Great little dinner/breakfast place located next to the Wilmington RMV. I actually found this place because I had to go to the RMV and was pleasantly surprised at its existence — hidden in a strip mall. As others state– it is very clean inside– love that in a diner! I went in on a Saturday morning and there was no wait– several open tables. Menu had all the standard breakfast staples, eggs, pancakes. I had Florentine Eggs Benedict which were very tasty, and not overly heavy as some Eggs Benedict could be. Not an exceptionally large menu but anything you could want for breakfast. Service was quick and friendly, coffee was free flowing. No complaints. I’ll be back for sure.

Went in a few weeks ago and was told to be patient to be seated because of the crowd. When we were finally seated we waited and were ignored for about 20 minutes and watched 2 other tables of 4 people be seated and served by the same waitress before we got up and walked out. On our way out the same elderly woman who sat us very condescendingly said«Oh did No one help you? Bye!» very unprofessional. I myself work in the food business and never would have treated my customers with such poor service. Horrible first impression I won’t even give it a second thought.

First visit. Won’t be our last. The ladies were extremely friendly and social. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. We commented on the fresh baked«muffin breads» and was offered a sample. We bought a loaf, it was so good.

Always a great spot for your traditional breakfast items. I’ve been here 5 times now and 2 of those 5 times the food took a lot longer than most places but in the end it was worth it. If you’re on the go I’d definitely recommend picking up one of their«protein wraps» or just a breakfast wrap.

Great service. Friendly and local this place could be your neighborhood greasy spoon, if it weren’t so clean and cheery! Greeted with in 5 second of entering and approached by server within 15 seconds of sitting, these are standards for which fine dining strive. With the thermostat sitting below 30°, the smiling server offered me coffee in a variety of flavors(regular, french vanilla, hazelnut and decaf) Even thought it wasn’t even 9:00am, she explained the lunch menu was available all day if I saw something that caught my eye and if not, they could customize off menu for me. With the proximity to the DMV, this place would be the perfect spot to tick the hours away, waiting for your number to be called. They have a Weekday 5am-9am Special: 2 eggs, toast, bacon of sausage and 16oz coffee for $ 7.59. My omelet was awesome PARKING: Maybe there was construction when other Unilocalers were here, but there’s tons of parking. Some out front and on the side of the building with even more out back. Maybe because its a busy lot.

Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant. Stopped in on my way home from a medical appointment in Burlington. The service was spot on. The coffee was hot and multiple refills were offered. I had an American cheese omelet, home fries and white toast. The restaurant was neat and clean. I will be back with my entire family. The parking is very limited which prevents a 5 star rating.

The good news is, it is very clean and no waiting on Fathers Day… that’s all though. The service was slow and the portions were very small. I could count the number of home fries in my «hungry man» breakfast. My ham was tiny and dry. Very disappointing.

We just had breakfast this morning. My wife had an omelet and I had a Hungry Man breakfast. This place was great. Very nice people, great service and delicious, reasonably priced food. The entire place is spotless. My only regret is that I didn’t have the hash. The owner brought over a sample and it is probably the best I’ve ever had. A great breakfast, please try it!

I’ve been here many times and the food is great, the service is great, and we are loving their new breakfast menu! They just started sit-down breakfast service. We got eggs, ham/bacon, home fries, toast and coffee. The eggs were cooked perfectly – over easy was not too runny but not over cooked. The ham was phenomenal! They are new to serving breakfast and still working out some kinks but we were very happy with our meals.

It pains me to give negative feedback of a family owned local joint. Stopped in here a whileeeeee ago(maybe a couple months after they opened) and it was horrible. I cook a lot at home, so when I go out to eat I expect the establishment that I’m dining at to actually cook. Silly me, I guess. Our sandwich consisted of microwaved chicken strips, frozen peppers and onions that had been thawed and some nasty thousand island-y type sauce. To top it all off my husband and I had upset bellies for a solid 24 hours after. Clean up your act, sunrise! Wilmington needs more thriving local businesses.

Breakfast sandwich consists of microwaved liquid egg, place on aerosol sprayed bread placed in grill. Horrible ice tea, cost little over $ 10

I was here 6 months ago when this review was written. I mistakenly put this review on Sunnyside restaurant at Jefferson off Middlesex in Wilmington. I apologize to Sunnyside. I have not been back to Sunrise Kitchen. It is possible they stepped up their game. Will not go back! Went there«Grand Opening» weekend. Place your food order at counter they deliver food to the table and you never see them at your table again. You are limited to one coffee refill that you have to go to the counter and get it yourself. A free lemonade was offered when we ordered our food(grand opening freebie). Not sure how many people drink lemonade for breakfast. I live in the town and will return to the other three breakfast place.
