I have heard several good things and several bad things about this restaurant, I decided to try for myself… I came in a few days ago and it took several minutes for someone to greet me and sit me at a table. I sat there for probably 10min before my waitress kaylin(I made sure to write her name down) came over to get my drink order… not only did it take her several minutes to bring back my water, her and the other waitresses were gossiping and talking so loudly I literally got caught up with all the drama that had been going on that day. Not only did they not care who heard a single word they said, they used profanity like it was normal, I could not believe how much those girls could care less if there were customers there listening or not. When I finally received my water, I asked kaylin several questions about the menu and it was almost as if she didn’t know the specific details about any of the food in the menu without taking it from me and reading it herself(obviously I could read it by myself) I more or less asked about what was gluten and non, the base of the slaw, a few things about the margaritas and she was completely clueless. Then when she came back she had her back turned to me talking to another table and I’m not sure if she realized but the way she was bent over talking to the other table she had her butt right in my face and with how short her shorts were I literally could see her cheeks hanging out. I was in shock how these girls ran around the restaurant like they were there just to model for everyone. The food was great overall, I can’t complain about that, but I suggest the owner take a look at those servers because they are the ones running it into the ground. I had to get up to go ask for my own napkins and when I walked over there my waitress was shoving her face with food and had to ask someone else to hand me the napkins. To top off everything she even said some nasty things about me as a customer how she didn’t want to deal with me and making fun of what I was wearing… it did hurt my feelings although I usually don’t let that kind of stuff bother me. Those girls must not understand how loud they can talk and how easy it is to hear everything going on back in there server station. I had poor service the whole time and when she finally brought me my bill she said«sorry it took me so long the owner is coming in he’s literally crazy so I had to make sure everything was cleaned up for him so he wouldn’t yell at me, I hate when he comes in here(laughing) he’s so mean to us and is just a perv that we have to deal with all the time» …WHAT!!! very disappointed in my service from her and how she handled herself. I may just stick to k38 if I want to get that kind of food from now on, that girl ruined every bit of experience for me and I would prefer not to be made fun of while I’m trying to give you my business.

This is my favorite Sunday brunch spot. Service here is great, I usually sit at the bar and am immediately greeted with their fresh made salsa and chips. I love their shrimp tacos. Incredible flavors going on. And their Mexican Street corn is delish! I could eat this every day. On Sunday, mimosas are just $ 3. The strawberry margaritas are good here, too. Love this place!

Very extensive menu. Salsa and chips very good. Guacamole not done table side and my homemade is tastier. Margaritas very expensive and not much tequila. Fish tacos(talapia) are very good. Very loud music and poor selection but service is good. Would eat again if choices limited.

Another terrific meal here. I finally got out of my rut and order something new, the Socal Carne quesadilla. It was Amazing. I loved the malt vinegar aoli and the flavors were Great. And you must get the street corn as a side. Glad to have this place in my neighborhood.

After driving past the Forum everyday for the past 3 years I finally decided to stop. Maybe she was having a bad night, but our waitress seemed to be absolutely miserable. The menu was loaded with great choices and decided to try the shrimp street tacos and fish tacos. The food was spot on but the service was mediocre at best.

Their staff is awesome! They put up with my pain in the butt order– which ended up being 3 margaritas… Haha. Food is great, the specials are grand and the atmosphere is a must see! Love this place.

I came here while on a weekend visit with a couple girlfriends and we loved the food and cocktails! We were less than thrilled with the service, unfortunately. We ordered two of the nachos to share — there is some magical cheese sauce on them which is absolutely delicious! You could likely share one between two people, but would need to order a second thing to munch on. We also had the scratch margaritas, and one sangria margarita which was delish. Unfortunately, we had to ask about 4 times(to 3 different servers since ours rarely reappeared) for waters before we actually got them. There also was an issue with the birds rabidly flocking untended food.

Surf themed dive, amazing carne asada tacos and corn cakes, delicious pick de gallo style salsa and free chips. Great experience.

I come here more often than my diet allows, and since I have no self control, I enjoy way too many good items. First. Get a margarita. Add the extra salt, your heart can take it. Second. Get the grater tots. The vinegar-ish aoli and the goodness within them caused the resident foodie within our group to freak out and basically threaten physical harm for not sharing the glorious knowledge about how yummy it is previously. Third. Get a second margarita. And then order something you normally wouldn’t and be surprised and absolutely thrilled when it blows your mind. Tacos? Yes. Burger? If you’re going to be that guy and order a burger at a Mexican place? It’s going to be good anyway. Best thing on the menu in my opinion this week is the golden yeller and that changes every time I get something new. I’m currently inhaling the guacamole, which honestly, isn’t the best I have had here, but it’s still above average.

I will give the food a 4 or 5 but the service wAs abysmal. When our server dropped off our drinks she neglected to ask if we were ready to order. We had to flag down someone else. I feel like if I were 10 – 15 years younger this would have been much different. The food was great! I think however I will stick with the Baja Grill in Porters Neck from this restaurant group.

Came in a little late, not packed and still wait was over 20 mins for food. Place is a cute spot nonetheless and food was good. A lot of bbq infused dishes. Would visit again when in town.

I am not one to give poor reviews but I feel that when something happens that has to do with public safety then it is 100% necessary. Despite claiming to have gluten free options Las Olas ISNOT Celiac safe. My wife has Celiac Disease and we recently went here because of the reviews saying that they have a lot of gluten free options. The wait staff is good and seem to know their stuff when it comes to gluten allergies, etc. However, the kitchen staff is apparently clueless. My wife ordered corn tacos that the waitress recommend as being a good gluten free option. When we got our food we both dug in and after taking her first bite my wife realized that the tortillas had a flour consistency, not corn(if you know anything about CD you know that the damage has already been done even if she was to spit the food out). I then asked the waitress if she knew whether it was a corn tortilla or not but it is very hard to visually distinguish between their flour and corn tortillas especially in restaurant lighting. She took it back to the kitchen and sure enough they had given her flour tortillas. I trust the waitress when she said that she entered corn tortillas into the order so I am by no means placing blame on her. However, for a restaurant to claim to have gluten free options and make a careless mistake like this is terrible. Again, if you know anything about Celiac Disease you understand how big of a deal this is. My wife has now been sick and had head aches for 2 days straight and I can with 100% certainty say that it is because of Las Olas.

My boyfriend and I have been going to Las Olas every Tuesday night for the past 4 months because the fish tacos are so amazing! I’ve tried appetizers, burritos, and quesadillas on other nights and have never been disappointed. The presentation is fantastic with lots of colors and textures! The service is always prompt and very friendly, I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or just drinks with friends. The margarita is a tiny bit too sweet is my only complaint. Regardless, Las Olas is one of my go-to restaurants because it always satisfies!

This quaint little place is underrepresented by the Unilocal pics. It is very tastefully decorated as a sort of cool urban surf restaurant. The bar reminds you of a wave as the many tv’s play surf videos behind it. As I sat I was greeted by a very personal, attractive waitress who behaved as though we new each other. The table behind me requested her table, an she made them feel at home without ever overlooking me. The fish tacos were amazing and very affordable. I will be going again soon.

Casual Tex-Mex. definitely A-OK Ambiance: casual, very casual. The dining space is small and often there is a 10 – 40 minute wait. Also 5 outdoor dining tables with umbrellas for those beautiful, sunny lunches Service: nothing to write home about here, friendly and fast. Bar: full bar available with margaritas and drink specials Food: –Complimentary chips and salsa — the salsa is a nice blended tomato, but a bit too much on the onion –street corn — very delicious and a must try! The corn is grilled and topped with spices and aioli –shrimp taco — the shrimp was cooked perfectly with a nice«pop» of freshness. Again, a bit too much onion –broccoli side — unspecial. The white wine butter flavoring was not there –yellow fin tuna taco — tuna steak cooked to your liking — seared is the way to go — topped with pickled onion and avocados Overall a nice lunch or casual dinner. Would definitely come back

All I can say about my first visit is «Yummy in my tummy!» I lived in Wilmington for six years so on a recent work trip I wanted to try a new place and a friend recommended this restaurant in the Forum(shopping center across from Mayfaire). It’s owned by the same people who own K38 and Tower 7, which are also local Mexican places well known and liked in the area so I knew it was probably a safe bet. I browsed the menu prior to my visit for dinner and saw lots of interesting options, and they have a different special every day. The décor was really pretty, I’m assuming some of it was for the holidays, and it smelled amazing as soon as I walked through the doors. It’s a smaller place(there is outdoor seating when the weather is nice) but wasn’t busy so we got a table right away. My friend and I ordered a variety of things since you can order in smaller portions(like a few ounces of guac and queso) which I really liked. They had some creative tacos, some with pork, shrimp, chicken and you could order one, two, and you got sides as well. So you’ll get plenty to eat for a good price. The Mexican street corn was the bomb. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I wasn’t too impressed with the shrimp taco but the chicken were excellent. Our server sort of acted like she didn’t want to be there but did a good job anyway. That’s really the only bad thing I can say about this place.

Excellent! The Cabo taco was delicious make sure you get the side of tater tots those things were fucking awesome! The Mexican street corn was not good. I make a better cotija cheese and mayo corn on the cob at home. Cowboy chimichanga was huge! Very flavorful and sticks to the theme of Mexican barbecue. The flank steak was delicious and it and had some very good barbecue sauce on it that was sticky and rich and goooood. Although I like the K38 chimichanga better. The want to be margaritas were two sour and they had too much ice in the picture it would’ve been better to be a little more alcohol-ey. I know this sounds picky but since I’m getting them for free I’m going to mention that the chips and salsa were average at best but again their free. The aioli sauce was good but the Mexican ranch was better.
