it take 25 mins for a wet burrito so sad … + when you order dont let it be a person they know because it would take ever longer to get your food

Best tasting carne Asada burrito on the planet I just wish they were bigger. Can’t go wrong with a jones burrito either but the carne Asada will rock your world.

Isaacs yum. Been coming here since high school. The carne asada burrito is to die for! Super tender & so flavorful. The hubbs is a fan of the dispatch burrito which is also great. We also always get a side of the chile verde sauce(the warm one) ahh so good! Also if possible try calling in ahead of time. Wait time can be kinda long but worth the wait.

Came here for a breakfast burrito but that didn’t happened. I guess We came in late because they ran out of bacon. So what’s a breakfast burrito without bacon? and who runs out of bacon! I love me so bacon! So I decided to order a red chile burrito which was delightful. The quesadilla my daughter order it was too greasy it wasn’t cut all the way, like the way other places cut it. I guess Isaac’s have there unique style in cutting there quesadillas. To me that’s not a big issue. The big issue here was the dark skinned girl that attended us had a big attitude. I guess she hates her job or she didn’t get any last night or maybe she was having a bad day. But hey we all our humans and have our days. So girl leave that attitude home. We are hungry and just want our appetite to be fulfilled. The other light skin girl heavy set she was just on her phone and not helping the dark skinned girl she was just a distraction to her. I think if your not there to help run the place than you should just stay home. I gotta give it to the dark skinned girl because she was doing her job just that she had a not welcoming attitude. Place is on point just gets too crowded. The long wait was terrible. Next time I will just order through the phone to avoid the lines and the attitudes. That’s if I am craving the red chile burrito cause other than that I’ll just stick with Montoyas. They know how to do it.

This place is definitely a staple in the harbor area. Breakfast and lunch burritos are great! The dispatch and carne asana are my favorites. Reminds me of my grandmas cooking!

What a great find. I was in town on vacation and stumbled upon this gem. This is a family-owned joint with a laid back vibe and a clear emphasis on customer service. Very caring staff who were very accommodating throughout the process. The food was excellent. The carne asada was absolutely delectable. I would highly recommend. Make your way over here and you will not be disappointed.

Beings that I work in the Long Beach Harbor, you get to know where people in the area go(refinery workers, Longshoreman etc) and one of the favorites that I found years ago, is Isaac’s Café. They have the best breakfast burritos around. I usually get the«Dispatch» burrito. Eggs, beans, rice, bacon and avocado, if I’m feeling froggy, I’ll add some carne asada to it as well. They put the perfect balance of ingredients which is what I love, so many places will put way too much rice or beans or potatoes etc, but not at Isaac’s, it’s all just the right amount for one outstanding burrito. Every single thing I’ve had there over the past 20+ years has been super delicious and consistent as well. If you’re in the area and you want an awesome burrito, Isaac’s is the place to go.

The people working at Isaac’s Café were very nice. The food was good. The ingredients were of high quality and they didn’t skimp on portions. Also, they give a lot of avocado in their burritos, which I really like. The only downside is the long wait(even though there were only 2 patrons there). The location is definitely in the ghetto.

Hands down, the best carne asada burrito I have ever eaten. I always add avocado, and then just eat the inside with a fork since I can’t have the flour tortilla. I sometimes just buy one, bring it home and throw the insides on a salad. Amazing! Sooooo good!

This is a typical hold the wall burrito place in Wilmington California. I went here with a lot of coworkers and I got a carne asada burrito. The burrito is simple but has great flavor. But wait can be long if you don’t preorder so watch out for that. Do not expect more than a simple burrito or simple carne asada plate and a good flavor but it has no extra toppings or extra menu items.

I came here with my co-workers after a big job in the morning and called ahead, just to be sure we got a table for all of us. As I walked in, I saw a line of people waiting to order; no bueno! However, the pretty girl behind the counter remembers the guy who placed our reservation, and everything started to work out. The Carne Asado Plate and Jones Burrito are the recommended choices, and by far the most authentic Mexican food in the area. If it wasn’t for the lack of parking, I would rate it a 5 star lunch. Did I mention they have breakfast also? You have to get here early, as I tried to order a Machaca burrito, but was too late! All in all, their sauces and meats are 100% right on and their green sauce is extremely tasty on any burrito.

Went in today for my first time. 100% recommended! VERY satisfied! Will definitely make the drive back from Paramount again and again! Very first thing I noticed when I walked in was the fact that they were playing Rebelution and SOJA! Great music gave me high hopes about great food and they did not disappoint. High five to the tunes for sure! I ordered the Jones burrito for about $ 7 bucks plus a canned soda for $ 1.50. Order was done in less than 5 minutes. Despite how quickly it was given to us, the food was hot and obviously fresh. It’s served on paper plates, wrapped in wax-like paper. Plain and simple. The burrito was ABSOLUTEHEAVEN! It was basically a barbacoa type burrito. The flour tortilla was warm, soft and buttery. Possibly even handmade, it was that good. The meat was super juicy, soft and tender… It had a wonderful color to it. The broth/sauce was perfect: not too watery, not too thick, but enough to drip out of the tortilla if you missed a bite. It wasn’t too salty or too bland. Seasoned to perfection. They also included tons of melted cheese which gave it all a great consistency and helped hold everything together. My favorite part of it was the fresh, ripe avocados that are sliced into it. Avocados? Is this for real? Yes! Overall, I didn’t feel like I needed to add any salt or salsas to my food. It was perfect and delicious. I was blown away. They have restrooms available to customers. They also serve breakfast items. Their menu is very straight forward. They’re a little tricky to find(if you’re near the Food 4 Less, you’re less than half a block away) but well worth the search. Plenty of parking. Staff was great. Good service. No over the top«fake» customer service. Real food from real people. It’s no surprise they’ve been around for YEARS! Check them out!

At first i couldn’t find the place because its in such a small place but the second time around i was able to see it. LOL My mom and i heard that this place was delicious and i also read the reviews on here so we decided to give it a try. It wasn’t full when we arrived and the young lady who was very nice asked us if it was our first time and we said yes so she grabbed a paper plate and served us some samples to see what we wanted exactly. The chile verde was tender could use a little more flavor but it was good, the carne asada was good. Overall the samples were good. I ordered the half chile verde and half asada and my mom ordered the asada burrito. When you receive your food its on paper plates(i don’t mind that at all) and we sat down took a first bite and it was good the asada was very tasty, i asked for some salsa verde because thats how i love my burritos BUT the salsa was very very watery, it had no flavor what so ever not even spicy at all so i didnt like it. After taking a few more bites of the burrito of half chile verde and half asada it started to taste bland. The burritos only have meat no beans no rice and i personally like them with rice, beans, meat, salsa, onion and cilantro. The burrito had cilantro and onion but because the salsa was lacking and no beans or rice i didnt like it. My moms asada burrito was ok just meat just to be clear the meat is good but overall burrito was ok i didnt really like it.

Came here for lunch after I got a recommendation from a Unilocal friend last night, and not knowing that my husband has brought home food from here. Parking is tough, I think they have a few spaces behind their building, but I didn’t go there. I parked on the street closer to the Food 4 Less store than this restaurant. It was super busy and the entire lunch process took WAY longer than we had anticipated. Lunch during the week day might be out of the question in the future. Since it was so busy, we didn’t get samples, as other Unilocalers have stated. They would have obliged, but we’ll sample them next time when it isn’t during the lunch rush! You order at the counter and go find a seat. When your order number is called, you go collect your food. This is more like the do-it –yourself fast food method, no servers. The food itself is not fast food. It is not ready fast, either! My husband got a Meat Tostada, and it was tasty! Hubby pulled out the chip from beneath the abundance of toppings before it could become soggy. He had asked for an extra tostada chip when he ordered, but it was missing, so he used my second tortilla to eat the rest of his food. I had the Green Plate, which is the Pork Chile Verde with rice & beans. It also came with 2 burrito sized tortillas. I would have liked some cilantro on the plate so I could add it to my bites. I like that they put avocado slices on the plates. The pork was flavorful and tender. The tortillas seem to be made fresh right there in the restaurant and is a nice touch! The green salsa is good, not really much of a kick to it, but it goes well with the food. I could literally have eaten just the green salsa & tortilla and been happy… don’t tell hubby! We will more than likely be back! The food is good! We just know that lunch time during the week day won’t be a good time to be here. Keep that in mind if you don’t enjoy a lengthy wait for your food and if you are in a hurry.
