OMG, I loved this little riverfront location. We were in the Wilmington Delaware area for the weekend and stopped by here for some ice-cream and to enjoy the waterfront. The area was clean and very welcoming. I said to myself if I lived in this area I would frequent the waterfront regularly. There were a few restaurants on the water front side and an ice cream shop that we visited. We sat on the benches and just enjoyed the scenery for a while. We also took a stroll down the riverfront and took some pictures. There was a big ship that we checked out and read some of the literature they had about the riverfront area. On the other side of the riverfront was a mini mall of stores and gym. This is definitely a beautiful area to check out especially in the spring and summer. Yall can have it during the winter. LOL

It’s a simple waterfront. A bit contrived, but simple. I like it. It’s good for a stroll during lunchtime or a nighttime stroll. There are restaurants nearby, but that’s about it. There isn’t much to do here or in the city, but this would be a nice addition to any place.

I want everyone to come here and support the Wilmington River Front. It is a great place to live, play, and work. My husband and I live in the area. We love taking walks along the river. We have an array of excellent restaurants in the area such as Firestone, Big Fish Grill, Ubon Thai Cuisine, Harry’s Seafood Grill, Iron Brewery, Timothy’s. In addition, a Westin Hotel is being built. This place has nowhere to go except for up. Come on and support the Wilmington River Front.

Took a walk in Wilmington on a warm and sunny Saturday in January and it was awesome. Philadelphia should get with the program. Bars, restaurants and remants of Wilmingtons industrial past. There are markers along the way describing the local plants and birds, about the Native Americans that lived in the area and facts about the rivers part in World War 2. The Bluerocks stadium and Theatres(movie and performance) are located along the walk as well. A local artist makes birhouses that are located all along the path. Did I mention that at the end of the walk there is a nature reserve? I would imagine that in the warmer weather this place would be great for a walk, dinner or catch some live music. I am a big fan!

It’s a nice quiet place, on the edge of downtown Wilmington, to walk around. There are shops along the river. Nice photo ops as well.
