This place was a pleasant surprise. We made a last minute decision to have a road trip on Christmas day since the weather was so nice. When it was time for lunch, we realised that not many restaurants(including even fast food chains like McDonalds and Wendy’s) are open. Quickly we started calling many restaurants and found that nobody was picking up the phone. Luckily this place was open. We went in with low expectation since there were only a couple of tables occupied. They had buffet but we decided to order from the menu. The food was really good. Everybody in our group was pleased with the taste and the portion size. I would definitely recommend this place, if you want to try Indian food.

Took my mother-in-law here during a visit, and have to say — it was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We arrived during the lunch buffet, and sampled a wide variety of dishes. The quality of the dishes varied between«decent» and«great.» Having choices, and being able to sample different things, was a great opportunity when we weren’t familiar with many of the dishes being served. We sent some friends this way, but their experience was just OK — I’d definitely like to give this place a second try, perhaps during the dinner hour.

Worst experience… The behaviour of the manager is not at all professional. He is very arrogant towards the customers. I will not suggest this to any one.

The food is ok(I’ve had better Indian right in the city of Wilmington). The service is so-so and the prices are high for what you get.

The only place on this earth that does not serve rayata with Biriyani… They ask you to pay extra for that. And this is after the fact that they have one of the most expensive Biriyani in this town. I will think twice before visiting this place.

We had Nick & Team cater food to our party again and it was a success again! This was the first time we went with Mexican food and we were very impressed with the food. I would definitely recommend them to cater your event and even cater Mexican food.

This review is for the lunch buffet — probably worst buffet i ever had. Food did not look appetizing at all. I literally ate only a butter nan in the buffet.

This is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. It’s great to go with a group of people so you can share a couple of dishes. They have also easily accommodated my need for gluten free food. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

This was my first time trying Indian food and I was a little apprehensive coming in. We went with two of our friends who have been here many times and raved about the food. For starters we had the meat samosa and chicken pakora. Both were very good and didn’t really strike me as «Indian cuisine». The chicken pakora tasted like normal fried chicken bites. For our entrees we had the chicken curry, chicken tikka, chicken korma, and chicken bhagari. The chicken curry was excellent. The waiter was very informative and let us decide our spice level with a range of 1 – 10. I went with 5 to be on the safe side, but it wasn’t really spicy enough. I will go 8 the next time I come. The chicken korma was also really good. It had a rich cream sauce that was sweet. The next time I come here, I will get that. The chicken tikka was very flavorful as well, but was not my cup of tea. We were too full to try dessert, so maybe next time. I will definitely return.

The food there is ok, but the owner is a very horrible person with a very bad manner, that he insist denied the fact he double charged my credit card. I told him that I already talked with my bank to confirm while he said«screwed your bank, I don’t trust your bank at all. I didn’t changer that twice…» I offered that I could show the evidence from my bank account bill to prove that he did charged me twice and he said«I don’t wanna see anything from the bank, that has nothing to do with me.» I have never seen any people in service area will say things like that or any people who has manner to talk with other people that rude… Just be careful when you pay there.

Usually go there for their lunch buffet. I would recommend going on weekends as there is a bigger and better selection in terms of food. Sometimes the naan is microwaved which is the only downside. Lunch buffet including tip comes out to ~15 $.

I wanted to host a family party here so i called them, the manager/owner was so arrogant and unresponsive. He didnt bother to call me back inspite of me calling him and his restaurant three times. Now i can understand what kind of service i would if i go there. I would never go there or recommend to anybody.

Service was excellent, though a little slower than I would have like. Atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Food was great! For our appetizer we had the Tandoori Mixed grill… it was very tasty! My wife had Chicken Mumtali and I had Shrimp Nargisi… Both dishes were excellent and we were full… at least I was

We had a horrible experience because of cheap practices. 1. Naan(Indian bread) had smell of oil used light the charcoal. When asked to replace those waiter didn’t show any courtesy for the mistake 2. For a party to two, they had charged the gratuity on the bill implicitly without telling us. I paid an 18% tip on the top of it. Who charges a gratuity for a party of two and that too on a lunch buffet? I know this practice is fine for a party of 5 or more. Guys, you can milk smart customers once, but anyone who I know personally is not returning back.

Very good chicken chili. I like spicy food so I was not sure what level of spice to get. The server suggested I go with medium and if I needed more they could spice it up more. I’m glad I did this since the medium was very spicy which was just right for me. Over all I was very happy with all the food and service. I plan on coming back for the lunch buffet.

Late Saturday night dinner and first time here. Arrived and there was maybe only 3 other occupied tables in the mostly empty restaurant. My friend and I haven’t had Indian food for a while so we wanted to try anything and everything on the menu! We finally settled on the dinner for two because it came with a sampler of everything(soup, appetizers, breads, tea/coffee, dessert). There were three«dinner for two» options and we chose the one where the main course was tandoori chicken and lamb kabob. We were expecting a sampler plate or something out of this whole meal since the price for the meal was equivalent of ordering 1 appetizer and 1 entrée each but we ended up getting a 6 course meal complete with appetizers and dessert! HOLYCOW! IT. WAS. SO. MUCH. FOOD. First for the soup, we both requested the chicken soup, only chicken soup on the menu – I’m not even going to bother with the Indian dish names because I don’t remember. They gave a nice portion of soup for both of us and was filled with little bite-sized juicy chicken pieces and corn. The broth itself was sour and peppery and tasted like a cross between egg drop soup(only without the egg) and hot and sour soup. It was something I was not expecting to but I liked it. After soup we asked for our teas – although the waiter seemed confused that we requested it then. We were expecting regular lipton tea or something but it turned out to be chai with milk that came out in these cute potion jar-like carafes. I think maybe it’s tea reserved for after dinner? Whatever, we drank it while we ate our food. Next came a basket filled with 2 meat samosas, fried spinach and potato fritters, and some crispy cracker/waffle things that reminded me of Italian pizzelle but thinner and mushroomy. There were two sauces, a sweet tamarind sauce and a green cilantro sauce – again, no idea what they are called but pretty standard stuff – to go with samosas and fritters. We weren’t even finished with our appetizers when the main course(s) came out: a basket of naan/bread, basmati rice, chicken tikka masala, some lentil dish, and the impressive looking chicken tandoor and lamb kabob sizzling on an iron plate! At this point, we realized we ordered WAYTOOMUCH food, and there was no way we could finish it all because the main course had just arrived and we were already starting to get full! We tried our main course dishes and each was delicious! I don’t even normally like lentils or chicken tikka masala and they were both good! The chicken tikka masala I’ve had at other Indian restaurants(mostly at Indian buffets) were always too sweet, ketchup/tomato-paste-tasting, and extremely greasy. The chicken tikka here wasn’t really sweet and had just the right amount of buttery flavor. While we were picking at our food, the waiter came over and gave us ANOTHER basket of roti bread. That was when we gave up and was like«LET’S BOXALLTHIS»…and then remembered there was still dessert! UGH! For dessert, the waiter told us there was the choice of milk balls or Indian ice cream. Our waiter’s English wasn’t too good, and he made us think there were two flavors of ice cream, coffee and pistachio. I picked pistachio and my friend picked coffee but then the waiter said we could only get one dessert between the two of us. We found it strange that so far the meal had came with two servings of everything(two teas, two soups, two samosas), but there was only one dessert to share between the both of us? Since we were so full, we were just going to settle on sharing a pistachio ice cream, but he said he would get something worked out and get a second one for us on the house. That was nice of him. The strange thing was when they came, the two ice creams tasted the SAME and both had pistachios. As it turns out, the ice cream is called«kulfi»(we thought the waiter had said«coffee» as in coffee flavored ice cream) and it had pistachios in it. In the end, we felt like we made a fuss over the dessert for nothing and probably made ourselves looked like greedy fat-asses asking for two ice creams – all because we couldn’t understand our waiter! In fact, the wait staff was strange and couldn’t understand what we wanted and vice versa. They kept trying to clear our plates even when we weren’t done with them. I think they wanted to present the meal course by course and wanted to clear the table before the next course came out. I was not expecting this and felt a bit rushed! I am Chinese so I’m used to just having a variety of dishes left on the table so everyone can sample everything at a leisurely pace. I felt bad that I had to keep telling the waiter, «no, I’m still working on it» and«ok NOW you can take my plate». Overall, I definitely recommend this place! My friend had a lot of fun trying everything! Just be warned, the dinner for two has enough food to feed four(except you get two of the soup, tea, and samosas and only ONE dessert). Also, the«medium» heat wasn’t even hot.

Expect to leave super stuffed! After a few people suggested we check out Palace of Asia, we decided to head over one night while we were craving Indian food. We arrived during dinnertime expecting it to be crowded but it was empty. Inside, the décor was very pretty. It was nicely decorated and had lovely fixtures and rugs. The servers aren’t the friendliest out there, but they weren’t rude either. We ordered garlic naan, chicken vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. The two entrees came with a side of rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. The quality of the food here is phenomenal and we were incredibly full after we left. Everyone I know who has come here commented about how full they left. Come on an empty stomach and enjoy!

hands down the best indian food in at least a 25 mile radius of wilmington. samosas, roti, potato and spinach cooked to perfection. this is what indian food is supposed to taste like. that said, i came in on today(saturday night), at 645 and the place was empty. i was the only patron. 2 people picked up takeout while i ate my dinner but that was it. not sure how they can stay in business. as far as the price, it was right on par for what you would expect. samosa 3.95, roti 2.95, potato and spinach 11.95.
