We’ve been here several times before and have always had friendly and efficient servers. We tried the ½ rack of ribs and crab cake. The ribs were excellent and the crab cake seemed to be all crab and no fillers. The tartar sauce had way too much lemon but as good as the crab was it didn’t really need the sauce. I like that you get to make your own selection for beer flights.

OMG I love this place. Their food is fantastic. Haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet. Beer selection is great and always changing. Brunch is awesome and also changes. Service is great and friendly. Definitely recommend.

This place is delightful for those who truly appreciate a gastropub. From décor to the delicious balsamic aioli dipping sauce this place does not disappoint. I think prices fit for where it is(strip mall in north Wilmington). If in Philly, I’m sure prices would be comparable to Monk’s and Eulogy.

Best place in North Wilmington to grab a big lunch or a nice dinner. Drinks are great, service is wonderful, and they are very accommodating of food allergies.

We’re not a big fan of chain restaurants but we aren’t from Delaware so we really don’t know of any local places that serve great drinks and good food. My husband and I decided to go on a whim on a Friday night after work. I really liked the atmosphere, the food was delicious and my drink was great. The blueberry cheesecake was amazing. I would’ve given them five stars but they sat us right outside of the kitchen and given the fact that we were the only people of color there… well that’s a sore subject within our community.

We were on a brunch quest prior to going to our first visit at the Delaware Art Museum and was looking for a place on the way. We were fairly certain we had never been to a place that billed itself as a gastro-pub. Any place with a glass moose head on the wall certainly must be worth a try. I’m glad we found the place. Indeed, it is in a nondescript strip mall but the interior suggested a posh locale in the big city. My Hubble had the shrimp and grits — good stuff. The grits were not instant and were divine(add cheese to anything and you will create something special). I had the hash with smoke pastrami. It too was just what I was hoping for on a cold Sunday. We look forward to a return visit to quaff some beer and try their non-brunchy stuff

Threw a surprise baby shower at Ulysses a few weekends ago and the experience was amazing! I give a 5 for the food: we did a brunch buffet which was about $ 18.95 per person. We got a smoked salmon platter(to die for!), prime rib scramble(imagine Philly cheesesteak over eggs. yum!) and a veggie frittata. We also got bacon and homefries. The food was the item people complimented on the most. The venue I would also give a 5 too. They had a beautiful private room that sat 24 for us but could probably seat more. It’s got this hunting lodge feel but still worked for the coed shower. The service/reservation process was also great but I’d give this more of a 3. There were supposed to be two women helping with our group, but I only ended up seeing one lady wait on us. She was doing her best but it was a big group so sometimes it was hard to get her attention. Also to reserve for a party you have to put down $ 100. They have you fill out a piece of paper with all your info on it – which is kinda scary for me. Wish they could just take the payment over the phone. Then they apply the $ 100 as a gift card to your bill. Not a big deal if you’re paying for everything, but in our case all the guests paid for their own food and drinks, my friends and I just organized the event. Overall they did an amazing job and I told the manager that!

It was a good place to relax and get some food. The waitress was nice and the food wasn’t bad. Definitely a place to stay by and eat some quick food.

I had the chance to try out Ulysses for a brunch with a total of ten people. The good thing about this place is that there is ample parking(it is located in a strip mall, afterall) and they take reservations. For large groups, those are two things you want. The brunch menu was pretty darn big, with lots of lunch and breakfast choices. I opted for the pumpkin stuffed French toast, which was delicious. A few people at the table tried it, and all thought it was mighty tasty. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and there wasn’t anything left on his plate when he was done, so I think it’s safe to say that he enjoyed it. Their coffee, I must say, received many compliments from the people I was with. I got some Baileys in mine, and it was a great way to start the morning. Overall the food was good and the décor was home-y and rustic. The bathrooms were clean, and the only complaint at all that I have is that the«over easy» eggs that came out were«over hard» as two members of my party described. Beyond that, everything was A-OK!

Had a quick and awesome lunch today. Ordered the chicken taco $ 3., and also a steak taco, $ 4. Helen, the server and staff were perfect as well as the food. Excellent atmosphere and music. For me, 4 ½ out of 5. I’ll be back.

2nd time that my wife and I have eaten here. We went last night, Monday evening, very easy to find a table. I had remembered the food being memorable and that’s why we came back. Last night’s meal was wonderful. We started off with the hummus platter. It fed both of us with a large portion of a light and freshly made hummus topped with feta cheese. Along with carrot and cucumber chips, just cut, and flat bread. Wife had a black bean burger with fries which she enjoyed and I had the Ulysses Steak Frites, a 8 oz Sirloin with a side of squash and fries topped with parmesan. The steak was done as I asked and it was very tender. I had a Brooklyn Brewery porter from draft(they had about 14 beers on tap) and my wife had a Woodchuck cider also from draft. Followed the meal up with Strawberry cheesecake which was very creamy with a nice graham cracker crust, and actually was a Strawberry cheesecake and not some out of the box plain cheescake with a lop of berry syrup on the top. We had a pleasant time too as the waitress was attentive and the ambiance of the place tastefully done. The only reason I subtract a star is the offerings could have a few more items for vegetarians for my vegetarian wife. Otherwise check this place out. Don’t by pass it because it is in a strip mall. It is a gem.

Taste Quality: Party of 6 ordered a variety of items from the menu: the chicken cheesesteak(see pic) which came with fresh kettle chips, Margarita pizza, caeser salad, catfish Reuben, just to name a few. All were fresh and delivered on nice, modern plating. Delicious fare from a local restaurant and not in a ‘generic’ way. Did not order alcoholic drinks but saw a medium crowd enjoying the bar. Pricing: Decently priced. Appropriate for their brand and ambiance, reflective of North Wilmington. Seating/Atmosphere: Tables are not crowded together. Decent A/C, soft lighting and interesting décor, representative of a true pub. Music played lightly in the background. Dinner guests consisted of a more mature crowd and working professionals. Service: The hostess was not overly friendly but our main server was satisfactory. They may need to improve their ‘welcoming’/hospitality traits for a more fun experience(our server and hostess didn’t smile much), but it’s something a workshop training could fix. Location: In a plaza, next to Rite Aid and a string of stores and smaller eateries. Outside is deceiving. The real attraction is inside. Parking: Shares lot with all plaza patrons. Easy to find a space. Time of visit: Dinner Likely to visit again: Yes, but only to host other guests who have not been there before.

Have I eaten here too often? When UGP opened, it was fresh & exciting. The menu was constantly changing. It was regularly something new and always very tasty. Recently tho, the menu never changes. It is static and the dishes do not have the original flair. I think this is due to the first owners building a great business, flipping it and the new proprietors not having the same imagination or talent in the kitchen. They do have lots of beer tho, so A+ on that.

Went here a few days ago with a friends — had some good beers and the food was solid. I had the brisket mac & cheese with goat cheese and we split some appetizers. Not a lot of crazy stuff in the area, but this place has good drinks and good food and is a nice option if you are in the area.

Beer selection is A+. Pizza was tasty and the portion size was nice(split between me and two lady friends). Cheesesteak eggrolls were good, nothing to write home about but tasty. Loved the dip that came with my fries. I had a sandwich with broccoli rabe in it thay was soggy but tasty. The music and the atmosphere is five stars. This is a classy/hip bar that will surely impress your date, guys! Tattooed with a beard and a nice collared shirt is the type of style for this bar. Have fun!

We are practically in this places back yard so I am bummed I don’t love their food. My husband is a beer guy and it is so convenient; we do still go here about once a month. I try to eat before hand. It’s not terrible at all, it just all sounds so much better than it is: which is mediocre and inconsistent, like there is no chef back there doing quality control before cooks send stuff out half assed. Wings soggy, sandwiches thrown together. The burger is good and those prime rib nachos will kill any hangover. Just underwhelmed by the food coming out of this kitchen. We don’t really mind but the bartenders are not super warm or welcoming, even on a slow night. Feel special if you get a hello or a smile when menus are dropped. Décor is super cool with white subway tiles and black and white striped walls with red accents. Kudos to the designer.

I went here for lunch on Saturday and it was great! They have an awesome gluten free menu so that deserves a couple stars in itself. It was pretty dead when we went in, but our server was very attentive and accommodating. It is a cool layout and it would be a nice date night or happy hour spot. The dress is dressy casual. Definitely will be back for dinner to try their drinks!

I have no complaints about this place. It is absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere, not too loud, not too hot or cold, not too crowded. The décor is spot on, and I’m about to get another paragraph going about the food. First off, their beer selection is the best I’ve seen in Delaware. Hands down. Second, their entire menu looks delicious. I wanted like 10 things. The menu wasn’t overwhelming but had a lot of unique things to choose from. I like that about restaurants. I want to go places that don’t have menus you can’t find anywhere else. Ulysses is JUST that. I ordered the Fire and Smoke pizza with the jalapeños on the side. AMAZING. So delicious. And my friend and I split their kettle chips w/BBQ ranch sauce. I could have drank that sauce and called it a night and I would have been happy. Wow. Do not miss out on those chips and dip! I didn’t get a dessert but my friend was extremely impressed and pleased with the PB&J pie! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. CANNOTWAIT to go back!

First off, I gotta give a shout out to our fabulous server, Chase. He was attentive and had a great attitude the whole time we were there. On to the food: we started with the prime rib nachos and the crab & spinach dip to start. The nachos were good, but really should have been called«Cheesesteak Potato Chips» because that’s what they are. The crab & spinach dip was delish. It’s definitely my fave dish thus far. For the main course, I got the Catfish Reuben on brioche instead of rye. It was delicious. I’d order it again. My friends also seemed happy with their dishes. Tried the mushroom soup. Didn’t like it, but it might be for someone else. Had wine as my beverage. Chardonnay to be exact. It was decent, but next time(yes, there will definitely be a next time), I’ll go for one of the many tasty beers they have on tap. Overall, I would give Ulysses 4.5 stars, but settled for 5 since it’s all Unilocal allows. Plus, this place deserves the extra half star bc it’s pretty cool for Wilmington, DE!
